Always thought it was cool that she ,Prince(RIP), Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are friends. Powerhouses of Music! Soul Train Music Award Shows are still great to watch...as was the Original Dance Show on Sat afternoons growing up... Miss those days!

I remember the first time I ever heard "Open My Heart"...I knew IMMEDIATELY that her voice was going to be around, for a VERY long time. That song, spoke to me on another level, that didnt have anything to do with the church. I stopped going to church many, many yrs ago. Fast forward to '99, and I was living in my hometown Wash/DC..and I was going thru it...through some very difficult times. I got home and while Im getting ready to take a shower, the song came on the radio...right there in my bathroom, I got down on my knees and had a little chit chat with my Creator. Thats what song pulled out of me..
