On pourra dire et écrire tout ce qu'on veut , et ce malgré tout le talent de Louis Armstrong où l'incroyable virtuosité d'Ella ( je passe au profits et pertes les interprétations de Sinatra et autres Buble , Williams et consorts ) mais la version de référence définitive restera toujours celle de Bobby Darin aussi bien en studio que sur scène ( dixit Sinatra himself) . Ici Patti Austin s'y réfère un peu "down by the river DONT'YOU KNOW " où "Look out old Mack is back in town " . D'ailleurs cette prestation est plus qu'honorable même si elle peine un peu à la fin .
Sorry don’t like this, they are singing this so great with all the histrionics arm waving and to me not singing but shouting. I’ll await the vitriol. Why does she have to do this. She loves herself. Leave Ella alone. She said she doesn’t do the Ella version of how high the moon but Charlie Parker’s version of ellas version 😳 don’t know what she does but sounds pretty much like ellas version note for note only done badly
