I'm a long time fan of this massively talented woman. This album came out right around the time my man had a potential diagnosis of lung cancer, causing us to run off to elope in Jamaica. When we came home we decided that this was our "wedding song." The diagnosis was false and now we slow dance around the kitchen to this song every anniversary. It transports us instantly back to our time in Jamaica. Love you, Patty.

I played this song at my sons Marine funeral service every time I hear it breaks my heart . A loss of a child is apocoliptic

I lost my doggie, Lily, a few years ago at the age of 18. I play this song whenever I want to remember her sweetness and carefree companionship. She died in our favorite park on a totally heavenly day...blue skies, puffy clouds, just the two of us waiting for her final dr's appointment, which was not necessary as she left from here to there amidst God's beauty and my tears. "The Lord gives, the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord!" Thank you, Patty, for this most perfect song.

My dad just passed away 2 days ago, and this song is only reminding me those days when I was with him..and I wish I could just have a little heavenly day to borrow for little bit more. Such a beautiful song.

My grandmother who spoke very little English loved this song when I played it for her, she explained that there is this certain bittersweetness in patty’s voice that made the song so emotional. In her words she’s said “I can feel the sorrow in her voice, it’s beautiful but so sad, as if she misses someone so much.” She passed away in 2015 and every time I listen to this beautiful song I always miss her, I understand her now.

I have always thought Patty Griffin was way under-appreciated. Such a talent..

ima rapper.. but me n my dad do an acoustic act n get paying gigs. he plays n I sing and we our doin a version of this song at our next gig and im so excited about doin a male country like cover of this song. My mom n my sisters love this song so I wanted to perform it for them and they are gonna be absolutely shocked when they hear us play this. its the only female song we cover, its just a very chill n relaxing/peaceful song n I like it a lot... and yes, I know its pretty unusual for me to be a very dedicated gangster rap artist as well as a singer in an acoustic cover act that does pretty much all country but I don't give a shit what anybody thinks, I can do both with plenty of swag and Im confident in my abilities in both genres so ill continue to do both.. I love rap and thats my main interest in music but I get paid doin the country music n plus its cool to get to perform in front of pretty decent crowds with my dad.. its pretty awesome and I know it means a lot to my dad that we are doin shows together and it damn sure means a lot to me to have my pops on stage with me performing n makin dough with me..
