I am from Greenland, the biggest island. I have always loved listening to Miriam Makeba and my classmates call me Makeba. Thank you so much for the Music and the History. ♥️🙏🏽

Thank you so much, ulialkimi, for sharing this MASTERPIECE, Pata Pata - Playing for Change!!!! Yeah, do it, one more time. Excellent vocals, combining riveting instrumentation, ..... that high guitar..... The LION won't even get a chance to sleep with such superb excitation. G-U-Y-S, You're NUMERO UNO!!!!! DO IT one more time!!!! Hahaha!!!🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
This is a medley of three songs from South Africa: "Pata Pata" by Miriam Makeba, Mbube or The Lion Sleeps Tonight by Soloman Linda, and Sebaka Nyana (Dichabeng/Destany) by Malakia. It took me almost a year of begging online, anywhere I could, for someone to tell me the name of the third song on this medley!
🙏👍👏 Thank you for the research. Didn’t know about the last two especially Solomon Linda. I also have been for years searching a song apparently Mozart featured on a documentary about him on A&E. No joy like yours.
... *hips moving* up and down: 1:09 - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandpa_Elliott *always on fire* ;-) ... and unfortunately without him in this *amacing concert:* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-peaGe8sGXBM.html&i=playing-for-change_amphitheater_full-show
I have only just seen on the internet that grandpa Elliot died in march 2022 💔 R.I.P brother. Thank you playing for change for making his dreams come true
