Patrie My New Favorite Battleship! 

Kinda wish more superships were like the patrie in the sense that its just another turret, some more hp, and its bigger. No random MBRB or alternate firing, just a direct and obvious upgrade from the Tier 10

Boy I have to say, you are different kind of happy when you can say something good about a battleship 😆

Patrie gains 50% shell volume but gives up 0.2 Sigma AND has 6 seconds longer reload. In terms of real DPM it isnt really a big upgrade and its way less reliable.

If you are in a clan with the upgraded super ship port option it lowers the cost of the super ship.

I have a Republique. That said, the Patrie appears to be the ship I wished the Republique would be when it grew up. The Patrie blasts enemy ships out of the water. However, it's going to get focus fired on if it isn't positioned properly and could become a place where a player's credits go to die if they become addicted to playing this big bopper and either never master it or take a really long time to master it :-)

As your resident console player, I ought to inform you that we’re getting republique in legends and you know if you wanna stop by and maybe avail yourself of our lack of submarines and high tier carriers and produce some nice console content I’d love to see it

Honestly Patrie feel eh at best, mostly because all the good things that made either République good (reload, sigma) or Bourgogne (MBRB and the ability to crush one's broadside with it) are totally absent in this ship, it's loud when compared to Bourgogne (with roughly one more kilometer of concealment than Bourgogne, 14 vs 13.1 km of sea detection) so it can't take a whole flank and get a nice devstrike on someone's broadside, yet it doesn't have those nice 2 disks that cut cruisers in half and reload in a shorter time than it takes any ship to do a full gamer turn. Then comes the armor and oh boy is it disappointing, there's a game that wasn't shown in those clip and it's quite sad of PQ facing a triple Satsuma division (for those of you unaware, it's pretty common on the EU server, where PQ has his CC account) and it simply crushed him down, period, there's a salvo on the stern that did roughly 30 K and probably was a citadel, there's also tons and tons of shots that did 10 K just because 32 mm everywhere, it would probably have been a good idea to have a 36 mm deck. Also on the subject of gimmick, Patrie gimmick was, well, hilarious on the first iteration, especially the + 90 % on the penetration (for those who wonder, that means 136 mm of HE penetration on the main battery , throw that on a Worcester's citadel for example, 30 mm on the small secondaries and 48 mm on the big secondaries) but the rest was, good honestly, especially the fact it was a "half" MBRB of Bourgogne, allowing you to squeeze 2 shots before having the combat instruction running down, As a conclusion, I'd say that I'm not sure if it shouldn't have a gimmick, I feel there should be a reward when you reach that tier 11, which is kinda hard to get honestly, yet that reward shouldn't dig a hole between you and a tier 10 as wide as what the reward of most supership dig

Patrie seems very consistent in terms of gameplay compared to the other two super bbs, especially Hannover. Makes me wish that ship just had 13.5-14km secondaries permanently instead of relying on a gimmick to give it the range it needs to survive. I think WGs design of Patrie is really the best way to do super bbs imo.

Dude, I just made a Patrie secondary meme build and holy ish. 😳 Those secondaries are like machine guns. They reach out to 12.5km and set LOTS of fires.

Looking at 4:45 I think you lost lock on that shot before you fired (barely) which might explain the bad dispersion, I'd suggest you review that since it might change your opinion on the dispersion.

Patrie honestly doesn't look like much of an improvement over Republique. Sure, she has 12 guns, but consider this: they reload 6 whole seconds slower and have 0.2 less sigma. On paper her damage output is not that much better than republique, except she fires much, much faster. And it's the reload speed that makes Republique relevant at tier X. Because (as Potato quality explained in several videos) a lot of ships dont have time to angle before the second volley comes in. Patrie looses this strenght. So what does she gains in return? Well.... Not a whole lot. First of all, she's covered in 32mm plating. That's extremely bad for a supership because it means she gets overmatched by both Satsuma and Hannover, both of which you are guaranteed to encounter EVERY single match. And what's even worse is that the hull itself is actually HUGE and easy to aim at. She's litteraly the 3rd largest ship in the game behind Hannover and United-states. Now sure she gets a 15% speed boost..... Except it's a gimped version that only lasts for 2 minutes instead of 3. great! And with her gigantic size and clumsiness, good luck juking shell like in a Bourgogne Her secondaries were completely butchered during testing. Too bad, they were very interesting before. Now of course all of this is by looking at paper stats, but honesty she doesn't look like a great supership, especially compared to hannover or Satsuma.

