Yay! Thanks for show-casing my deck/challenges! One note that I'd like to add, just in case it wasn't clear: my Blex deck is a Golgari graveyard shenanigans deck, that has only a few cards that synergize with Blex's front side. I've had Hogaak and Izoni in the command zone prior, before settling on Blex as the the commander I like the most.

Congratsulations for the showcase!! :) I also own a Search for Blex Dredge deck and I find it very interesting how different our decks work. Mine is more of a pure dredge that is interested in taking my whole gy into my hand with things like Praetors Councel/Harness Infinity, then bump whatever I can into mana with Skirge Familiar/Cadaverous Bloom and then win with something silly like Syr Konrad+Tortured Existance. I dont care about reanimation spells, just for Eternal Witness effects. Yours on the other hand seems more like a Reanimation deck that wants to create massive board pressence with things like Insects, Zombies, etc. and win from there. I really like it. :) I can see Concorcant Crossroads work extremely well in your list and horribly in mine lol.

Another factor running against Cultivate is that it doesn't help you ramp into Blex at all. You can play a 1-drop ramp card on turn 1 and play Blex on turn 2, or a 2-drop ramp card on turn 2 and play the backside on turn 3. But by the time you can play Cultivate you can already play Blex, and sure if you want to play the backside then you could play Cultivate, but then you're still only casting the backside on turn 4; it didn't help you get there any faster.

Responding to multiple comments here: Of course you dont want to put Concordant Crossroads in play without your winning board established. Suggesting it isnt good enough because of a play pattern you shouldnt follow with it isnt adding anything meaningful to the conversation. Crossroads makes a lot of sense if the goal of the deck is a mass reanimation alphastrike win condition. Blex is not a card i can say i have seen in the command zone before but the backside seems like a good-enough self mill/draw spell to support the strategy.

Im not 100% sold on crossroads here. I like the idea for sure, especially in a reanimator deck that's only using the back side of blex, but if you aren't winning the turn you play it, giving everyone else haste too can backfire badly.

The point i ask myself is: how many Sakura Tribe Elder like card are better than Cultivate?

Good video but not really clear why it is under “challenge the stats”? Is Hermit Druid a common inclusion for Blex decks (not a very “casual” card)? I thought this particular Commander was typically a token and/or aristocrats theme (sometimes tribal). Green doesn’t have ramp issues, so unless you are looking to just combo off and end the game with a Hermit Druid in the first few turns (Green CEDH) I would think an Akroma’s Memorial would make much more sense).

Concordant Crossroads is probably one of the reasons why Troll and Toad got out of magic. Reprints are still great for players though, so no complaints here.
