I'm assuming that's just with 3 30 feet strides per turn instead of 3 70 feet strides and 1 60 foot stride per turn from being a level 20 monk or swashbuckler using awakened stride? Edit: used a calculator to do the math. The level 20 monk penguin using awakened stride and a normal stride each turn can travel a mile in just under two minutes, as they would move 270 feet every turn, which is 6 seconds, * 10 for a minute, which is of course 2700 feet. The non monk penguin normal striding would take just under 6, since they'd be moving 90 per turn, 10 turns per minute (900 feet). In fact, the monk penguin would be exactly 3 times as fast. But if you mean non monk penguins using awakened stride, yes, it'd take just under 4 minutes.

@@AlexPBenton Puss in Boots is not catfolk, not even close. Catfolk are cat-like humanoids, the same size and roughly the same anatomy as humans but with cat features. Puss in Boots is an ordinary cat (or fairy who looks like an ordinary cat) who can walk on two legs and speak (Italian in the original version, French in the most popular version, and then the Shrek version made him Spanish). Awakened Animal gives us exactly the tools needed to create a faithful Puss in Boots.

I would find an animal that is very similar to the one you are making and you the info from them. It feels like they left it open to interpretation so people can make it more real for them.
