That was a clean shoulder hit and wrapped him up in the aftermath and just happens to be how they went down. Unlike the hit the chiefs did in the end zone to the browns to cause the fumble for touchback. He led with his helmet and struck dude right in the ear hole. That hit was much worse than this one. No flag no call and red immediately said “the play is not reviewable” aka I got paid off to make sure KC wins. That’s the refs go to when they have been paid off. But it was a shot at the end zone and all of those are supposed to be reviewable

The more you get hit, the more you roll the dice. RB's always get hit, almost everytime they touch the ball they are expected to get hit and even break tackles. THIS WAS NOT A CONCUSSION. This was a legit chop to the neck as in “karate chop” as in off switch. It’s real. There is a band of nerves running up both sides of neck. You see fuzzy tv screen when it’s done. Minimal recovery time.

@@vpattt1619 I won’t disagree he shouldn’t have been put in this position on this play, there were other plays that would have worked in this situation and it wasn’t a must-have down anyway. But the thing on the QB sneak last year was a huge fluke. That play almost never gets anyone hurt. Especially a kneecap injury. Those are rare to begin with and for it to happen on a sneak is just a freak accident. If a QB is goign to get hurt on a sneak you’d expect a blow to their upper body, not their legs, just because of how everyone is positioned. And if QBs routinely got serious injuries on sneaks, no team would ever run them.

I was in a bad car wreck with 3 friends in 2013, some guy ran a red light and I was knocked out cold for like 5 seconds. My friends said I stumbled around like this for a few seconds when I came to and got outta the car. I went to the hospital and had a cts scan and mri scan. I had no concussion or anything. They said the impact of the crash was so violent that it was my nerves in my neck from the whiplash. I was totally fine on the way to the hospital. It just rocked me and I was bit sore. Prayers to Patrick and praying that it's the same thing.

The hit didn't knock him out, it was the hyperflexion of his neck. You can clearly see @0:35 in the slow motion how his chin was deeply embedded into his chest. His neck literally pulled his entire body.

The blood vessels and nerves were violently yanked away from the head, in reverse to a more common concussion. Instead of the head rotating, the body rotates away from the head. You can see the body stretch and recoil, when you view the slo-mo; they travel away from each other. Unusual, but the same mechanics of whiplash are in play, only in reverse.

The actual hit was when his helmet hit the ground and stopped abruptly while his head kept moving forward inside the helmet. That's what causes a concussion. Nothing to do with Wilson hitting him whatsoever.

Some people don't believe it was a concussion cause his helmet didn't hit the ground, but people gotta understand a blow to the head isn't necessary for a concussion to happen. If your skull abruptly moves or stops moving abruptly enough, your brain can hit the inside of your skull, bruising it. That's literally what a concussion is and that's what happened here. His helmet didn't hit the ground, but his head stopped moving forward abruptly and his brain hit the inside of his skull.
