I played high school ball with a guy who went on to play for William and Mary. He was on the team when Tomlin was and my friend was his mentor. He said Tomlin was the same in college and what you see is exactly who he is. My friend now coaches high school football and he asked Tomlin to talk to the team a couple of years ago. He didn’t expect Tomlin to come during the high school season as it coincided with the NFL’s. Without hesitating,Tomlin agreed, hopped in his car and drove four hours one way to talk to my friend’s team. He stayed for a while and watched the kids practice. Class guy all around.

Pat has created such a chill platform that players and coaches actually want to come on to because its relaxed, other shows only give this show crap because they're jealous they don't have that appeal.

I am under the firm belief that every single player in the Steelers would run through a wall for Tomlin. Is amazing how he gets to guys to commit to his philosophy and so quickly. You already hear the rookies talking about the Standard and sharpening iron with iron in press conferences. Also, next time they play the Colts and have to kick a FG, Tomlin will have Minkah line up at the C Gap.

Man, this was epic. I have watched Pat since the beginning. Who knew this evolution was coming? Getting Tomlin and all the guests, that not even the mainstream sports networks get, is an amazing JOURNALISTIC achievement. Its humor and insight that you don't get anywhere else. There is something to be said for the way he interviews and interacts with his peers. With Rogers and all the exclusive guests he gets this is becoming the place to come to for sports interviews. I'm borne and raised in Ga and TN so I've always (unfortunately most seasons) been a Falcons and Titans fan, but I've always had huge respect for the Steelers organization and their ability to play winning football and filthy defense year after year after year. It's hard to do at any level, but in the league where it's the all stars of the all stars every game and where turnover is so rapid, it's unheard of. Big Ben has been one of my favorites since he was at Miami Ohio, and who didn't love Polamalu and the most vicious WR ever in Hines Ward. Best of luck Steelers fans
