In your time of trial and tribulations, I say, with my whole heart and soul, Slava Ukraine 🙏 I'll work to get more aid, meaning, I'll petition my representatives, in Congress, in Washington DC, to find a way through those in our Congress, who side with Russian President Vladimir Putin, over Ukraine and those in the United States who support Ukraine and their democracy ! The battle to keep democracy alive across the planet, is upon us now. I won't falter ! I'll support my desire for a democratic Ukraine, and anywhere else people desire a democratic governance ! If I were younger, no heart condition, I'd want to do like Malcolm Nance, Naval Intelligence, did ! Join you there ! I won't stop advocating 😢 more aid to Ukraine ! Slava, all my Ukrainian brothers and sisters ! ✊ From an American citizen. May Peace Be With You 🕊️
I would rather go blind than see you walk away from me ....... No no no don't go.... l love you. I was just, .... lwas just...... Again and again this is a great song I listen again and again.
We saw Grandpa Elliott on many occasions over the years when he would play on various street corners in the French Quarter ( New Orleans, of course ). His unique repertoire of musical talents needs no description, but , being only a few feet away while he performed was a very special and culturally immersive experience! When I saw him on the Playing For Change format, it was nostalgic yet spot on with our current world peace and unity ambitions! Grandpa Elliott’s stage presence was just perfecto!!
Great show i Can understand th world's what is going on thank you for making this world a beautiful place i can't say enough how good the music makes me feel thank you and God bless us all 😅😂

Grandpa Elliott (born Elliot Small; July 10, 1944 - March 8, 2022), also known as Uncle Remus, was a veteran street-musician in New Orleans, Louisiana. He's now singing on the STREETS PAVED WITH GOLD. God rest his soul...
Wow. Just Wow. I used to live in Vancouver and I sure wish I'd been there for this fantastic night of music at the Commodore! Clarence Bekker--what a voice! And Louis Mhlanga!! Mind blowing!!
Oh my . 😔 I clicked on this video because I spotted Grandpa Elliot . Had not yet read the news . Such a great loss. I only just discovered him through the “playing for change “ videos . I feel like I missed out on one of the great voices because he is gone so soon after my late introduction to his wonderful voice. Rest easy Sir. ✌️💕💔

I will Ty tears for a while when I watch his videos for loving his music , voice, soul, love and for just knowing he’s gone and no new videos to be seen. Tho these will be seen and cherished by millions to come. Rest in PeaceGrandpa Elliot…. Now you can really sing to and be with the Angel in Heaven ! ☮️💟✝️
Thank you from the depths of my heart and soul for “Highlighting my reply to my hero’s death. He always will have a special place in my heart n soul. Ii is on my bucket list to one day be healthy enough and have the money to one day go to New Orleans and look him up so I could actually meet him and give him the biggest hug he ever had. And then tell him how much he has meant to me. Especially in the times I have not been able to do much more than go to Drs n be home trying to laugh n smile n sing. And he did that for me….. I love you GrandpaElliot 💝 RIP
Fifty years ago I dreamed of everything that PFC stands for. Today, I still hold that hope and I’m crying tears of sorrow for all of the opportunities missed, for the lives lost…And I’m crying tears of joy and of hope and of love for all of the opportunities that we have and the joy we make and the love that we hold for each other. The music says it all to those who care to listen. Grandpa, rest easy, you are loved and your legacy is held safe in strong arms. Peace. ✊🕊✌️❤

Verse 1] 25 years and my life is still Tryin' to get up that great big hill of hope For a destination I realized quickly when I knew I should That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man For whatever that means [Pre-Chorus] And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out what's in my head And I, I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning and I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream from the top of my lungs "What's going on?" [Chorus] And I say, hey-ey-ey Hey-ey-ey I said "Hey, a-what's going on?" And I say, hey-ey-ey Hey-ey-ey I said "Hey, a-what's going on?" [Bridge] Ooh, ooh Ooh Ooh, uh huh Ooh, ooh Ooh Ooh, uh huh [Verse 2] And I try Oh my God, do I try I try all the time In this institution And I pray Oh my God, do I pray I pray every single day For revolution [Pre-Chorus] And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out, what's in my head And I, I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning and I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream from the top of my lungs "What's going on?" [Chorus] And I say, hey-ey-ey Hey-ey-ey I said "Hey, what's going on?" And I say, hey-ey-ey Hey-ey-ey I said "Hey, a-what's going on?" And I say, hey-ey-ey (Wake in the morning and step outside) Hey-ey-ey (Take a deep breath and I get real high) (And I scream) I said "Hey, a-what's going on?" And I say, hey-ey-ey (Wake in the morning and step outside) Hey-ey, yeah yeah yeah (Take a deep breath and I get real high) (And I scream) I said "Hey, a-what's going on?" [Bridge] Ooh, ooh Ooh Ooh, uh huh [Outro] 25 years and my life is still Tryin' to get up that great big hill of hope For a destination, mmm
