He's 100% staying. I have a PhD in psychology and what he's doing is very common. He's showing appreciation for the people who truly want him and his home, L.A. but only to let them down easy. He's saying "I love you L.A., I really do, but I have to stay true to myself and compete with Westbrook, I can't leave him hanging after shooting only 2-16 on a closeout" Dwade then tells him to not regret his decision, and PG knows he will feel too guilty leaving Westbrook after only 1 season in which he didn't even give his all. Besides all that, the fact that he brought in the Thunder GM to his videos further confirms that the GM already knows and they're excited to get back to work. "Scared money don't make money" is him confirming that his trade and investment has paid off, the risk he took to get PG paid off. He's staying in OKC.

And he wouldn't have been so comfortable talking about loving the Thunder organization, teaming with Russ, and even bringing the GM of the team on the show, if he was just going to leave anyway. Sad to say, but PG will sign with OKC, he really shouldn't. A team won't be able to get anywhere with Russell Westbrook leading. And this isn't any hate towards Russ, this is coming from an actual fan of him. Its just the hard cold truth, PG is bluffing saying that it isnt about the money and all he cares about is a chip, if he was serious, he would've called LeBron and DeAndre Jordan about joining LA in a heartbeat and Philly would be in a much better position of signing him right now if that was the case. Idk what OKC did to make him stay but i hope the Thunder fans are happy.

Apollo Yeah the money doesn't come out of Sam's pockets, it comes out of the owner's pockets. OKC was still a fresh team and made a mistake letting James go. Since then they've been trying to keep their players. Russ got the super max, traded for Carmelo, offering PG the max, offered Reggie Jackson 14m to come off the bench, resigned Kanter to 20m contract, kept Steven Adams, and resigned Oladipo to a four year contract. They're attempting to lock their players up now, but unfortunately they let two mvps go in the process. However, Presti is still one of the best gms on the league. He's great at finding talent in the draft and pulling off good trades (on paper). They just need to kick Billy Donavan out, he can't coach or utilize the talent correctly
