I need to tell you something I saw on officials just the other day. So, I was on my rhamp, just messing around. Saw this mega pack that consisted of TEN people. They were just running around GP/IC and slaughtering everything they saw. Then, they just started sitting around in IC because they had run out of things to do, since they had killed everyone, including babies. They started complaining in Global that the game was boring, asking where everyone was. And like.. there were 80 people on the server and the mega pack was 10. Meaning they alone were something like 12% of the server. I know that there aren't any rules on official and it's honestly whatever, but they were ruining the game for everyone INCLUDING themselves. For the rest of the time the server was up, they just sat there in IC, complaining that they were bored while everyone avoided that entire half of the map. Fun times.
yup they do i have said this on my friends channel we go fight them and when i have said exactly what you did we get these guys just say its a pvp game what do you expect....... they don't seem to understand the way there playing is toxic

When I get harassed by mega packs like that I like to switch to something small like the dryo/compy and just antagonize them til they start trying to attack me and kill each other missing their attacks. :v
I'm sure they were the type of players who are terrified to be killed. They had an apex, a sucho to keep you bleeding, a pycno to sucker punch charge you and a speedy metri to further keep your combat timer on. Luckily they were not skilled enough to avoid Stego tail.
Sucho didn’t have the bleed claws, but claw barrage is still stupidly overtuned either way. It’s crazy how many people they needed for one stego when sucho can solo stego easy in a 1v1
Stego is as we all know can be pretty cheesable with it's slow attack animations, usually those who have played for a good while can take down a stego consistently.(good allos mess me up constantly) With groups like that, the plan is usually to stall the stego and make it burn all stamina for an apex to get in there and kill it, and that way they never really learn how to beat a stego.
You just can't play solo on officials, if something sees you it will shadow you until it's friends arrive. Or if you win a 1v1, they will spawn as something else and call their group and jump you. I would say it is just carnivore players but it's the herbivores too. They just don't stop.
I agree. Although it's not based on carnivore or Herb. It's the actual player that plays like that. They will switch between carni and herb just to kill someone or something
My first experience with other players on my juvie Deinonychus was when a massive rex, a Pycno and three Latens targeted me. I fled, was chased and hunted across two zones, swam across a river into another, and was slaughtered when my stam ran out again, but I couldn’t hide this time. They didn’t eat the body and told chat a minute later that the Deino is a sht choice and we should never choose it. People are absolutely bizarre. Even when you are small and manage to evade a group of large, bored dinos, they type ‘kys’ because they didn’t get the satisfaction.
I really hope they introduce a.i dinos into the game soon. It would give the game so much more life and even in unpopular spots of the map there would be interactions. Maybe have a raid boss type of predator that frequents crater like alpha rex that will keep mega mix packs from ruining the game. So many fun things they could do with a.i
I completely understand you right now I only see groups and groups and groups and the majority already hate me and focus, it's getting more and more difficult to play calmly or fight without 6 players coming to you great video and I'm glad you survived
Glad ya enjoyed mate :) Yea it feels like it's either pve or die at times, though from trying different regions, i find this problem is the worst on EU servers, in the levels of crap you see in the chat and the very thing you explained.

