"I need 2500 nethershards. Less would be useless, more would be inadequate. why are you looking at me like that? I've done the math. don't question my methods. Go!
"By my right of succession to the crown, I order you to purge this city." Then he proceeded to purge his father. I think Arthas did enough purging to become king. @__@
@@laulout859 Dead. And their ghostly images are being projected by the old gods because..... N'zoth has a sick sense of humor.....? Yeah I have nothing........ :(
There was a Night Elf priest that class rolled to paladin, paladins are simply priests with melee weapons and plate armor, rerolling is a thing in lore.
HEROES NEVER DIE! ^^ no seriously we need Mercy on HOTS. I know she would be contesting that spot with Auriel but Heroes never die on HOTS would be so hillarious.
Um, uh doesn't resurrection require a body, I'm pretty sure Varian got vaporized/ teleported to the nexus/burned to ash, all those seem like they would make resurrection pretty hard
When he saved his father from a Twilight's Hammer assassin he was approximately 11 yrs. old. When he stood toe to toe against Garrosh he was about 13 - 14 yrs. old. Now he's carrying the weight of the crown, the Alliance and a world war on his shoulders. Any one that thinks this young man doesn't have balls is an idiot.
I love how they framed Anduin's face throughout the entire video from an angle so it looked softer, he looked younger and more like the boy king. But at that end part it looks him directly head on and he's got his father's sharper and more hard-lined face.
One of the really cool things was that I noticed was that whenever Varian used Shalamayne, it was always this really angry orange-red color, which matched Varian's personality. Anduin, however, re-ignites the blade with the color of the Light.
priest energy is warm yellow, the script for saurfang holding shal o main was the same but the cinematic didnt show the switch in color from the priest to the warrior, when the scrip was read on blizzcon they read "from the warm yellow energy of the priest to a red color for that of the warrior" something like that
Not just for Anduin and Greymane. Velen is also a father who lost his son. So there are two fathers, each of whom have both lost their respective son, now both advisors to a son who lost his father.
We've seen this kid grow from standing next to Bolvar Fordragon in vanilla. For him trying to push his boundaries and explore in cataclysm. To him being a diplomat in Pandaria. He had the chance to poison Garrosh Hellscream with poisoned food in War Trials, and he refused! But now, we see him a rising king. It gives me goosebumps to think that some of us were with him since the very beginning, and have seen his rise. They say men with dreams to be a king, one should first be a man. But in Anduins case, he has almost grew up all on his own. May he follow in the legacy of Anduin Lothar (the lion of Azeroth.) Anduin, Varian, and his mother would be proud. #FortheAlliance
Well considering Tyrande is a priest that has gotten away with using a bow since Vanilla, I doubt Blizzard will do anything about this priest using a sword.
when i very first started wow back in vanilla i made a Night elf priestess cause i wanted to ride around on a cat using a bow and starfall, like the priestess of the moon hero on warcraft 3, i was sooooo disappointed, even more so when they took our starshards racial away and gave it to undeserving druids
Yup, i hope Blizz let them develop a pseudo father-son relationship. I liked in the Alliance Epilogue how Greymane stood there while Anduin gave his speech and you can read in his face: "He reminds me of you, Liam. A shame you can`t see it."
@@OutcastTribe guys chill its already happening Gen is always there by his side protecting him and giving him advise check out how Gen always is the next shot when we see anduin after varian died basicly in every cinematic after that you get anduin then right next to him the next guy who talks is Gen
"there was another golden-haired beloved Prince once. He was a paladin, and yet he turned his back on the light"- garrosh, when he had a conversation with anduin in war crimes. anduin will hopefully be everything arthas could've been.
Actually it is Arthas's fault. The light is wielded by neither good nor evil. It is strong in those who have faith in it and believe and have no doubts of its purpose and function. Arthas started to doubt he could save his people, he abandoned the light in search of something that could save them and in doing so the light refused to stand with him.
I really like it when varian say: "What a king must do" in the flashback, which indeed fits very well with Varian. I mean, usually flashback like these I would expect things like: "LEAD" or "FIGHT" etc.
Anduin joined an instance group. Gennizcool says: omg u tw3rp wht r u do1ng h3re? Anduin says: I had to come! I can't afford a 100 boost! Varianxxrox says: rez me u tard! Anduin says: stahp it! Varianxxrox raises his fist in anger.
You can always have respect for the other side in this game^^ I'm Alliance player (have tons of alts for Horde though, just annoyed since Cataclysm with Blizzard for showing favortism to Horde) but there are plenty of characters from Horde that I love. And I had to stop myself from shouting "FOR VOL'JIN! FOR THE HORDE! FOR THE HORDE!" along with everybody in that Horde cinematic
catxborsuq1 the horde is watered down now. i blame thrall for giving power to garrosh in the first place. literally none of this would happen if he hadn't brought back garrosh from outland
It's not really Thrall's fault because of that, because Garrosh proved to be very competent in Northrend. It was his choice to appoint Garrosh as Warchief that set the events towards Legion in motion. No Warcheif Garrosh = the events of 'War Crimes' dont happen (and all of MoP plays out differently as well!) = No WoD in the same capacity = No Legion in the same capacity.
