Two great value condos. However as someone else mentioned-Baht bus proximity is maybe a problem. I have absolutely no intention of driving anything in Pattaya, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Sure Bolt is available, but it wouldn't be something I'd use everyday. So if you get gthe chance to do more of these nearer Baht bus routes it would be appreciated.
Driving on Samui was awful but Pattaya and even Bangkok not bad at all. I got a small car for safety reasons - I used to race motocross and wouldn't ride a bike in Thailand cities, especially Samui. I used to rent bikes on holiday in Thailand but not since we live here.
I'm all for walking but not in the heat. UBER et al is an option. No way I'd scooter or motorbike or even eBike...bus routes would be great. Having said that...coffee and meals gym pool not much more I need...I wonder how we get mail and or deliveries that never seems to get covered.
@@Basman59 In our condo the security guard by the elevators in the lobby handles it, even payment envelope hand-offs. We tip him. Big condo blocks have slots/mailboxes area like in the US. We use Lazada and COD everything but if we're not there my Thai wife has a Kasikorn account she uses with the delivery guy's code or whatever. Cake!
Same view on driving here. I would not dare risk, motorbike, or even car. Too many problems, and expense when you have an accident. Bolt OK, but everyday back and forth expensive. Hence baht bus route for me. Thank you for your information, good vlog.
@@billytheweasel Ha ha, used to race motocross with its I'm coming through mentality and you saying it's too risky to ride, speaks volumes! 😜 😂 you do need eyes everywhere and take it easy, but I know what you mean. 😊
I'm one of those guys fed up with what's happening here in the USA. Living on a pension, my income is being eaten alive by inflation (and forget about the politics, it'll drive you insane). I'm truly looking forward to perhaps coming to Pattaya in the next few months to check it out, and as always, appreciate the service and advice you provide to us guys looking to visit Thailand. Thanks, Daz.
@@daynevickers1079 Real Estate here is crazy. I dont have children, I rent a studio in central city for 310NZD a week. The rest of my income is spent on entertaining myself. prostitution is legal. My happy ending is to just get Hell Pizza and Craft Beer delivered.
Greetings, I too am fed up with US BS. I moved to Mexico and bought a house and am now decompressed and looking at other options. Pattaya looks great,, but,, be absolutely sure you know the latest rules. They change them. I havent gone yet. I had all reservations made for 2 months and discovered that I had booked 62 days. They only allow 60 days without special requirements. If you overstay, you are on a list and will forever be tagged. So I cancelled my trip until I know where all the alligators are in the pool and their disposition. I would have been in a world of SH!T!!! I just discovered a Fast Track service through BKK airport. It appears that there are several. I highly recommend using one especially the first time. And discuss everything you are bringing. EVERYTHING!! You can be dinged for vitamins and medications that are more than you need for your stay. You could need special documentation for your prescriptions. One little misstep and your in hot water with your wallet being boiled. As one vlogger put it,, It's a mine field. I've been all over Europe, US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica etc etc,, never looked at Asia till now and I'm hearing all kinds of horror stories. And, should you think about the Philippines,, research the latest Exit Visa issues. Not only do you need a passport for entry but apparently now you need an exit visa issued withing 2 days of departure and the offices are closed on weekends. Also, you need to read articles 147 and 148 about cohabitation and how she can take half of your assets. It doesn't specify the time frame,, 1 day, 1 week 1 year. I do hope this helps. All the best.
Im a cyber security analyst and I finally got my first remote job and i was looking into apartments in pattaya and wow. The value you get in Thailand is quite mind boggling for me to wrap my head around… A similar apartment in Florida would run me about 1,600-2500 a month depending on the location. Im so excited to go apartment hunting next month and I really appreciate all these videos showing us these amazing options!
But these condos are not near the beach, bars or restaurants. With that money to spend, look at View Talay condos and Jomtien Plaza Condotel, which are on or near beach road
@@argonaut816 I know I could afford closer to the beach and party roads but to be honest I think it would do me good to be a bit further away from the party scene hahaha. I feel like if im a bit further it’ll prevent me from partying too much and force me to cook more at home and stay in shape. Besides I send a lot of my income to my mother to pay for my dads caretaker because sadly he suffers from Alzheimer’s and needs full time care… But anyways the price seems amazing from what I can tell considering the amenities that come with it!
