Pathfinder: WotR - Beginner's Guide To Prestige Classes 

Yeah I agree with this, I really don't understand how level dipping and multiclassing works in any of the dnd games, I end up just following a build

Step 1: take 3 levels of Mutagen Warrior. Step 2: profit.

Would love a video about multiclassing! With a couple of examples ;)

​@@TheBlastmeister take 1scaled fist/1oracle/1 viv and punch the shit out of everything hard af. these 3 levels can carry you through the early game so easily, even on UNFAIR. And...Charisma is one of the most abundant stats in the game so you still have a bajillion options to class into. Add 2 levels of paladin and you also get bomb diggity saves for the rest of the game as well, which is super necessary for unfair as well. then, at level 5...you can start casting, maybe sorc, but then you can dip 4 into DD for more str and ac and spell casting levels. then ur level 11 and can pick 10 levels of a prestige class like loremaster and do whatever you want from here, while still leveling caster, but getting feats that assist in combat like greater vitals or maneuvers or potent spell casting. with a dragon heritage you can also use a mythic level to get the last level of your heritage so you can pick like gold for example and be immune to fire. or maybe you only take loremaster for a few levels to level oracle until you can take MT after that. So you're a 1/scaled fist 1/oracle 1/vivi 1/sorc 2/pala 4/dd 4/Loremaster 6/Mystic Theurge you have a ton of str, high ac, high charisma for story stuffs great bufffs and tons of spell slots and spells from both divine and arcane. and you're not really losing a lot of BAB either, tho if BAB since DD/MT/SF/PALA all have full bab, you're only dropping BAB from your 3 levels in oracle/vivi/sorc but you gain a TON from those 3 levels so... hella worth imo. Now...thats multiclassing. ;)

Lets see if it actually works. I know that Elemental Bloodline Cold and Oracle Freezing Spell does not work with Burning Hands (It does work with Burning Hands (Cold) tho... but that thing cant even be taken with spell specialization...)

@@notalefty999 Icy Prison Mass is real good, but thats about it and a subsection of enemies are immune to it(undead) I was trying a winter witch build during my Treasure of the Midnight isles run and that character was almost worthless except for the hexes. Towards 17-20 icy prison mass(which I got through Loremaster, because why would you give the one decent spell of a type to the one prestige class that specializes in said spell type) can clean out a room with a cast, but at that point who cares

@@notalefty999 well if you can change element type it won't matter.

@@notalefty999 but then you wouldn't be playing winter witch would you. Ofcourse it wouldn't be as good as fire. But then again why pick fire when you can go lightning. You get the benefits of both and you only need a bracer for that one so you can pick other stuff.

The double dragon bloodline cross blooded sorcerer dip probably benefits from this a ton

I remember playing nwn2, my first introduction to DnD related game. I also thought prestige were advanced OP classes. DnD is so backward

yeah, I wish there were prestiges that felt like a natrual progression into, from 10 levels of a regular class, so it felt more natural to go from like 10 spell caster levels, into a presitge that didn't advance spell casting but used spell like effects or made your previous spells stronger. or like a Melee class where you need 10 ranks of mobility and athletics to get into and you get extra/special feats that help with maneuvering around combat etc.

I am honestly confused why they didn't so this, considering they ignored everything from the actual Mythic rules set except like 3 abilities.

And go Crossblooded Sorcerer (Dragonic/Orc) to get +2 damage/die to every cold spell.

I like it! I did a classic orc with a twohanded weapon, riding a smilodon charging the hell out of enemies, took the hellknight for the fun and went aeon/devil. Oh it was fun :D

That's only the racial archetypes really, flavorful, but most of them are awful

If you're not a min-max player on higher difficulties. That will attain and stack buffs and equipment to get the most out of being unarmoured. Specifically for a first play through where you're going in blind. Then taking an armored spellcaster is totally fine. Since it significantly decreases how much stuff you need to keep track of and attain. I really feel that games such as this need to have the looming threat of enemy casters using dispel effects in periodic fights. Specifically to keep the metagaming unarmoured buff stacking in check. Because having the risk of your stacked spells removed (either several or even all of them) during a fight. Would significantly raise the value on armoured spellcasters indirectly.

pretty sure it's limited to sharing up to 6th level casting. If you're doing legend, just cap both individual classes instead of taking MT. On the flip side... Sorcerer Cleric MT, spontaneous casting of all cleric spells for the win.