This has always been my favorite legion cinematic. The raw emotion that clearly displays what was going on in anduins head the whole time. It's gorgeous.
Varian died because he went Fury and enraged. He killed that Reaver in arms and then was like "pssh this is easy" and swapped to fury, his enrage procd and then he took 20% more damage and died. so when he says to anduin says "what must I do" varian be like "don't go fury".
I think blizzard is sending a message here... I know a few morticians and they deal with body's what came out of fire's, train collisions or car accidents. It sounds cruel but they advise the family to look at the body's of their loved ones. Sometimes it can be traumatizing but in a lot of cases it helps with grief and closure. It is the same with Anduin. He needed to see what happend to his father to get some closure. I think a part of him didn't wanted to believe what really happend so he couldn't started to grief. Facing reality is hard and painfull but it also gives comfort and a reason to move on. Sorry for my bad english writing skills not my first language
Bravo to everyone who worked on this cinematic. The music, the atmosphere, and the goddamn voice acting/direction is so incredible in this one. Normally there's an excitement to them in tone, but this one is entirely focused on Anduin growing as a character and rising to this challenge. The voice actors convey so much emotion in just the way they say the name 'Anduin'. The way Velen says it at first is almost a sort of sad pride. He's sad Anduin has to see such horrors, but he's proud of him for pushing himself to understand what is at stake and what they face. The way Genn says it after Anduin loses hope is almost like a parent consoling their child after they lose someone or something horrible happened. And the look on his face when Shalamayne lights up for him. So incredible.
"The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies will he offer you." "I cannot do this father" "I can't be the hero you were" "I can't be the king you were"
Everything is true actually. "I cannot do this father." He can't (or don't want) to lead in a world in such chaos. "I can't be the Hero you were." Indeed. You will be a completely different Hero like Varian was. "I can't be the King you were. Again true. You will be a better king than Varian.
I feel like someone has to point out how amazingly breathtakingly beautiful the music for this is. At the beginning when he takes his hood off, gives me chills every time....
@@denxx56 blonde hair princes who have to one day have the responsibility of being king to their kingdom but they both went about it in different ways/
Denxx56 it’s just supposed to showcase how they look somewhat similar, as blonde handsome young princes meant to do something remarkable. They look similar but their personality is pretty different as arthas was a brash snarky hot-head and anduin as kind patient and respectful.
I love the Relationship Anduin and Genn have - one lost his Kingdom and his son and was forced to find a new home for his people the other lost his father and questions his strength and if he can protect his kingdom from falling, together they compliment each other eternally.
I think Anduin is going to be hailed as one of the best kings the Alliance has ever seen. With the council of people such as Greymane, and Velen, he is going to make a wise, and powerful ruler. I think blizzard is shaping him up to be a Paladin, as well.
My father taught me many things; strength, devotion, courage, but the most important thing he taught me was sacrifice. Without his sacrifice, the Alliance wouldn't have survived and our world wouldn't have been saved. His actions will echo throughout the ages and his roar will strike fear into our greatest adversaries.
Genn: "My boy, you don't need to see this." My character who has been around since Vanilla, watching Andiun grow up: "Yes he does. We can no longer protect him. He is the King now."
Genn is such a well developed character. He starts out relatively indifferent to other kingdoms, insecurity made manifest by trying to be his father rather than his own man, thinking that accepting help was weakness and being verbally abrasive. Yes, he was harsh on Anduin initially but once Anduin expresses that he's scared of being king, Genn realizes what needs to be done. He explains to Anduin that he only needs to be inspired by his father to always try his best. In this moment we see Genn rise above his flaws that I listed earlier. Not going to follow the Lich Queen, I'm going back to the Alliance.
Man, i'm really interested in how anduins role during wow plays out, and i also love how genn became so important - well, i like him mostly for ruining sylvanas plans over and over again, but i think he will be a very good advisor for anduin.
@@galten7361 Forgive me for answering almost a year later, but I have to agree with you! In my opinion Genn is one of the most 3 dimensional characters I've seen in the game so far. He will go and do what's right but what he is dealing with personally can also get in the way. So he sometimes says or does things that were not the best. He's willing to stand by the king but also has his own opinions and doesn't seem to be just waiting around for orders. He's got a lot of good in him but there are demons hiding as well. I've learned and become pretty invested in his story ever since Legion dropped. I've always gotta wonder what's coming next.
Keydiam as a Horde, I agree wholeheartedly. After the events at Teldrassil, I like him more than Sylvanas (and Sylvanas was a favorite of mine since WC3)

im not sure but i think the sword splits, so that should be both of them. all we need now if for him to go full rage split the sword and go 1 on 1 with the big guy in the next raid.

When that sword glows I get chills every time. Play horde until wotlk then switched to alliance until I quite playing in WoD my heart still has the alliance in it