Decide what you like to do regularly, exercise, sports, go to restaurants, or the beach. Try to find a place 5 or 10 mins from there. Will you have motorbike, car, walk, or take baht bus? Do you need a quiet condo, view, gym and/or pool? Lastly look around the building for signs the management is not helpful or enforcing the rules. Definitely think you will love Pattaya once settled.
@@jbranche8024 Definitely looking into getting a bike while im there, although i can’t be sure because I’ve heard its a bit of a shit show in regard’s to the driving over there. I’ll probably wait a bit to decide wether or not i would even need one but the danger of getting into a crash is definitely a concern especially since I haven’t had a bike in like 3 years
@@mr.lorenzo3620 It is the level of skill you need as a driver is high. If you learn how they drive, are willing to start slow, not make any sudden shifts , use signals, make way for other drivers no matter what side of road or what direction they are going and there is a hierarchical driving structure you will be fine. You seem like a smart and logical guy. But yes better to start by riding on motorbike taxi and learning style first.
Both apartments look very nice. I couldnt really tell if either of them had burners in the kitchen because the showcase was a tad fast. Also, an overview of the immediate surroundings such as shops, restaurants, and grocery stores would be helpful info
Both are great condos, but if you rent in Amazon get your own sofa because the standard sofas are terrible . I've lived in both complex and both are excellent ,but i would recommend Paradise park because its a little better quality on the standard furniture that comes with the condo. Thanks for great content.
Very nice Daz. They are 20 min walking from where I am staying in this studio apartment. But I like the gym and separate room so could effectively have friends to stay from time to time and lock up and leave for a month or two. Pools look great too. Will go for a walk to inspect as well for when I return in March. Another retirement option. Good value for money.
The Residence condo in Jomtien may be a good look. Turn left after rompo market. It has bigger rooms that are very luxurious and start at 1.5 M for 52 sq M. A nice place. Almost bought one myself.
@@billyjohnson9166... Don't over pay for a condo. This is not the west... 759k baht for an empty 40sqm condo. One that is ready to remodel. 1 to 1.1 million for a very well done new remodel.
Home run condo tour, Daz! Really enjoyed this one - excellent value with first class amenities. Thank you for preparing this tour. Well done! - Mark O, USA
Excellent Vlog once again. No other RU-vidr come even close to what you have been doing for your subscribers knowledge and benefits. May you grow manifolds. Good Luck 🤙🤝🍻
Hi Daz, Thanks again for showing us these Condos not bad for the price I have to say I prefer a smaller block I always think about the noise levels. I will be in Pattaya/Jomtien in November for a couple months I have arrange some hotels & AirBnB for the first couple weeks just to look around at ease. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
I nearly can't wait till i retire in 2027 so i also can relocate in winter to Thailand and avoid the cold dark time in the Netherlands. I hope prices than will as cheap as they are now. Great video
The $229 unit had a stove top. Boutique hotel type bathroom sink. But they want 2 months deposit. I'd like to relocate from the U.S. to Jomtien by October (before high season). I may tour both these buildings when I'm in Jomtien late June
Amazon is nice especially for the price. Jomtien is a good area, they re-sanded the beach and it's very broad now. With covered parking I'd consider getting a small car. I got a car and am happy I did.
I like the second and the third room that you shown. The second room I like the free fitness workout area. The third room I like the first level swimming area.
G’day Daz, great video, after I watched your video I looked up the Amazon Condominium on the internet, it looks a great condo’s, fantastic pool area, great price to buy or rent, but myself I find the apartments a little dated, for a 70 sqm two bedroom it’s a fantastic price for the area, I think if I was buying I would be doing a total interior renovation, thanks for the tour, Cheers Michael Sep 3, 2023
I stay at Amazon Residence for 8000 baht facing the pool. Very Quite once 6pm comes around and relaxing, you can hear a pin drop. A great value for money and I enjoy it.
Great value condos.. I considered Amazon a year ago when I retired here but a little to small for me..I agree with the one commenter about transport… but if your going to retire here your going to have to get a motorbike or car eventually…I now have 2 bikes…one small scooter for the city and a big one for touring..you just need to be very careful driving here…
Please can you ask when you do some more if they have safety deposit boxes in the rooms, thanks for some great information with these vlogs. Regards Chris
First pool very nice and fairly decent first gym which you don't always see - apartments are okay. Great job! AC and appliances look old. access to cafes and food would be an issue.
