As someone else mentioned Jaime, Al was awesome on the show a few weeks back. The reason Al seems to love being on Pat's show is because it's the dream. Al has spent his career working for giant corporations w/ big sponsors so he's always had to be at least a bit reserved. Pat on the other hand answers to no one. His whole brand his being unfiltered. So Al is kind of living vicariously through Pat's show.

@phillbucs 2 года назад
Knowing EA the only way you can get Madden on the cover is if you purchase the something higher than the standard version of the game. Like the Gold Edition or the Ultimate Edition. Would be different a portion of profits from the cover sales went to either one of his charities like helping juvenile diabetes, Type I diabetes, and or the Special Olympics. This is just my opinion for whatever that might be worth. Be safe and take care everyone and have a great New Year!

John Madden was a great all around individual. I’m old enough to remember when he was coach of the Raiders. He was one of a kind.. I’ve always been an Al Michael’s fan too, and love his commentary. The one time that will always stand out to me was during the 1989 World Series and Al went from baseball announcer to news reporter covering the earthquake in the Oakland area like it was just part of his job. He never broke stride in what he was doing and had to talk about.👍🏻👍🏻

It's weird to here Pat say he didn't know much about Madden bc he isn't a gamer. I'd argue just as many, if not more, don't know him from gaming. Growing up he was the announcer who always seemed like he was on TV. Dude's voice was a staple in so many living rooms. In a day where every1 hates most of the announcers not named Romo, Madden was a perennial figure in so many homes that ppl loved, many of those homes without a gaming console

Watching Pat make Al crack up absolutely made my day.......Madden was beyond a trail blazer in regards to modern day football and entertainment. The rules of life are alot like the game of football and he had a huge hand in teaching that way 💙🏈 RIP to such a great human being ❗🙏

Here is where Pat went wrong in the coaching department on Madden. 4th down 4th quarter up 4pts with 16 seconds. Here is how you win the game. You put in your fastest player at QB, then you run around and make sure to take a knee in your own endzone. Try to run out the clock or take the safety. Then squib it in bounds let any remaining time expire, game over. You win by 2 points. ✌ Coach Dave's Steelers Special

Dude explained every play like he was telling someone who never watched football. He helped grow the game in my opinion greater than any single human.

He is the best ambassador the NFL ever had. He was, for me and I'm sure many other kids born in the 90's and after, the first football surname heard. Before playing the game, you mention his name: I'm playing Madden. As long as EA keeps the game we will hear his name being mentioned, and some kids that are more curious will go and research who he is and his history. As Pat said, he was a coach until the end. For the first 20 years (counting his period as assistant and HC) on the sidelines and for the final 30 he was the coach to millions in homes through multiple platforms (radio, tv and games, why not) However, that was the impact for my generation. Needless to mention his hall of fame work on the sidelines and broadcast booths. I cannot add on what Pat, the Crew and Al said

Pat was definitely a player Madden would have loved to cover!