This is also why I don’t play officials often, even when my friends are all online. It’s either you walk in a dead zone for hours or you get attacked by mega pack. Officials would be a lot more enjoyable if people played it like a semi-realism survival rather than an MMO. I also think it’d be a lot better if the PoT community were more positive, and gave more attention to wholesome moments/fun fights, rather than glorifying toxicity like a CoD lobby. Aside from officials, let’s talk stats. Stego should have increased trot speed so it’s at least the same trotting speed as an apex. Stego’s thagomizers should apply medium recoil bleed too (if kentro can have it, why can’t stego?). - Pycno should have a trot speed nerf (I see way too many pycno scouts, similar to the one in this video). - Metri and Lamb should only have the ability to heal 3 slot dinos and below. These are simply my opinions and I know that not everyone will agree.
I agree completely with u, it’s really frustrating of people having to mix pack and harass others like that, I honestly wish they enforce stricter rules for these sort of things
Unfortunately I have learnt the hard way that this is NOT a survival game, it is just a MMO battle royal. The Devs deliberately make dinos specifically for mixpackers and even a tiny flying rat has combat capability.
I agree with the stego trot buff, but not with the pycno trot nerf since pycno is essentially mobility and charge with nothing else going for it. Metri speed should be nerfed to match lamb in speed. That way, you have to actively defend your healer rather than having a healer who is fast enough to potentially outrun a pycno while having the strength of a 3 cost.
For me, it’s not really the mix packing that is much of a bother. It’s the immense SIZE of mix packs and general toxicity of players. The revenge killing, name calling, and social harassment is absolutely insane on games that have PvP. Path of Titans, CoD, and any MOBA game are prime examples of this. The gaming community has a tendency to be severely toxic and immature. PoT could be one of the few PvP games that breaks away from this hateful community, but the devs choose to keep global chat and no rules instead :/
I don’t think metri should have the same speed as lamb because metri has less hp and cw than lamb. It needs the speed to get away from danger if/when solo. Pycno should have a trot speed reduction bc it literally out trots a majority of the roster. It shouldn’t be able to be used as a scout bc it does too much damage and can just run away from anything that isn’t a small tier.
This was fantastic defensive gameplay on your part. You did a great job at managing your health and stamina, and trading hits. I know for a fact that group was getting frustrated, wiping their sweaty palms on their shirts and chattering to eachother on their headsets. Glad it ended well. 👍👏
Unless you're in a group, anything too slow to outspeed a megagroup is outright unplayable on officials, so basically half the roster. You'll get run down and buried under numbers no matter how well you play.
Hey man I know you don't play official a lot but few things both Ironman and debee are both part of a huge toxic crew best suggestion is to safe log and find another server also if you need someone to group up with I'm more than willing to team up I have some people I play with daily and we are really chill
Maybe I’m just a different breed, but I love the way official plays. I’ve managed every Dino to adult, mostly solo. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum. I’ve been jumped; and I’ve done the jumping. Fought things 1v3, and fought things 3v1. Since I have everything adult, and there is no endgame, I strictly trophy hunt. Often solo or sometimes with a friend or two. A lot of people hate this and I can’t come to terms why. I’m having fun and that’s what matters most to me. I’ve dabbled in community servers a little bit. I felt no thrill hunting there. Maybe I just haven’t tried the right ones. I even jumped Hunya once on his Lambeo. Sorry bro, you’re still my fave.
I've been try different regions today, been playing eu for better ping lately and from today's play, i find it is more forgiving in NA servers I remember that Kentros got me super close to death, thank god i could cross the river 😂

I haven't played path in a hot minute because of how toxic official is, i really should try playing on community servers more but the amount of rules makes me feel overwhelmed/anxious, I'm also just someone who gets salty over dying but that's a personal skill issue, wish I knew how to make that go away skhhfk I love this game man I made so many friends on it, but god can I not stand official at all, I'm constantly on edge whenever I play sjfskjd
Funny, I was growing a spino yesterday on Burnt Forest. As I was drinking, I was jumped by a carni and 2 adult Styras, AS A ADOLESCENT SPINO. I did make one of the Styra's gravely wounded so at least I died fighting. But the cool thing is, I found a friendly player who just so happens to main Spino. I found a dad, and it made growing such a breeze
Sameeee Officials is just filled with mix packers and groups you will never have a fun encounter unless you have three to four other people with you. Playing solo is the most taboo thing to do on officials. They’re no server rules to keep people in check or no consequences. Good things there’s community servers but there’s something about officials and grinding there and what not that makes it feel authentic. Most community servers are buffed and there’s no work that needs to be done. I like the “grinding” a bit but then the mix packing you encounter at the end on a daily is also just demoralizing
This is why i mained struthi on official servers 😅 I could getaway from 5 to 7 people chasing me 😆. But most of them always ignored me, in that case i just 1 call nonstop nearby to annoy them, and sometimes i even kick them in their butt, and the chase begin 😂😂😂 Drain their stams while kicking their butt is the best experience playing PoT in official servers as struthi 😅😆😂
I have exactly one creature on officials. A juvenile Rhamphorynchus. You will never catch me dead to rights in an official server as if the servers themselves or the players on them will ever respect your time and skill.
Seeing this gives me flashbacks when a friend and I (Iggy and Amarg) got jumped by a group of 4 Rexes, 2 Megs, and 1 Achillo. My friend sadly died but I managed to escape into an homecave with their trophy so I see it as a victory 😂 You managed really well against the group, they weren't really smart about how to use their dinosaurs, especially that pycno just charging into your tail.
honestly it kinda feels like this happens on any server that doesnt have rules anymore usually a group of semi aquatics like sarcos that have a few apexs to help them at least thats usually what happens to me
Yep, this was one of the smaller slices indeed I used to play officials only then map traffic died, group vs group wars were great, playing solo though it pretty much forces you to avoid playing anything slow just to avoid the overwatch teams (Which hurts because stego is my favourite) 😂
@@SawyerFools you learn how to fight against a group, mixpackers and against a stronger opponent. It trained ur skillz but frustrating factor is way higher than servers with ruels like body down rules etc. . And my personal problem with community servers are i cant remember the rules and i want to think in a fight if im correct or not. Want to fight i want. Negatives at officials......their far away from fair play
Something similar happened to me on panjura yesterday,there was this like 10-12 ppl on trikes,lambs and anodontos on grasslands cratee right? And they were like killing everything that was on sight,telling the others to join the discord,etc and i was deinony so i was too small for them to kill me I asked them why they were doing it and their answer was:Were bored and we are a clan Basically ppl make this like toxic groups out of boredome so my hope is that once ppl get deathmatch mode this kind of ppl go there and smack each other instead of doing this bs of "i have more players i win"😂 but regardless amazing fights fr you played well

