The Wings need to prove they can function if Larkin goes down again, losing 7 in a row without him is unacceptable. I get they don’t have great center depth, but a team that reliant on one player is not going far in the playoffs (assuming they even make them this year)
I think people really underestimate this team if Kane, Raymond Larkin and Alex, Debrincat can score 30+ goals and Rasmussen can get to that 20-25 goals this year we could be at that 98 point total and depending on first round makeup take at least 2-3 games so don't sleep on the wings we have gotten better every year this year we missed by 1 point we will be better and make the playoffs
Goals are great but how’s the defense and goaltending? They don’t even sniff the top 4 in the division in that department The red wings roster is still very mid
Wings fell apart pretty much completely when Larkin went down, earlier in the season and most certainly towards the end. Once that center prospect depth hits ie Danielson, Kasper and Edvinsson logging important minutes on D, Watch out. They are in this year, can’t forget about Tarasenko as well.
@@tmoney9539Imo, i believe Danielson could start. I believe that kid is ready. He can start out as a 3rd line center, work his way up to second line center. He reminds me of a more refined Brad Richards with good hands and improved skating abilities.

I would like to see him learning from Kane, Larkin, Tarashanko, Seider, the cat. I believe Edvinsson will be a starter. I believe learning from them, playing with them, is more valuable than a year in the AHL.
I think offensively Detroit is fine. I think with Talbot the goaltending will be acceptable. Maybe not great by any means. But manageable. The left side def is probably going to be ok. My biggest concern going into 2024/25 is that right side def behind seider. There is no one in the ahl and Petry and holl can’t play 2nd line.

I know it's hard for you to understand but the wings will be better defensively and have better goal tending depth. Their problem last season was not scoring goals it was getting scored on. I know you were worried about aging Perron, 31 year old no defense Ghostisbehere, whopping 21 point no defense Walman, fragile 32 point Fabbri, and defensive liability Sprong who disappeared for the second half of the season when they needed him most but you will be proven wrong. Berggren Edvinsson Tarasenko and having Kane a full season alone will replace most of their points you watch. I will be back to embarrass you when they win more than 20 games and even more when they make the playoffs. But I forgot you know more about hockey than Steve Yzerman
