Wenn ich Patti höre mit ihrem 70 Jahren denke ich an das Konzert in der Grugahalle wo ich die zum ersten mal erlebt habe, unvergessen, und ich lebe wieder auf.
Filled with Love . Ready to take on the fucking world with fucking Love. Patti's colorful way of putting her philosophy into practice. Our guns are our guitars she said shortly after the release of her first album Horses in 1975.
"We met in 1971 after my first poetry performance, Lenny accompanying me on electric guitar. Sandy Pearlman was sitting cross-legged on the floor in St Mark's Church, dressed in leather Jim Morrison style ... After the performance, he told me I should front a Rock n Roll band but I just laughed and told him I already had a good job working in a book store." Patti Smith Year Of The Monkey Bloomsbury (2019)
OMG! I have never seen her in a live performance and I hope life gives me the opportunity to see her before I die. It is a 'Gestaltic' experience. Mind boggling. Great. Fantastic. Awesome.
Listen to Patti sing deep and preach... calling for people and our govt to step up.. to save the world.. she’s a force..her energy is soo much more effective and impactful.. in person..
First time i sawpatti smith in concert was in 1972 in huntington beach at club golden bear and u am stull in lovewith her and the band she is a true woman of integrity
This brought tears to my eyes ... True rock pioneer no better album then Horses . The Patti Smith Group was loaded . Awesome American rock and roll at its finest
" For some time, we plotted an Opera based on Medea. Not the traditional opera that would require singers with a lifetime of training but an opera none the less. He wanted me to play Medea. I told him I was too old to play her but Sandy (Pearlman) said Medea need only be formidable ... --- Shards of love, Patti, he would say. Shards of Love." Patti Smith Year Of The Monkey Bloomsbury (2019)
I'm glad she is still working. We don'rt agree 100%. But, Patti is one of my heroes. Drive very carefully. This is not the world we were born in to , IT IS A DANGERROUS PLACE , , ,
Toole woman who has never lost her ideals. Her lyrics are always profound, encouraging, and also lyrical. I saw you in New York in the 90s and the concert was in Cenrel Park for everyone. Thank you Patty
Wer mit über 70 Jahren so eine kraftvolle ehrliche Performance hat darf ehrlicherweise sehr laut singen: "People have the Power"!! Viva Dresden 09.06.2022.