This situation has happend to me waaaay too often... but the funny and ironic part is these people when you wanna fight them in 1v1 they either avoid you or go cry to their teamates because they NEED groups to be able to win :/ althou gg you did super well tbh !!!
I would honestly prefer if waystones were removed/even more limited on officials. Maybe make it so there are 3 on land and 3 in the ocean. With the new disease function now in PoT, the devs should make it so species that aren’t closely related to one another are more likely spread disease to each other, which would severely drain water, food, and potentially small amounts of hp.
I remember talking about making waystones a more expensive thing to start like starting at 300 cost refresh instead of 150 just to make it more incovienient for the groups to just sit in one spot endlessly bring their friends back to where they die, needless to say people did not take that well 😂
Not just this, but also the game is just so punishing to rando players that are solo and are trying to get to home caves to change there abilities, or at way stones to get there friends. as I can not tell you the amount of times a huge pack of players were just sitting right outside the zone to get debuffed for camping, and just waiting for a poor solo to show up, and for the group to just send a little speeder in to hit you and prevent you from being able to get in. ( as if you are in combat the game prevents you from entering/ escaping into home cave ) then the rest of the group will just come rushing up to pin you in and kill you ( BTW it's mostly herbis that do this so they don't even need your meat ). I have stopped playing path official servers once they started to get a larger player base, and became more toxic. Now I just stick to the community servers ( they are much more fun anyways ) I can't even tell you how many times I have seen other player tell each other to * un alive yourself * or that they would * un consensualy touch some one * get muted for a day, then come back the next day doing the same thing. But if you say * gay * in the chat you would get perma muted for being * homeopathic * lol
These are the same people who be saying that official is better than community servers bc "No rUleS". Chill out there buddy, you need a sucho/ spino and 3 mid tiers to kill a solo amarga or iggy.
life as a solo on official is a tough one you done very well though good job! we have a channel only play on officials kind of high lights this but we fight the toxic players so we would of defo helped you
The rules aren't too hard to remember, I play in one that has simple rules and easier to follow, and is way better than the stress from the official server, I'm glad I found my perfect community server. You guys should do the same. for sure, nobody will play on officials someday. hugs from Brazil!
So, I've personally never encountered this feeling because whilst I used to play a bunch of Officials, it was before growth was added to the game. After Growth was added, I played for a bit but didn't have the time or energy to grow a creature. I usually only play Community servers, most likely DM or Realism servers so, I've never encountered entire clans of people trying to chase me down and kill me. It does seem very annoying though.
The fact of it happening is not my issue, its that its the only encounter i experience, i cannot remember the last time i actually came across a duo/3man group actually travelling and hunting
I know people don’t like the rules of semi-realism servers, but they do really give a more fair experience, at lest for me so far. Usually I don’t get ganked by big groups, but I still die at lest once every session in 1v1s, and I can only blame myself really for how I played, and that’s okay. 90% of the time it’s usually a fair fight for me, so I’ve just left officials behind, unless I play with friends who want to do whatever they feel like.
I've been in mega packs before (not on official tho) mostly with my friends and randoms that joined and my policy is that I won't join in fights unless I was attacked (and even then I usually don't cuz by then everyone's already on their tail). I like mega packs cuz I like sitting around, chatting with people but I hate when everyone gangs up against one or two people.
That's why I kinda like officials, surviving that encounter feels like a win! Also the grinding to get good skins feels really good when you finally unlock one after the absolute pounding you got trying to get the marks lol

