It’s stupid Jayson Is a high volume scorer team USA don’t need that. There are better role players style stars that are on this team why can’t they understand that? Book is an example he isn’t scoring because his role is different but he is so efficient and good at his role he gets a lot of minutes. You take a look at Tatum he is not efficient he needs volume to be somewhat efficient in 5-6 shots he will go 2-5/6 and they don’t need that. Just look at how Efficient Jrue , White, Ant, KD , and Book are. It’s almost like these ppl don’t know the game at all

Problem is that people don't wanna be honest about the real facts of the game. In every sport, the team chooses the best players to execute the game plan than the stardom of a certain player. It's not about what the player does for their respective teams but what they do on the court and if they will execute the game plan. It's not about the ish discussed here. Creating noise and creating egos unnecessarily in the mind of players benched.

People in their minds have created a perception of Tatum of being a player much better than he actually is. He's objectively the worst non big man catch and shoot guy on team USA. He can't be out there chasing 6'2 guards on defense. So guys like Jrue, Ant, White, and even Booker are more valuable defensively in that aspect. And he's a bit hesitant with the ball in his hands.

I just learned that the 92 dream team had 6 different starting lineups in 8 games during the Olympics in Barcelona. Michael Jordan was the only player that started every game.
