Loved the way their story was portrayed, Paul going down the path he believes he must go on, and Chani seeing the man she loves turn into everything she hates, the tragedy is what makes it so impactful.

Yep...part 3 is where things fall apart. Hopefully Villeneuve can hold the story together better than it happened in Game of Thrones.

@@anitagorse9204 He already set-up the stage there is no way audience wouldn't have any idea. Everything was there in Part Two from acting to the plot and still people wouldn't embrace them then they aren't paying attention or they are just ignorant.

Loved the last look Paul gave Chani in this film, Dune2. Both of their hearts were broken by what he had to do to secure Freedom of Freman. I loved the last three people standing are Princess, Paul and Chani. Paul standing in front of the Princess turns and looks at Chani. That action tells the Princess, she and Psul have a business deal and he loves that girl over there in the stil suit.

I absolutely love these two together I hate that Chani had such a tragic ending but they were still a beautiful couple and Paul’s love for her was that man’s one redeeming quality. He truly only loved Chani and stayed faithful to her till the end❤️

@@ndnEaglemanNot exactly. Paul is still as loyal to Chani as he’s ever been and he can never bring himself to do something to change that. The movie just doesn’t really showcase that as well as the book does unfortunately.

@spruceeagle4684 he is in love with her but not loyal. He would rather protect his family name and continue the propaganda of the Bene Gesserit than allow the Freman to lead their own to freedom. Chani is betrayed by Paul and sheds the tear as she loves him. He has future sight and uses it to his advantage along with the knowledge he has of the Fremen provided to him prior to the attack that killed his father.

The ending of Dune Part Two honestly made me sad. Paul became entirely what his mother and many others before her planned for years beyond end. Paul became exactly what he didn’t want to become. He wanted to prove he could achieve the impossible without following the prophecy. Paul just wanted to be what Chani saw in him. She believed in Paul Atrides as the man he was. The man his father saw in him. That is all Paul wanted to be. A respected, trusted and worthy leader like his father was. His mother is evil in my eyes. She chose her religion over her own son, her own child. She would rather believe in a prophecy than believe in her own son to make his own choices. Not the choices the Bene Gessert made for him. I know the ending of Paul & Chani’s story and it is honestly a tale of sadness. Their characters both deserved better. Love your video and choice of songs. Thanks for uploading.

I agree ☝🏻 I was very disappointed with Paul’s choices & how he manipulated a nation to seek his revenge & gain power. The sad part was he didn’t give a damn about chani during this whole time. Paul one second love declaration had no meaning when he had betrayed her trust multiple times without remorse. He knew the future (that she’d forgive him eventually), so he carried on regardless 😒it was sad to see chani leaving alone in the desert at-end 😢

Probably the best rendition of the books. It's been a while since I read the books so the accuracy might be a bit off, but it is still simply amazing and the best two actors to play the key roles. Oh and the mother. PERFECT

This is one of my favourite love stories. Like these kinds of love stories are so beautiful yet tragic and bittersweet at the same time but this is one of the most greatest love stories. In my head for some reason, they kind of remind of Coriolanus and Lucy Gray. I mean, like Lucy Gray, Chani loves Paul but she does not know if she can trust him. And like Coriolanus, Paul loves Chani, but he broke his promise to her to not take power. That’s the reason why. Some of us may or may not know that the director is in fact making Dune 3 but obviously we don’t know when but hopefully we will see this couple together in the future.

After drinking the water of life Paul saw his past and future clearly He saw everything He knew what's going to happen He said to her he will love her as long as he breaths Which he did, Erulan is a political choice to stay in power Even in 1st Dune before meeting Chani, after the harrakinen destroyed and genocide he escaped in the cave he said Emperor daughter is not married yet He gave a hint that time how he's going to take revenge So that he did for his father for Atreides And fought for both Fremen and house of Atreides But in Massiah he will marry Erulan but never even touch her Paul he and Chani will be how Jessica and Duke Leto was to each other They didn't got married but was in a relationship

Love them. Loved they gave chani agency (to elevated the film away from a white saviour trope) but I still want her and Paul to be together in the end somehow

⁠@@user-lu9bg4ll6vReal world history does not apply to stories of fiction first of all, unless that’s the route the author decides to take themselves. Second of all, Paul is more of a reluctant leader in the movie and in the book. It is the Fremen who put him on that pedestal due to the Bene Gesserit setting the prophecy in motion long before Paul and his mother even arrived on Arrakis. Paul’s mother takes advantage of that fact while Paul is very upset about being used as a Bene Gesserit tool but eventually has to accept his role despite how he feels about it.

End can be manipulated to didn't change book porpoise...Let say that like in book Chanie will die by bourne twins after first child Leto ,imagine story that Irulan make a plot to kill usurpator and Chanie ,Paul stops assassins get dungeon Irulan on Selucia Secundus..Paul and Chanie start love and not get politics vending ,real vending on some made story off Fedaykin,first child Leto bourne on Arrakis and twins bourne on Calidan were Chanie dies in 44,45 years could not avoid destiny writing on they stupid properties after and get on reserved tomb were are Paul ancestors weight him in same tombe to be together after Paul was blind and happy weight to join she with true heart what ther father could not do in life..

He didn't want it but he also couldn't run from his destiny. It was either he stepped up to be the messiah or they would have destroyed them all. The people needed something/someone to believe in. Hope! Hope is a powerful motivator and this is why they won. He isn't a regular man unfortunately.... He is a Duke's son and duty comes before anything else for those who have power bestowed onto them. As the emperor said, the reason his father was killed was because he couldn't separate his heart from ruling. He was considered weak because of this and Paul wasn't going to make the same mistake!

The world had made choices for them. Facing extinction from his enemies, Paul did what he had to do to save his family and his people. It was a war he didn't start, but he ended it with the Harkonens and the Emperor. Now it's a matter of fighting the Great Houses.

The downside of the story being adapted into movies is the short amount of time relationships between characters get. You usually spend days reading about these characters, their growth and relationships and on screen its just a matter of minutes.

This is the best adaptation but the political additions are beyond disappointing. The making Paul an outsider, the division they added is not fitting with the book and screams of modern woke bs. It completely ignored Paul's devotion to Chani and his dedication that his marriage to the princess was only political and he would only ever love Chani, would only ever father children with Chani, and his marriage would only ever be in name. They changed Chani's character too much and honestly it sucks. This character isn't Chani. It's too bad because otherwise this would be an amazing adaption. They kept her attitude from the beginning but not the softening of her, they completely ignored a lot of the story to shoehorn in modern politics. Disappointing.
