This was a charity concert for Kentucky where both Patty and Chris grew up. This was a hit song for her. Also, they did a duet on her song You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive which is well worth watching and for being 65 and pretty much retired from singing, Patty still has the pipes. Patty is also a cousin to Loretta Lynn and her sister Crystal Gayle too. They had some talented ladies in their genes.
Great reaction. This is Patty’s song hit from the 90’s. She sang backup with Vince Gill on Go Rest High on That Mountain. She has a fantastic voice and phenomenal harmonizing abilities.
She is a legend in her own right. Basically retired from singing. I've seen her many times in concert over the last 30 yrs. Love her. Thus was a hit for her .
OMG... you don't even know Patty... she was one of the BEST back in the 90's... She is cousin to Loretta Lynn and Crystal Gayle (sisters).... we're talking country music royalty. Also one of the best harmonizers ever.. she did amazing songs with Vince Gill too... Patty is in her mid 60's.. still has her voice
Patty in her mid 60s here and retired. Chris was hosting a fund raiser and asked Patty to come out of retirement to raise $ for flooding in Eastern KY. They are both from there. She had not performed live in awhile.
If you want to hear an amazing song... Vince Gill and Patty Loveless.. Go Rest High on that Mountain... Vince wrote it for his brother who had passed away... if that song doesn't hit your heart you don't have a heart.
Watch Vince Gill and Patty sing Go Rest High on That Mountain at George Jones funeral. Vince was trying not to break down. Patty was carrying him. It's very emotional.
You've seen her performing with Vince Gill, if memory isn't failing me. She sang with vince on "When I Call Your Name" and "Go Rest High On that Mountain". She also done backup with Alan Jackson on his song "Monday Morning Church".
Patty Loveless is the legend here, and this is her song featuring Chris Stapleton. 😂 They’re both amazing and total class acts, but let’s not forget who looks up to whom. ;)
Please go down the rabbit hole with Patty. She is right there with Rebavand Dolly.vshe sang backup to Vince Gill in GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN This is one of Pattys biggest hits. She had many great songs. Vant go wrong with her
Great Reaction....... Patty was big in the early 90's,... had been retired for a while when Chris called her.... Some of her other songs..... "I try to think about Elvis," "I'm That Kinda Girl," "You Can Feel Bad," "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye"........

Check out Patty singing “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive”. Don’t do the one where she duets it with Chris. Please. 🙏🏻 Do the one with the old pictures in the background. Her voice is freaking amazing.
