I bet people didn't get it back then either. He probably got treated like a bastard in his youth at intrviews coz he said it as it is, or what crossed his mind especially for the umpteenth time getting the same questions (on a lot of those shows)as is and some of those people can't handle the responses they get, especially for extremely personal or uncomfortable questions.
All four were quick witted and cheeky. It's part of why the US press fell in love with them. These come to mind. Interviewer to George, what do you call that haircut? George: Arthur. Q. Do you plan to get haircuts? A. I had one yesterday. Q. How did you find America? A. Turn left at Greenland (J. Lennon)
I literally get teary eyed thinking of the power and influence of the Beatles. I'm so glad that Paul still is grounded even though he changed the world.
If this makes you teary-eyed, look up James Corden and Paul McCartney doing carpool karaoke. The whole thing's over 20 minutes long and you'll be in a puddle by the end of it.
@@notanotheraccount I've seen that. That's one of the things that made me realize how important he is to people. Meanwhile he plays along with James and gave the fun little concert even though he doesn't need the fame or money. Just a great guy.
@@notanotheraccountI just rewatched it. Hearing the story about how Let It Be came about hit home for me. My grandmother was a concert pianist. She wasn’t a big fan of most modern music but she liked a few Beatles songs. She really enjoyed the piano driven songs. One of the last times she was able to play for my sister and I she played Let It Be. She went to heaven not even 2 months later. The day she passed that song was playing as she took her last breath. That is a memory that only my sister and I have. And I’ll forever be thankful for it.
This is correct, he's probably been shown a couple hundred covers of Beatles tunes over the years and knows to keep smiling but end this quickly. Could be a dig at BTS who trying to think fast came up with this easy encore. No points awarded to Steven Colbert.
@@TheJhtlag I would give Colbert 1 point for the joke. “Sounds like a good one, I’ve never heard that before.” That was clearly a joke towards BTS too. Like the only song they could come up with was that. Clearly they are not Beatles FANS.
@@caprise-music6722 Hey Jude is such an overrated song honestly, they have over 100+ songs in their discography and Hey Jude seems to be overplayed the most. If not that, I Wanna hold Your Hand.
@@ronnielyn19it’s an iconic song mate that’s why, I love the Beatles, I agree it’s overplayed 100% and this song probably isn’t in my top 10 songs by them, but it’s an iconic British song, even around the world, that’s why it’s overplayed
Yep. During being interviewed about their tour round the US the answer to the question"How did you find America?"was: " Just turned left after Greenland"
That is what every artist wants...they want their creation to reach across language barriers, across nations and across generations. That shows that you have made something that is universal and everlasting!
I LOVE this! They are singing with such exuberance and love. Watching Paul's expression shows he was touched by them. Paul is so talented, humble and very witty. He's always been my favorite Beatle.
I'm pretty sure his response is kind of the OPPOSITE of "humble". I mean yeah he's a humble guy (as far as we know). But not right here, he isn't. Lol.
Paul was being humble when he said easy lyrics. The Beatles are very popular in South Korea. Musicians and singers in the industry often listen to the Beatles songs.😊😊😊😊😊
The way that song made every one of them feel is how i feel when i listen to the Beatles!!! Thats all of my feelings wrapped in one!!!! Excited, moved, happy, chill, sad, ready to jump up sing and dance!!!!!!!
Paul is brilliant . . absolute original, genius melodies, lyrics and moods . . consistant, over-the-top high quality . . and so prolific . . miraculous stuff!
Love Paul's sense of humor, he is iconic and a band that is much younger and from another country that doesn't speak English knew him and his music is pretty great that his music will live on another generation.
@alexandreion9875 Optimistic about life are we?Well when I said his music will another generation, it's already lasted atleast, two or three ,and possibly four generations, common language and experience brings people together ,and so does music .
The greatest band ever: they completely changed the musical game, revolutionized music, wrote so many beautiful melodies that have become classics of classics, and they are still the best selling band ever. George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are musical geniuses!
Yes. Great satanic brutal death metal band. The growls and blast beats were top notch. As were the lyrics about killing people and worshipping the devil.
I feel in love with Paul at 9yr, in 1964. Through marriage, kids and grandkids…my love has never wavered. 💞🥰 My youngest granddaughter is 9 and crushes on RM of BTS. She loves this short and we bonded on it. I don’t think her love will endure the test of time though 😉
This is a real emotional tear jerking moment for me. Back then I was the ultimate Paul McCartney stan, Beatlemaniac young teen. Remained their lifelong fan. Nobody moved me until BTS came. Now I'm utterly smitten by them as a grandma who can appreciate their extraordinary multidimensional talents. I'll go to my grave happy to have experienced both groups.
Just another of many reasons to love Sir Paul! If Don Henley had seen BTS do a snippet of an Eagles song, he'd have been on the phone with a dozen lawyers in a matter of seconds!
my son sung this song for the first time today and he did it fully, hes 4 and never heard him sing a full song until then im so happy its an uplifting beatles song
SIR PAUL! Thanks For YOUR Contribution To ALL OF US! Thanks For ADDING To The WORLD"s Catalog Of Great Music Medicine! May ALMIGHTY GOD Bless The BEATLES And Their FAMILIES! As A Lifelong Musician & Songwriter, Myself, I THANK YOU!
Actually , they can sing the entire song...lol This is almost a preconcept against foreigners thinking they don't know english. I'm from Brazil, my first language is portuguese. And Twice is the best kpop group.
Yes, he even did the right thing n gave Pete Best over $10 million dollars. I think it should've been done years before but still, he did it. And yes it was long after the lawsuits.
@@dani-xi3fohe "situation" is that "Hey Jude" is one of the songs written by Paul McCartney which he is NOT allowed to sing. He does not own it. When he tried to buy it, Michael Jackson outbid him and won the rights. After Jackson died, it was bought by SONY who I guess must have licensed it to BTS or something.THAT situation.
Hey jude don't make it bad Take a sad song and make it better Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better Hey jude don't be afraid You were made to go out and get her The minute you let her under your skin Then you begin to make it better And anytime you feel the pain Hey jude refrain
And the song is catchy but anyone could sing it better than the lousy Beatles who had terrible voices and no charisma whatsoever... The only talent was a few songs that they wrote...but they should have written for people who sing so much better...
Paul was being humble when he said easy lyrics. The Beatles are very popular in South Korea. Musicians and singers in the industry often to the Beatles songs.😊😊😊😊😊
I have a poster of Paul that Is hanging on my wall in my bedroom. I have carried it around with me since the 70’s. It is so cool and nostalgic. Love him
Imagine being THE BIGGEST personality in EVERY room you walk into for your entire adult life. And then imagine that you're actually a nice person and you don't let it go to your head. That's Paul.
The band did him proud ..Sir Paul was deeply touched , you could see it in his face , he was back there with his band ,& with his applause at the end 👏 ..I love The Beatles ❤
His lyrics may seem easy, but Paul McCartney's genius is being able to convey an entire scene or mood in a few simple lines. Think of Eleanor Rigby, just a few short verses, but it's one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.
Этот человек изменил мир!!! Это так круто!!! На земле не так много таких людей сейчас, всего пара десятков. А этот чудесный человек даже не теряет чувство юмора!!!))))