Seems like a smaller upgrade on Republique compared to what Satsuma or Hannover are to Yama and President.

how did you get the MOD to display the angle of your ship compared to the ship you target? I'm using MODStation and it is still not available for the new build yet.

You didn't mentioned that if you put a special commander (Philippe Auboyneau) on this battleship and after the triggering skill (potential damage), the speed of the battleship increases +8%, which happens quite often with this ship. + adittional skill (devastating hit) which reduces reload time by 5%. Now imagine a battleship with almost the same damage as Yamato and the speed of a cruiser and almost rapidity of fire like heavy cruiser.

Not surprised at all they did an auction for credits. They just gave everyone a ton of credits and they made a sink to take credits out.

One thing I don't get is why they downgraded back to the 100s for secondaries instead of keeping repubs 127s. Weird choice. Heck, even Burger has 127s.

Glad that you like it. Personally, I think it will be nerfed just before the official launch. I think, seeing your gameplay, a unicum player will do heavy damage with this ship

Costs a ton of credits to buy, costs tons of credits to run, have to use your finite number of large credit boosters to run them. I have yet to see/earn one single large credit booster after the initial change. Wargaming is restricting credits

TBH I grinded the Republique less than a month ago just to get this thing, Im just gona wait untill its available for a more resonable price, Plus I dont have 100 million credits lying around

Sorry but seeing this game play, I don't see why would I ever play this instead of Bourgogne. Same number of guns, basically same dispersion, great range. Plus Bourg has reload booster.

Ppl who are saying this ship is boring or underpowered need to realize that this is vermont firepower with almost half the reload (with reload mod), french speed, AA and 100k+ HP in one package

at some point players will stop playing the super ships due to the credit drain. when you get top score on your winning team and still loose credits is just ridiculous.

WoWs going from free to play to free to pay model (or maybe even pay to win again. Remember premium consumables 6 years ago?). If you want have fun in higher tier games you need premium account and having over the top games. Free to play players will not be able affort this boats, because price and keepup costs. WG want to make credits sellable in premium shop again. Superships - only true purpose of this "natural evolution" of the game is monetization. Some whales will be enjoying this, rest will be "enjoying" playing against them in power creept T9/T10. False positive feeling, which most of us have after economy rework, will disappear very quickly, after playerbase burn all economic buffs and money from selling camos.

I think the Patrie is going to be a fantastic ship, but the fact that it has all the negative economy issues that comes with a Super makes it a rough decision to me. I love the Repub, it's my favorite T10, but I don't like that the Patrie will cost the same amount to buy/service as the other Super BB without a gimmick of its own. Wish they would give it more than the standard French BB modules if they're going to put it in a new tier.

Republique with more guns? yes please, i don't mind slower reload or no funny gimmicks, Republique with just 1 more turret is enough though i wish the superstructure weren't that boxy, cuz i lsure ove the way Republique's superstructure looks.

I think adding a 20% credit bonus would make it easier to break even or earn some credits. Otherwise it's spend a minimum of 100 mil in credits so you can take out a ship to lose you money every match. Wonder if it will be banned in clan battles?

This game has gotten out of control. Don't ever speak out against WG or they'll remove you as a CC (Ask Flamu). I posted a rant about how the player base is getting screwed and WG deleted my post. It looks like an awesome ship but at what cost? Super ships, CV rework, subs and plenty other stuff has ruined this game. It started with good intentions but has been overtaken by greed.

Super ships are basically just "Ruin the other teams fun" then? No credit earnings and even credit losses.

This shit is sad. You did your part with a good synopsis and I, now, am doing my part with my reply. I think that bullshit like this does nothing but detract from the game. Yes, one person can afford to play these things but so many times….but thousands of players putting these to use every so often still means seeing these super ships in pretty much every random.

This game needs Super Ships only if they have a special game mode just for them. From my point of view, Super Ships took my excitement of finishing grinding a line, or working hard for steel or RB points. The test with the las CB season clearly showed that, for me at least, that they bring just misery to the player experience. And Super CV... come the F on! really?! I realize now that, in the last couple of years, this game brought up my hate... I'm playing now and hate people that play CV's and SS's cause in my mind the have no principles. Match after match, people shitting on you at their discretion, it's really hard to hate the game and not the player...

We need more ships that sit in the back so we can have more boring passive games. Anyone agree with me?

I think they could have given it a gimmick; like a super ship speed boost(French like). Short Term, but might help with dodging torps or getting some reverse action quickly. You know to keep spirit with the SS BBs