Thank you Daz, very reasonable deals. However, I would be interested in something a bit larger, maybe 60 sq meters, not necessarily a 2 BR, but maybe just a larger living area, with a normal size refrigerator. Do you think they have something like that in either of those condos?
I really enjoy watching these vlogs, so many bargain condos, & you have the perfect narrator voice in my opinion, the only slight drawback I see, & it's the reason they are so cheap, you'd feel a little trapped being in the same place for a month or 2 in Thailand, but... Saying that, at that price if you were staying for 60 days, you could go off to an island for a week or 2, & not really lose alot money wise doing so ..if I went to say Koh Chang, for a week I'd lose around £50... You'd struggle to get 1 night in any hotel in the UK for that! Obviously would be spending more on Koh Chang accommodation aswell, but at least wouldn't feel trapped in one place & get to see more 👍 appreciate you doing these informative and enjoyable vlogs mate, what's not to like. 😊
Daz . Tnx for your vifeo about hotels in Jomtien. I stayed in Sunny beach residence on Soi 6 jomtien. I actually showed the owners why I booked there. I showed them your youtube profile. The hotel was gr8. Only 50 mtrs from the beach. Quiet street.good big clean room. Staff was top notch. Only minus was no lift. But its a small hotel - 9 rooms Only. So not too many stairs to climb. It was 918 bht (Agoda) Not too bad for xmas i believe
I like the apartments in Paradise Park, but like the pool at Amazon Condos. They look quite clean and modern. I am curious about how much (USD) does the electric bill cost each month. Thanks for your videos.
Hi mate by watching this video U got so fired up about the rental market here in Australia where greed totaly out laying supply but after I settled down I thought well could the locals afford something like this probably not so I suppose it's like a catch 22 situation
Thank you very much for your informative videos. There are two points, which I am missing in it. 1.: I would appreciate it a lot, if you would show a map, so we can see the location of the condo and the distance to the beach and the next shopping mall. 2.: A lot of Thai bathrooms have no waterbarrier on the floor between she shower-area and the rest of the bathroom. To see this, it would be great if you aim your camera also to the floor of the bathroom. Thank you very much for all your helpful information.
looks very good value, but as others mentioned would prefer condo on the baht bus run, as i will not drive or ride BOLT available but i notice there fares seem to increase by the week, what a year ago was 60 baht now 90baht ,,,
wooo looks lovely I'm hoping to come in September and I'll be looking at these apartments is there any more info though you more or less covered everything thank you Brian
Those ones are a bit far from the beach imo. Got my little pad right on beach road with a good ocean view a bit before Na Jomtien for 9k a month on a one year contract which is coming to an end in August. Looks like I got not a bad deal and still on the songtau route. 10 baht to Pattaya
Daz, these are the videos that I find SUPER Helpful. I am going to follow your lead, these are great condos at fantastic prices. I WANT ONE. Do you think these will still be available in September & December?
Hello Daz i thought they were a good sized condo certainly for the money and yes i think better for you long term to live jomtien to get away from the madness of central pattaya. A very good find thank you.
The Western countries, especially USA, is going off the rails. Welfare for everyone, crime all over the place, inflation running rampant. Thailand is such a better alternative.
One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, really good deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.
@@knowitall6180 Odd, we used to swing by the "Managers Special" rack every time we shopped in the US. Saved 50-70% every time on that stuff. Did it for many years.
Both look great for the single person. Unfortunately we are a couple and looking for a larger apartment 60sqM+ near the baht bus route in Jomtien, monthly budget around 25k on a 6 month lease. Is that possible?
All the places you showed were great if you are a minimalist. I didn't see much in the way of drawer or closet space. Or, space to add dressers for that matter. That would be the only thing that would be a turn off to me. Other than that. Can't beat the value. I could probably get by on Pact act and disability money.
Looks lovely the Amazon place. Tbh, I’d pay a higher rate for a shorter period to stay there to get a ‘feel’ rather than commit for 6 months or more. I’d hate to be tied in and find I don’t like the place but have to put up with it for the duration of the contract. Most important are the local facilities, supermarkets, restaurants etc, without those and with no transport is a bit of a mare tbh. Thanks for showing these places, handpicked by you and will save lots of people heartache finding suitable accommodation to settle down for good over there. 🍻👍
