I’m truly impressed with the monologue. Here’s the context, he didn’t have a writer due to the strike. So everything Pat said he genuinely meant (instead of a script telling him to praise A, B, and C). Yeah, he has years of experience with his podcast, but it’s a huge difference chilling with the boys, and doing a standup bit.

I love that he's shouting out EVERYONE and all of these athletes look so shy and embarrassed because they're not used to being actually celebrated and respected for their accomplishments, and all Pat and his show does is celebrate athletic excellence. Great monologue

ESPN just showcased their new star signing and wow what a showcase that was. Pat is and has always been a man of the people. His style and delivery is very natural, almost conversational but it grabs your attention. Looks like ESPN made the right free agent move