I understand where youre coming from, but when thats the only encounters you get, it gets pretty damn frustrating imo. I still feel i got lucky more than i did anything smart other than run to the cave in this video xD

The thing that really makes me upset with officials is that the more people you play with, the more those mixpackers will increase their numbers. Oh you have 3 people? Here's 10 of us. Oh you wanna go into water? Here's 4 of us on spinos 2 of us on ducks and 4 of us in sarcos. What is also annoying is how lucky these guys get with spawning. I can kill a alio, then not even 1 minute later he's back on me Also majority of mixpackers like this are new to the game which makes it funnier because you expect to die until the forget you can't facetank
Yeah as a solo, I'm always playing in official servers and to other fellow solo Dinos here's my advice, trust no one and before you decide to accept someone into your group consider the worst-case scenario that's why I only accept babies or weaker dinosaurs. Always assume the ABSOLUTE worst and no one can hurt you. It's sad to say but when fighting I always assume they have friends on the way so you gotta be very conservative, especially with Stam. After EVERY fight hide and heal cause chances are even alone they will pull out their hatz especially if low (Recorded a few instances). You see a big group abnormally close ... Sprint in the other direction and pray to God they're as slow as their gameplay. One last tip just because you weaken one or multiple of their teammates or EVEN KILL THEM don't relax yet they could switch to anything and sad to say they probably placed them ahead of time to ambush you. I've been meaning to make a guide video especially for solo's using these tips, just need to stop nitpicking everything in the edit and just post my first video already lol. You love to see other solos' absolutly dunk on mega/mixpacker groups ... Love the video!
Official servers should include passive growth and same species shouldnt hurt each other wven though u want. This way atleast same species can herd together and not end up kosing!!!! Because if you dont have a frnd in this game or want to play solo, progressing with slow/big/apex dinos is just impossible. I guess these two changes can fix the issue. Lot of mix packing goes on, and what feels more bad when u get attacked by the same species. If that particular species performed canabilism then allow only to that species.
I get that going to crater, GV and Plains is the place if you want RU-vid content. But this is where all the big groups hang out too. If I find that there's a huge crowd in crater, I hop to another server. I'm waiting for the day when we have more than 80 or 90 total players on a single server.
I totally get that. It’s not fun at all it’s stressful. This is why I don’t like that they nerfed the maneuvering with Lone Hunter because if there’s 6 people chasing you, you can’t aim everywhere. The extra maneuverability was necessary in my opinion. I think it was a bad nerf on that skill. Glad you made it to HC! 😌
There are quite a few things that got nerfed for stego because the ability/passive was too powerful on other playables Examples: 25% armor nerfed to 15% because pachy was silly with it at the time. Traction nerf because things like kentro and spino were turning faster while walking than a stego pivot. Universalizing all the abilities/passives really took it's toll on stego.
im the oppsosit i love official because you never know what to expect i do wish people roleplayed more an actually tried to act like dinos somewhat but it is what it is eventually the server gets fed up an wipes em out
New player here: there is a report player option after being killed. Is admin not good at investigating players? I’d think after three to five reports, their account would be banned from official servers? Also I don’t get why these murderhobo players don’t just join hardcore pvp servers?
Perhaps pick an area as a carnivore, and just stay there and see what happens. For example: you choose Dasp, and claim Triad Falls as your territory. No guarantees on seeing players, but could be fun:)
My self and my group do that in hunter's thicket. And maybe we'll have half hour of decent game play. And then everybody moves off someplace else. So we have to go find more action and that's usually going to Crater In crater gets boring after a while. They need to make more incentive on the location quest where they're well worth traveling
What servers do you play on? I don't like how alot of servers just give you infinite marks or have super fast passive growth... Can't say I've looked too hard i only have like 10 hours on the game.
and this is why i dont play on officashals, though i have a stream challange to grow a dino on one, it feels like people make groups and basicly make it there solo purpose to ruin solo players fun.
Luckily he was a Stego and metri heal won’t work if they have bleed stacks. Think that’s why they slowed down a few times to get rid of bleed so that they could heal.
Yea the only reason i turned to attack when i did was to force the heals out of them incase the sucho caught up, areas with lots of obstacles and not much space work wonders for dealing with smaller dinos
Its alot better than before with the teleporting pachys and such, still has it's moments though, we are waiting for the engine upgrade, it's playable though :)