@@gwouru You may be limited to sharing spell levels, but you progress casting in both simultaneously. If you like the class features of your arcane and/or divine casting class, go ahead and level it, but if you want the spellcasting most of all, you can save 10 levels and progress both of them at once.

Playing my first playthrough as a gnome pyromancer MT angel > legend path. Going for oracle (flame) 20/10 crossblooded red dragon bloodline/fire elemental/10 MT. I originally thought lich>legend but i wanted the oracle's final revelation that makes all fire spells empowered automatically. 🔥

@@Zivilin why would you mix red dragon with fire elemental, when they both provide the same perks of fire immunity, why not mix your immunities to be immune to more things?

I was thinking of assassin for its death attack and hips feat.

It's literally easier to just go Trickster and get Persuasion to rank 3. Why death attack your enemies when you can have them do it for you? Lol

TBH divine spellcasters get alot of love elsewhere in the proression, azata line, angel and even demon. while arcane build only really want to go lich tbh

Hellknights get unique interactions. My Hellknight who worships the Godclaw gets cool interactions based on my class and religion.

You can, still the same issues that apply to normal MT though as you said

It's been awhile, so I could be wrong, but you need minimum 3rd level casting in both, but then, yes, you can do all 10 in MT to get spell progression in both, and then finish off the 20 levels with only one class, to get max level spells for one class. The downside is, you only get at most 6th level (out of 9) spells via MT, so you're not going to get resurrect and phantasmal killer via MT, castable by both.

Isn't there a mythic feat or something that allows you to transform your other elemental spells into cold spells? I swear i saw an option like that at some point.

@@Zivilin possibly though I'm not sure I have to admit I haven't paid much attention to mythic abilities. I keep forgetting I have them.

If youre trying to make a blaster caster Arcane Trickster can be fun

To clarify, I was thinking Human for race and for classes Defender-5, Sword Saint-8, Sword lord-3, Duelist-4. But I'm open to ideas. Edit: I'm playing on core difficulty.

Why off tank when you can become full tank with ss, just dip 1 in monk scaled fist 1 level sorc for mytic ascend element and archmage armor take 14lv on ss for dimension strike

I've heard that you can get pretty close to that with the Angel and Lich Mythic Paths from merging spellbooks.

A very fun alternative to the atypical sorc/cleric theurge build. Is to go bard/inquisitor. You won't get the same high level spells. But, you'll gain the unique aspects of both classes along with combat and skill proficiency when going legend. Taking the inquisitor subclass that grants monster summons teamwork feats while also buffing them with bardic songs. Is honestly hilarious.

You have to multiclass with a class that can do each

@@MortismalGaming Doesn't work with TWO spontaneous caster classes, one has to have slots. So Sorcerer/cleric works, Sorcerer/Inquisitor doesn't. At least.... last I played.

In Kingmaker, it was even spicier to get a couple of Thug levels in the mix, to go for mass intimidation. And, more Fighter levels yielded more juicy feats. Picking Divine Guardian even allowed my PC to protect his main tank romance option, Valerie:: well, lady is first.^^

No, I wouldnt use any class that isn't a full caster

I wasn't aware any of the pathfinder games were on console.

The main feature i saw in assassin was its hips feat at level 8. Being able to cheese encounters and go in and out of sneak mode at will is very powerful

@@Zivilin While Hide in Plain Sight is helpful for sure, Shadowdancer PrC is much more known for having that feature (getting it at level 1). HiPS is really great for setting up death attacks in the tabletop since you can hide during combat.

Pathfinder 1e expanded the base classes a ton coming from dnd 3.5 which made a lot of the prestige classes less interesting and/or useful

you pick the skills, feats, and classes required by the prestige class, then when you qualify, you pick them on level up, instead of your base class of barbarian.

A character thats good at martial combat and spellcasting
