Met Pat Barry 4yrs ago at a GYM sparring - he was AWESOME and just down to earth - he TALKED and HELPED us all out offering advice on technique - showing us areas to work on ETC....wonderful work ethic and humble as HECK!!......Top Bloke :D God Bless Pat
Didn't you know. EVERYONE on the internet is a 50th degree black belt at every martial art ever created and have been practicing EACH for over 100 years and have killed thousands of men in REAL combat.
I am sure there many Grandmasters up here commenting how they would hit that machine where it will goes over 10,000 or blow up the machine. But they will not fight or show their techniques because it is to dangerous ; ) LMAO..........
I remember reading years ago that Pat does working sets of box squats with something like 605. That's an amazing amount of force generation. No surprise that he's known as one of the most powerful kickers ever.
you would be out cold or dead . quite a few ufc fighters can generate over 50g thats the fresshold of what a human can take in a impact to the head. theirs a vid on here with baz rutten delivering a 50g punch to a mock skull set up think is a sports science vid. only matter of time befor we see a fatal head kick on ufc.
You wouldn't care or wonder about anything. You'd just drop to the ground where you stood, stone dead from massive head trauma or catastrophic spinal cord and brain injury. You'd simply be dead.
If we were to see it it would have been someone like Cro Cop or Overeem who would pull it off. I don't know too many guys that can kick like that, specially whilst in a fight.
eruweraranj0r yes because he has a thigh the size of my two thighs combined, imagine if he had the same speed like jose aldo and edson barboza , he would kill ppl
Haha hell yea! Pat Barry is the mothafuckin man!! Dudes an awesome fighter and has a great personality as well. He dont care about his win/loss record, just cares about putting up an exciting fight and he should get major props for that.
Actually my full name is Mark Lewis, and I live in Hereford UK. I am currently on a holiday in the USA for the next two weeks.I flew out from London Heathrow and landed in JFK. From here I spent 4 days in New York, before now travelling across the country.
@DeFy18 I wonder if he was 'hugging him' because his two main weapons were broken? his power hand and power foot, can you imagine kicking someone so hard bones in your feet break, then kicking them some more? he didnt choke, he wasnt star struck - he was injured.
I guess I'm the only one to say that no one believes the people who say they hit harder than these guys... C'mon seriously no one believes you stop trying to impress no one ... You are cool never
Yup. Have known people like this. So competitive, it's hard as hell for them to quit something until they've gotten a result they believe they should be capable of getting. It can be incredibly obnoxious in person. But at the same time, they're usually the ones to achieve the status of champion. All a matter of what you value.
He doesnt seem to be putting his HIP and torque into it. Just seems hes using leg muscle only. Still a hard kick but if he did full body dynamics he'd break 1500 easily. I know because my fat ass can get about 1100.
I don't know if all these punchbag machines are calibrated the same... but if they are... theres video of Conor Mcgregor (145lber) putting up around 950 with a punch!!!! That's pretty embarrassing for Pat Barry, a heavyweight whos getting that with a hi kick...
Aqhi007 Connor would fuck around and get merked in a boxing match against someone with skills comparable to Mike Tyson or either of the Sugar Rays. Hell, someone with basic boxing skills probably could. Completely different comparison, completely different sport.
Udabenya Conor is a national Irish boxing champ you know? Or are you that ignorant? So nah not someone with basic skills, a lot of pros would beat him though.
Balance and flexibility... kick is more impressive than a punch at this machine. Not everyone can kick that high and stay on their feet using that much power.
This and other challenges should be done as distractions in fight nights by guest fighters not on the card. Just like a cool arcade style obstacle course.
The reason the kick was only scoring as much as some punches is because kicks have driving power. They don’t stop skin deep they push through it. That’s why they knock you out A punch has more speed and thus similar force because it makes up for the missing mass, but because it has less mass it’s easier to stop and on anything that gives more resistance than the punching machine, the kick would have much more force