And I played every time on officials, I have all carnis to adults and it was hard to grow them, every time someone killed me I decided to not give up. And I know how suspicious People look like, and I attack first.
Yea i have everything grown to, i always usually like to let others attack first but lately i have switched to attcking first if anything sticks around me for long enough
If you play solo at "daytime" and chose a slow dino, you are basicly dead meat. After 9 pm the players are more relaxed, and you can have a nice time. That's at least my experience. And never run in panjura, if you don't have to, or your live is over 80% of the Time.
I really dont get why people play in official servers where game is at its worst... there's no passive growth, quests give so little, and when die is like lose 10 quests or more... if at least were straight rules... but there are no rules and players can mixpack and attack many against one... what is the purpose to play so?..
There was alot more there than what chased me i can assure you xD I think you also know the tactic they wanted to use for that, stall the target till the spino catches up for an easy kill, not fun when it's the only thing i come across

My only concern is that, isn't the game meant to be played like that? Isn't pack hunting a built in mechanic? As long as it is this is how it's gonna be
there's meant to be limitations to groups so they don't get THAT big or are stacked with powerful dinos, but the limitations don't really work + mixpacking outside the ingame group system. so while yes, the game is meant to be played in groups, the way it's payed now is very much NOT intended.
Generally no you wouldn't find dinos team building like they're a pro mmo/moba sport team covering every aspect possible. Yea it's able to be done in the game and no there's no rules stopping it but it is early access still. Once the game is fully released and how it should be I'm sure(hoping) there will be some type of system to keep this white knuckled sweat dripping meta monkey team building over a dinosaur game from happening. But for now yea this is how the game is unfortunately.
@@xbeast1997x BoB's comfort system is the only thing I've seen in a dino game that actually works to keep players from mixpacking. If PoT could implement something like that, officials would lose a decent amount of toxicity overnight.

Yea i can agree that i was very vague with the title. The action of being pack hunted wasnt what i had issue with, its that its usually always the same thing of "stall the target till apex catches to kill" which leaves no options other than run. I guess the shortest way for me to put it is, its either overkill or nothing. Ofcourse theres no rules but that doesn't change that it isnt fun for me personally. I still think my surviving here was luck instead of skill xD
Ironman actually sucks when it comes to combat. All he does is to hide behind his friends. If his friends kill you then he comes out and say toxic things in the chat lol.
Im new to pot and this is normal for me on official as a herb. What happened here wasnt a big deal because its part of the game. U survived the attack so u won and they suck. Pot would be boring if everyone was getting along. Without toxic players, we woupdnt have things to do. Alot of times the herbs and some carnis will group together to kill the bullies in ic or gp. Thats exciting but its not for everyone i guess. Glad u got away ♡
This is why alderon made the group slots... to limit the amount of people in one group.. but its really pointless, with people like this... I play officials only and I learned to manage and enjoy wiping them dumazzes out 😅
Im not sure this is bad.Its a problem when players didnt know what is the respect...trust me, there is some groups who left you in this situation...but like in real life, is there more "bad" ppl then "good".
Ah yes, green valley, basically crater 2. Big discord groups hanging around. At least it's a very good trophy stealing place.. And speaking of trophies, I know how these people want easy trophies real bad, and stego plates are very valorized, since only stegs drop them, so that's a reason they chased you like zombies
