Pathfinder Psychic Class Analysis

One of the best class feats for psychics is to earn money by setting up a phone hotline.

So, I came back to this video 2 years later just to say that the Psychic is now the single most powerful class in Pathfinder, well above tier 1 classes, due to the Psy-tech discoveries. However, for this to be true requires a level 20 character. So at every level below that they are tier 2.

I never really got into the Occult classes, I greatly preferred Psionics. The Psychic seems to have elements of the Psion and Wilder. I should probably take another look at the occult classes; I might find something I really like.

Played recently a chaotic evil Magaambyan Telepath with enchant and transmutation focus, Psycodelia. The best part was to split hot tar, then force npc to lay down in it. The aura of madness added a extra evil flavour to the character.

actually you don't even need to have armor proeficiency, you dont have somatic components and all your skills are mind based and others are often are covered by your spells, and those spells, as well as most of your spells in general rarely need an attack roll. you can have a whole campaign without amor check penalty ever being relevant. So go ahead and cast in full plate. That being said, you really should invest in protection against fear as it prevent you to use spells with an emotion component. Maybe buying your friend some pearls of power ?

I really do NOT like that they use Magic as their base rules. They need to be another ruleset entirely.

🤔 This really caught my attention but I am seriously turned off by how this relates to video games and spells. Makes something that is natural into something like witch craft. But it makes some good points. What I mean: Something like remote viewing or telekenisis has nothing to do with spells and magic. Something like Rosecrutianism isn't the same as Yiddish Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism, was around before the Jewish) mastery. Some people think the Necronomicon isn't real. What you pick up at Barnes and Nobles isn't what I am referring to. Sounds like I am one upping you... Nope. Just was expecting something else. But it doesn't change the fact that psycho mantis is a psychic vampire. Kind of reminds me of Fable 3... You learn all these things with time. And the tree effect. Pathfinder got distracted by classes with lots of silly abilities with a 'x times a day' and a tenuous link to other classes (usually barbarian). The psychic is classic bullshit in this style. Note how many times the statement 'Like a... (x class)' is during the video.
