A melody of genius, Pat Metheny has always represented the "future" before its time and since 1984 +/- that I listened to the first "4-track cassette" already, it was modern, because there was also the " 8 Tracks cassette" the sound was not comparable to the 4 tracks or the vinyls of the time so imagine The Digital which would persist until the Internet File So the album OFFRAM by Pat Metheny Group and the track "How You Going Whit Me" overwhelmed me and I was not the only Montreal Jazz Festival in 1980 and pat Metheny was the "darling of the first Montreal Jazz Festivals founded in 1980 Thank you @André Breton for sharing 😎
It wouldn't be a Pat Metheny concert without him playing his signature track which has been a staple part of every live show since 82 and no matter how many times I hear it, his guitar synth solo always makes the hair on my arms stand up while continuing to get better with listen
Pat He is so inventive brilliant funny respectful. I must agree this is a signature tune. But I have been a devotee since I worked on his first ECM Release and man he’s written or played more signature tunes than almost any Guitarist alive (or passed). There are few people like Wes Montgomery,Eric Gale, Kenny Burrell, Rit, Jim Hall, Jeff Beck , Luke, Carlton Ido not have room for more) who have invented completely new Paradigms …..oh yeah Pat Martino ! Thanks for this excellent upload.
Sûrement une des plus belles introduction dans l'histoire de la musique. J'écoute '' Are you going with me '' depuis sa sortie. Nous sommes en octobre 2022... 👍🎶🥂

Okay, so this solo by Pat is sooo beautifully melodic in the first phase of his solo and sounded totally original and unique from his other stellar solos that seem to be familiar licks and patterns of notes, nonetheless, spectacular, but similar but then there was.... This... Felt like hearing the song for the very first time again.... Incredible, Pat. Thank you from East coast
