Great video really helpful nice and easy to understand. Like you though I have never been able to find out what those white circles mean around those lower 4 patch points, strange. Keep the videos coming they are a fabulous resource.

Thanks, Popes! Those circles are quite a mystery aren't they...

@@braintree56 It is written on page 38 of the manual: "Patch points with circles around them are Gate inputs"...🙂

@@marcodifrancesco9851 Bam! I don't know how I missed that! Thanks. (I should note in case anyone reads this that there are multiple versions of the manual. In mine it's on page 46)

I can only join the chorus to praise your videos, so many useful bits and thoughts are jam-packed into these videos! (I use Arturia, Sound Studio 3 and Arp semi modulars and even setting the initial patches I have bumped into so many confusing and conflicting options by hooking them into Sq-64 and Beatstep Pro - your videos has helped me to decipher how to be all slaved to run the system clocked from Daw) Thanks for the immensely helpful and fun content!!

Thanks for doing this complete series on the Mother 32, I recently come to own one and your videos are the best guide on the internet as to how to actually work with the Mother 32. Again thanks for these super high quality videos, they've been a tremendous help to me! Hope to someday own the subharmonicon and de Dfam as well 😃!

From your own description, aren’t the circled inputs for the sequencer? Thanks for the great M-32 videos. They’ve really helped me get oriented!

I figured it out since making that video. The circles denote that they are "gate inputs". Basically it would mean that once the voltage passes a certain level they would trigger or switch on. This is as opposed to, say, the cutoff input which would accept a range. That's my understanding.

One other reason to use the VCF output would be to patch feedback based sounds. Love these videos though, just got my mother and they’ve been a great help

Hi - I have a question about the KB Out - Erica Synths produce a module that acts as a converter to make M32 work with other modular sequences. I believe it’s related to a difference in voltage (Moog do things differently), but that’s as far as my knowledge goes. So, do you have any tips on this? Have you encountered this with your own integrations? Cheers

I've only read about this. I haven't tried to sequence the Mother using a Eurorack sequencer nor have I tried to sequence my Eurorack setup using the Mothers sequencer. What I've read is that Moog v/oct goes from -5v - +5v and the Eurorack standard is 0-10v so you would need something to offset the voltage by 5v to get full range. It appears you could still get 5 octaves of range without anything though and just make up the difference by tuning an oscillator differently... But... I have yet to try it.
