Question regarding the Kwik-Clean....is CJ's the better choice if cleaning using the water and Dawn dish liquid method? GREAT video! I learned quite a few things I didn't know before watching.
I haven't used CJ's but when using water we use Neutra Clean, as it doesn't leave deposits behind when added to water. www.glasscrafters.com/neutraclean-flux-cleaner.html
George, you need to get a mike for the presenters. It is hard to hear them. When I gave a talk on copper foil I received the same feedback. I have my speakers on full volume and it is hard to hear. I think it is the distance the presenter is from the mike on your phone. I don't think it is an expensive purchase. It would kick your presentations up a notch.
I have a question, if you patina all the solder with black patina first, then use the copper patina on the zinc, will the solder that is already patinaed black remain black? I do have some trouble with zinc consistently turning black with novacan black, even after multiple applications and using very fine steel wool to clean the zinc. So would the zinc be more consistently black using the copper patina?
