I will dive into this later, as I'm still completing the game - and, whereas my wife played a bit for a while and the clunkiness sent her away... I have nearly 500 hours on Steam, and I've yet to complete the Act III stuff with full DLC. It is immense, and I've restarted a few times, and now accept a lower level than 'Core' (it hurt my pride, with having played most of this style of game with AT LEAST 'by the book'). The plot is great, and I think it is completely overshadowed by the build mechanics - and I'm a veteran 1e AD&D player. I'm sure I will comment more once I've watched the whole video, but for now it is bookmarked and you have a new subscription.
Yeah, the core ruleset is incredibly weird. I appreciate the comment! I think I spent far too long on this video being haphazardly organized; but the first half is just explaining the clunkiness -- but the plot is so good.
I played Lich so in my playthought i had to romance and later sacrifice someone to complete the ritual. It was probably the most fucked up path outside of Swarm I really loved the segments with Urgathoa and Pharasma's Champion, it's as close as you get to see two Gods fighting in this game. Also i thought was really cool to see two "Necromance" faction and how each one deal with the Undead. It made so much sense that , yeah Vampire would align themselves with a Soon to be Lich
Yeah, I do think that a lot of small parts of each faction are really cool! Its just that I don't think that outside of the three, it really changed the story much outside of your individual story. Which faction was the vampire one that aligns with the lich?
Good review! One thing I will add if you didn't know - there's a great mod called Bubble Buffs that makes the entire process of buffing take a single click and is a HUGE timesaver. In fact, my biggest criticism of Owlcat is them not having implemented this as a base game feature, since this was one of the most popular mods for Kingmaker as well. My second biggest criticism of course is the whole Nenio dungeon. One thing to work on for next time - the music is mixed a bit too loudly for how quiet your mic is and you were a bit hard to hear sometimes. All in all a great first video - it's not easy going for two hours.
Yeah! I used ToyBox for my autobuffing, but I knew there was alot of others. Toybox is my favourite since I think its 'all dialogue at once' was kind of pointless. And I do appreciate it! Yeah, Ill ahve to figure out my sound tuning and music strength. I appreciate the comment, hope to see you more!
