Country music is nothing if not true. You know that’s the definition right, three chords and the truth? There’s so much beauty and love to celebrate but as humans there’ll always be heartache too. I agree people give up too easy sometimes. However, there are cases that divorce is the best because they can grow apart and no longer have anything in common. When people stay together for the wrong reasons, then abuse starts, and there is no coming back from that.

I will say that emotional abuse is just as bad as physical abuse. Also if you have emotionally checked out of a marriage, you've left first even if you're physically still there. Do not put up with that type of marriage. Also, do not just stay in a marriage for the kids. If you are constantly fighting, that is doing nothing but harming them and distorting their view of a healthy marriage.
