@@kludd1479 I saw one who played a modded PoP with Pure Vessel at the end instead of the kingsmoulds.. And he did that with Delicate flower.. Ahdjjejsnwjkakq
delicate flower escort: i am the hardest quest in the game ; Path of pain: you sure about that?; and now combine it and then it really IS the hardest quest in the game XD and there are some crazy guys out there which did just that XD
Pale king: you see this? Hollow knight: ... Pale king: everything the light touches is *buzzsaws!* Hollow knight: dad why... Pale king: *loading gun * HIS FIRST SENTENCE!
Clerk: oh my I forgot! Every purchase you make here you get a hollowed out child to take home! Pale king: what’s the price for this entire store. Clerk: your entire credit most likely. Pale king: * pulls out wallet *no cost to great*
Same! And then about a year later I decided to do a casual run, decided I didn't want to stop playing that file after doing all the 'easy' stuff, and now I've beat this and three bosses on my do not try list. Couldn't even finish the coloseum before
@@Wi_l_a_Wh_g_ist_ne Pantheon of Hallownest but every break part is replaced with the entirety of Path of Pain with no SOUL totems. Need to accomodate for Radiant bosses too? Okay! We'll make every single fight Radiant, and same with the Path of Pains. We'll also add the Delicate Flower quest and Trial of the Fool at the end, and also force all bindings for the entire thing for good measure.
I think this is how it went Pale king: alright, how have you progressed on the palace? Architect: well, it's gone well. I feel it's missing something, here's my idea... Pale king: I think it needs more sawblades and spears. Architect: what, but... Pale king: and brambles. Get to it.
Remember, this is the royal guard's mind as much as it is the palace. Your dream needle needs a boost before you can even enter: it's bound to be heavily guarded
That part where the spears came out of the floor? I was stuck for *TWO DAYS* on that nightmare. Just that one part. I left my laptop on for entire days to make absolutely certain I didn't lose my spot.
this reminds me of old Phantasy Star Zero, with the damn post-game giant 100 floor tower that you had to complete in one run but if you left or died you started from the first floor, so the only way to do it was to leave your DS open and on a charger.
Wow i thought i had it bad... it took me a day to complete the whole path and i also almost got stuck at the god darn flippin spears? Wow... i feel bad.
this reminds me of something funny i left my laptop on for a day on the quit to main menu room when i woke up and opened hollow knight i accidentally clicked yes i had to do the entire thing all over again also i died 3 total times to the kingsmould
It took me like 1-2 hours to make it to this part, I got stuck on it for several hours and then left my PC on overnight. In the morning I continued and managed to make it through, just to die to the kingsmoulds. Felt bad. But then it took me just 15 minutes to make it back and defeat them.
Pale king: hey white lady White lady yeah? Pale king: so remember what we did in the white palace? White lady: yeah...? Pale king: well what if we did the same thing, except 5x the amount of buzz saws and stuff? White lady: *I want a divorce*
Amazing catch! Hollow knight is probably my favorite game and I've spent my life editing videos... How I didn't notice this just blew my mind when I read your comment. I want to chalk it up to me laughing at the sweet cuts and bass boosted element so much. xxx
When I was younger, I went to a highschool that was extremely elegant. That also happened to have a workshop class. The path of pain looks and sounds pretty similar to that place
Haha, yeah! Imagine...it'd be like, SO crazy if someone were to spend 8 hours getting through the whole path of pain, have full health at the end, and still die there because they got too anxious and had to spend another 2 hours going all the way back. That'd be kinda funny, like, if that were- if that were to, uh, happen to somebody. In theory.
I replayed PoP a few days ago for fun. I completely underestimated minibossfight. I had one mask for most of the fight. Never been so scared. Luckily for me, I first-tried them both times I did it so no suffering
At first, back when I knew very little about the story of the game, I thought the cutscene at the end was absolute rubbish and not worth all that time and effort. Now I know what's going on and its purpose. If I did something I wasn't supposed to, I would install thousands of buzzsaws and tedious platforming to keep people from seeing it, too.
@@dohickey7184 Essentially the cutscene is allowing players to see that it was the Pale King's fault that the Hollow Knight failed its duties. By becoming attached to it and allowing it to become attached to him, as well as instructing it, the Pale King corrupted his Pure Vessel. If the Pale King hadn't mucked it up right at the end then his plan would have succeeded the first time.
Just started playing hollow knight a little while ago, havent gotten very far What is this I'm terrified Edit: havent checked this account in a while. Forgot I wrote this lol I didnt play the game much for a while, but now I'm at the Soul Sanctum at least. Btw, I'm playing with a keyboard bc I have no controller, so I plan on beating it that way
@@sairasMN i dont even know honestly A friend linked me some videos to help me with a few things in the beginning and now theres a bunch of hollow knight in my recommended
Hollow knight is super fun! This is optional and painstakingly hard. I haven’t completed it but I’m trying lol. I hope your enjoying the game! This is pain and more pain. But the more you practice the more you will be a god at jumps lol
Path of Pain gave me a new feeling I've never felt before. It was a mix of suffering, anger, sadness but trying not to be sad at a game. Wait that already exists it's called despair
i feel you there. luckily, i streamed both of my runs (the one failure and the one success) so i can always just look back on those. ...sad part is i wish i could forget entirely about it. so i can do it for the first time, all over again.
I can imagine myself breaking the controller and then my laptop and then every window in the house and then every human being who even dared to speak to me... I WANT TO SEE THE WORLD BURN...
Can.. can we just appreciate that one part in 6:21 when they use shade soul instead of their dash? I just- that's real rough buddy.. I did that mistake too bud.. it hurt so much..
Believe it or not, you were the reason i ever even found out about Hollow Knight, this year's summer sale i finally got it, and today i made my way through this, honestly, even though you're probably the reason i'm deaf (I'm joking i can hear just fine) , thank you for making me find out about this wonderful game
Gaming journalists: see this Also gaming journalists: Is this Hollow Knight? I never made it past the False Knight he was so hard I got hardstuck in it for 2 tries and then quit the game.
Bruh, remember when that one gaming journalist couldn’t make it past the tutorial of Cuphead? They’d be pissing themselves if they saw even a snibbit of Hollow Knight-
@@GraveFogLight In all fairness: The actual journalist in question was sent to a gaming convention as a replacement for another employee who was the usual guy for those sorts of events. The guy that was replaced knew a lot about platformers and was relatively experienced. The second guy, by his own admission, didn't like platformers and hadn't really played that many of them. The footage we see in that vid is raw footage during a convention, if my memory serves correctly, so the guy genuinely didn't know what he was getting into. He was a complete rookie. Also, he was apparently the type of journalist that made articles about concepts and topics related to gaming, not the guy that would actually write reviews or who would test gameplay. In short, he was completely out of his element, a last-minute replacement of the usual journalist that would have tested Cuphead, and not really a "gameplay" kind of journalist to begin with. Still, it didn't do him any favors. Here's hoping the guy wasn't fired for what was essentially a stupid decision by the management. After all, he got the blame by a triggerhappy internet culture that likes to think all gaming journalists are awful to begin with.
Fun fact: Hive Blood is a legitimately useful charm in platforming (if you can call this hell platforming) sections so you do not have to restart from the beginning after you deplete your lives. You can even pair it with something like Grubsong so you don’t have to wait so long between attempts.
I did 2 tries. First one took me 6+ hours, 3 of those were spent on the last section alone. Died to the kingsmolds. Second try was the next day, took me 2 hours for the whole thing.
Took me 10 hours but only because I died, killed Grimm for another notch, came back, got to the last room, then my PC crashed, took a short break, and did it again
