He made mistakes singing JPM's songs with this Unplugged Special, bc this guy singing in this video isn't McCartney. This is Billy Shears, or whatever the name of his replacement is.
@OCTOBERBABY7901 - Nah, this isn't Faul McFartney, this is the second clone replacement of the "original" Faul McFartney. Not sure which copy the current Faul is, but I don't think it's this guy. We're up to at least the fifth version by now. "Somehow, McFartney returned." ~Fo Fameron
@CW. Me too, 71. Got to see The Beatles on stage in St Louis, 1966 with a bunch of high school buddies. I believe we were all a bit soused that day. They looked quite tiny from the far distance from which I was seeing them. I remember trading a look through my binoculars with a girl who gave me her bag of popcorn as a trade!. A-h-h-h, sweet memories.
Fast forward 2021 it appears we can't work anything out....but it's easy for me to work out why I still can't get enough of the Beatles 52 years later...not kidding
After the hundreds...yes hundreds of songs he's written, I'm surprised he can remember most of the great songs he's composed. Hell, I can't ever remember my 8th grade algebra.
"That is one self-confident performer." You do realize you're talking about Paul, right? The only other Paul I can think of who's had a bigger impact on the world wrote alot of the New Testament. lol
Paul McCartney, no way he forgets the words. He's too much of a perfectionist for that kind of a slip up nor was he drunk or stoned. He was just working up the crowd to keep it informal.
I miss Linda. Yeah, she took a lot of crap for not being a proper musician/singer, but she was Paul's soul mate, and I doubt he ever recovered from that loss. When you're that famous and wealthy, how can you ever again really trust a wife or lover?
@@uncledavesfrontier6846 It does, and it happens to the best of them. It's funny, when an old rock star dies, people talk about the great loss to music, even when they haven't made anything decent for decades. I feel like that about McCartney. He hasn't made anything outstanding since the 80s. We've already lost him. But what a genius for writing so many incredible songs.
I love this. It proves he is actually human and he and his little band is why I play music. And I hope Paul understands how he started young kids on music. I will always love the Beatles.
No other pop or rock group comes close to The Beatles' brilliant body of work . Lennon and McCartney were master songwriters , and George Harrison wasn't too bad himself . Best band ever .
@@624radicalham Hello Miami from Aussie Land! Hope you're keeping well. Nah smile :) He does it to me every time. I think that means he brings a bit of joy to our lives. And every time I here The End I just have to air guitar it :)
He’s so different when performing for a British audience. More like a small group of old friends just hanging out and singing some songs. Says a lot about the world.
It’s actually ridiculous just how complex his songs are. People who don’t know think most Beatles songs were three chords, could not be further from the truth, epic epic songwriting
@@justiceforjamespaulmccartney I remember when that idiocy was happening, McCartney let it ride. It's extra publicity he said. I didn't think there were idiots out there who still believed it.
@@68blues I just told the truth. Idiots are those who cannot see or accept the truth. And they are many. The real Paul McCartney did not need extra publicity, for God's sake.
The 4 Beatles were a Miracle. Their Lyrics, Music, and Recordings Pushed Music to New Levels. They Pushed Their Ow Music to New Levels Never to Be Matched in Quality and Certainly Quantity. How Did 4 People from Liverpool End Up Together and then Accomplish the Impossible? Beyond Imagination! What a Gift to Humanity for Eternity!
We know them better than him..because we listen over and over while he's making a ton more songs:) Tho, gotta have John singing with him on this..that voice with Paul is so missed!❤
Yes!!! Nailed that one superbly in a classic Beatles track. Great seamless transitions in major/minor and tempo variations! Gretch tone great for Beatles music. Unique and brilliant band! Loved it! 🎸👌
Paul could hum or wistle the damn melody and it would sound fantastic..and a million times better than most of the crap around today. thank you SIR McCartney
I’m so glad he is still with us. While his song writing isn’t what it used to be (although he’s earned the right to do whatever the f~>* he wants), the fact that at his age he can still perform as long and as strongly as he does is just incredible, and the world has been blessed with (but not really deserving of) his presence for all these decades and is a fa better place because of it.
If only his presence was the single thing the world was not deserving of. We've also had to endure a half century of his really, really forgettable compositions.
The most talented songwriter, vocalist, musician and sincerest person who we all should be glad is still with us, and still on top of his game working & doing his material in the original key which I can't comprehend, especially in his 70's, that's insane. PS:( I always knew he did this in D major.) Peace
If only it were so. Paul can't and won't tell anything that resembles the true story of The Beatles and many people in the know have said it. He also hasn't been able to sing for at least the past 10 or 15 years. But undoubtedly, he and John were the very best thing to happen to pop music ever. And Paul did have the best voice with the most unique character in all of pop music. They changed my life and saved my life. But Paul - being the most sincere person, who can still sing his songs in their original key- I respectfully beg to differ.
Its because John always knew the lyrics :'( Its 2021 and I fucking love the Beatles. Ill do my best to make sure they are never forgotten. Whos with me? Rip John and George.
Solos o en solitario da igual..siempre es un placer para los oidos oir sus canciones llenas de buen gusto y melodia. Gracias por existir . bravo Beatles 👍💚😘😘
TOTALLY understand missing it once but never thought he'd muff it again and even in the final. Good on him for stopping and trying to get back on track. Imagine having to try and remember ALL the songs he knows and plays!!?? Even non-Beatles songs!! I can barely get through Mary had a little lamb..
I finnaly realized just how great RINGO was, especially on this song. His drumming was what I would call a "Gallop" that is fastest at the chorus but switches back to medium pace always at the main body of the piece with slow cymbal hits 1234 to seperate at chorus end.Like the music arrangement he improvises briefly so it never truely repeats.Had to hear one without him to hear all that but he still is under rated and not thought as on par with the other BEATLES when he really was !!
100% agree with you. Not sure why Ringo is still under rated. He is an awesome drummer and came up with some excellent original drumming arrangements for many of the Beatles songs. Got to love Ringo and the others. RIP John and George.
@Joy Stinson What's interesting and somewhat sad IMHO is that after the Beatles broke up he never, ever sang live "I Want to Hold Your Hand" or "She Loves You." Both classics.
