Pat McAfee addresses College GameDay disapproval in new poll | The Pat McAfee Show 

I’ve been watching gameday for 20+ years.. the show desperately needed Pat to keep that funny, intense energy that LC has always brought.

The only reason I watch College Game Day is because of Pat McAfee. Sports needs more people like him in it. Real people. Not robots or posers. Real people with real emotions who voice their opinions and love sports.

Gameday is in a transition season. It hasn't been what it was for the last few years Seems like Pat is bridging the shift to the next generation of what Gameday will be. Keep doing what you do, Pat.

I only see clips of Pat's show but this is the most I've heard A.J. Hawk speak. In every clip, this dude is smoking a cigar and nodding, best fucking gig on the planet.

I for one love watching you on Gameday Pat. I never cared much for it because those on it didn’t seem real or legitimate. You bring an aspect on sincerity and genuineness to the show. Keep doing what you do Pat, love watching you on Gameday

I haven’t watched college game day in nearly ten years. I started watching again specifically because you are leading it. I wasn’t aware of any poll but if I had been it would have been a MASSIVE approval. Where are these polls even coming from?

There are huge positives for having Pat on GameDay and huge negatives.... Positive: his energy matches the entire college crowd and it's refreshing whenever the stale old product gets updated. Negative: he's not that appealing for the casual person at home drinking coffee at 9 am and don't want to see Pat scream his head off and always pick the hosting team no matter what.

I'm a nebraska cornhusker fan and love tradition. Pat is bringing GameDay to what it needs to be for the future. Pat is an "every man" with knowledge of the inside of the game not many have. He's what college football is! Brash, hard-core, energetic, fun. What more could you ask for. Keep it movin

I’ve always enjoyed GameDay and I believe Pat/crew has added to the show. Pat is a relatable sports stooge that actually has NFL experience at the highest level. Change is hard folks, but give it time.

I watched the entire Ohio State Gameday episode. I haven’t watched an entire pre (or post) game show in years. They have been the same old product since I can remember until Pat came along. Bringing attitude to sports shows. Get it!

I can't stand Pat for the most part but he is knowledgeable, entertaining enough and I respect him for his views. Change is hard especially when it comes to sports shows. I'm still struggling with undisputed without sharpe.

I am a HUGE fan of Pat and I think he is perfect for Gameday but he does try too hard at times to be “Pat” while on the College Gameday show. I think if he just learns to trust himself and be like he is on this show then the majority will grow to love em like we do

People are so stuck in their ways when it comes to watching tv. I was so sick and tired of watching “proper” analyst’s. Saying all the cliches. Pat is legit a breath of fresh air. Pat is ONE OF US. He is literally just a regular guy, fan, and big ball of energy. Wear the tank top. Say the things everyone is thinking but too scared to say. I swear the only reason people hate him is cause they ain’t him. You WISH you could get on a stage and say/do the things he does. It truly says a lot when people are more than willing to come on his show. I mean Aaron Rodgers shows up every Tuesday because he loves the energy Pat and the boys bring. (Yes, Pat pays him, but if you listened when he addressed this, Aaron didn’t even want the money) and honestly the biggest guest he has now is Nick Saban. NICK SABAN WILLINGLY GOES ON THE SHOW EACH WEEK. And I think it was last week they were saying bye to him and Saban said something like “I really appreciate this. You guys have great energy and ask football questions and I appreciate and love doing this” I mean seriously, everyone who doesn’t like Pat is just a jealous person who wishes they could do what he is doing. Pat also knows and he’s extremely blessed. Literally every chance he gets “I live the dumbest life of all time, this show stinks” I get off work everyday and go watch the RU-vid videos of the show that day on my ride home. Many folks can't stand ESPN anymore. Pat does a fine job. But there wasn't any reason to get rid of Pollack. He was good. Also playing a Big & Rich song. While dumping B&R. Not good! ESPN is as woke as they get. Big Noon Kickoff will become the the go to show.

I have to say that Pat has made watching "Gameday" fun again for me. I will be honest that I had stopped watching ALL college football pregame shows for several years because they were just flat out boring. The ESPN College Gameday had become (in many parts) like a Public Access Cable TV show for me. I would check in but I had not made it a priority to watch, that is until Pat McAfee became a regular member of the show. The people that were let go were good but I had grown tired of them and would not watch any longer. I TRULY HOPE THAT DOES IN FACT STAY ON "COLLEGE GAMEDAY" he has become the reason that it is now Appointment TV for me. I get up in time to have my coffee and watch the show. He has also help make the rest of the show watchable again !!!

Pat and Kirk are the best thing on GameDay.

I watch Pat cause hes a Western PA guy and I'm a Western PA guy. He doesnt run from topics, he tackles them head on, he has great guests and they speak frankly, whats not to like? Its refreshing coming out of the Trump era where everyone was so gdamn divided and tense, you could feel tension EVERYWHERE! You could lock up a bar or restaurant like grabbing a cat by the back of its neck by simply uttering a word or two about something controversial. Insanity. And Pat is the antidote to that.

This is just another example of legacy media not understanding the fans/public. I don't know who was polled, or how "cooked" the poll was, but every single guy my age loves Pat and the boys. We love Pat and the fellas because they don't take themselves too seriously. They know how to have fun, and know how to make people laugh, while also talking football. Dumbasses in legacy media still don't understand that. They want Pat to be some boring, professional hack. Here is the fact - ESPN NEEDS Pat and the boys, but Pat and the boys don't need ESPN. The sooner ESPN realizes that, the better. ESPN has been declining in popularity over the past half decade, while Pat and the boys have been exploding in popularity during that same time period. That says infinitely more than some fake news "poll".
