The second to final scene in the first Patlabor film. This is still my favorite scene from the movie next to the Ingram vs Type Zero fight. I've uploaded this in 1080p with the highest source bitrate, enjoy!.
My favorite part here is when Noa is told not to leave the room she looks at the door, does the job, then immediately runs out to save Alphonse. Noa is the hero of the series not because she's the best pilot, or the best cop, or the best anything, it's because she refuses to treat her Labor as just a machine. Literally, it's the running gag of the series that she's overprotective and weirdly obsessed with it. Noa is best girl.
Had she just left Alphonse behind, the group would've stand no chance against the Type 0, they all would've perish right there and then. In a sense, she saved Alphonse and Alphonse saved all of them
@MauZangetsu though only Kanuka would have died, everyone else could just hide. But the Zero would have likely fallen off the platform into the sea. With the eject broken, she would have drowned with the Zero.
I love this particular scenes! This AV-0x probably the most brutal labor in both strenght & speed in this franchise. Its speed & strenght surpass of that J-9 Griffon's. The only labor, Noa couldn't defeat it, despeti its AI's controlled only. But Shinohara vastly downgraded it into its economy version, Av0 Peacemaker, another good looking & decent labor. But the pilot.. not soo much.
