As a diehard Celtics fan, I can say you're 1000% right. All I've heard all year, the entire regular season, the entire playoffs, up until the past few days, is hate and disrespect for the Boston Celtics from sports media and fans by and large. Even now, being up 3-0 Boston haters are still running their mouths. From my perspective, Ive never seen so much hate and discontent towards a team, especially a championship caliber team. After being one of the most statistically dominant teams in NBA history, it is So fulfilling to completely dismantle Dallas, the team 89% of America predicted to win handily, and shut the haters mouths emphatically.

Happy for Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum. They have been ridiculed for being the one seed consistently without playoff success. This is their time now and the basketball gods have rewarded their patience.

Saw a lot of growth in them both. Jaylen’s defense compared to past years has been amazing, better handle too. When Tatum shots weren’t falling in 2022, he fell to the pressure. When they weren’t falling this year, he ran point for 12 assists. Celtics fans don’t care who the FMVP is, we’re just happy it’s between them two.
If the Celtics sweep the Mavs they will have a record of 80-20 combining regular season and playoffs. They will also be the ONLY team to sweep the Eastern Conference Finals and Finals on the same season. People can’t try to diminish how dominant they have been all year long, but numbers don’t lie. Our Long Nightmare may finally be over! This drought! We have not had a championship . . . in . . . well . . . the 2020s! There are children, CHILDREN!, who in tears ask their parents if they will ever see a championship! There are adults in New York asking the same thing, but no one cares.
I love how they brought up how everybody ignored and dismissed Boston's dominance all year because of their history of coming up short and now they are about to win the championship. What the haters failed to realize is that all that choking in the past paid off. They learned from their mistakes. In the past, everytime they blew a huge lead they would fold. Now they continue to play hard and find a way to get the job done. Thats growth!! As far as luka, he will be back in the finals some day and he will remember this failure and we will come back better. That's what sports is all about. Tbh, I'm not even a Luka fan, but his complaining isn't THAT irritating. The problem is HE CAN'T DEFEND. That should be the only thing we talk about. You shouldn't make an All-NBA team if you're the worst defender on the court 9 times out of 10. That in itself invalidates these NBA awards. Also, we boxed out fairly well in games one through three. We do it again Friday, and it's Duck Boat time.

I mean he spent a lot of time on the sidelines, but him playing made this already championship caliber team better. And he definitely contributed more in the 2 games he played than any bench player will in most 7 game series, let alone NBA finals.

Windy is absolutely correct about Luka. He has been the golden boy who has the world in his palm since 15. He was spoiled and his complete lack of effort on defense is a horrid role model for anyone. Am tired of seeing him bitching about the refs on tv.
