This patch is the exact reason I’m obsessed with my shared system and Make Noise in general. The ability to make things this complex but still musical is exactly what the appeal of modular is to me. It taps perfectly into musician brain AND nerd brain 🧠
I have watched this about 50 times the last 3 months and it has single handedly inspired me to start building a moduler system. Thank you for this amazing piece of music
“6 waiting, Premiers in 19 hours, October 31, 11:00” Please tell me those 6 people are also already wearing their Halloween costumes bc they just can’t wait.
this is FANTASTIC!!! I only wish the new René wouldn't eat so much more power than the old model. I would absolutely love to have this in my MakeNoise case, but sadly I think i will exceed its 1250mA +12v capacity then.
Hey! Is there a way to use rené’s sample and hold on itself to silence the notes bleeding through the off gate locations? I haven’t quite figured out if you can mult the gates back to xmod and x note cv back to xcv? Is there another way? Can x-reset still be used if you do this? Thanks for your help! :).
Might need more detail on what you mean by "bleeding through the off gate locations" - that will generally have more to do with VCA character and/or envelope length than with René's output. Please email technical@makenoisemusic.com with a short description or video of your patch and we'll help you out!
Video premier presents a really short window to participate in chat depending on how much lag there is with the notifications. Would it be possible to premiere videos as a block so that more people can participate? Love the new Rene BTW :)
We're feeling this new feature out and will do whatever we can to make it as enjoyable as possible! The good news is that the videos still have comments and permanent URL just like all our releases.
I am curious why the flourishes are prompted by the faster clock to the Y-Mod input at 2:30 without any Y.FUN.MOD functions selected. Is there a default modulation if no functions are selected? Thanks!
Victor Donati the reason is that FUN.CV.S&H uses both CV and MOD inputs: CV for the sampled voltage, and MOD for the sampling trigger. See the video on FUN pages for more info.
