I have suffered poor sleep off and on since a traumatic childhood, always tense and unable to relax with shallow breathing. Now an oldie, poor sleep still affects me and often makes me feel ill from the lack of it. I have found Pauls video very soothing, he is giving permission to sleep and saying its fine to relax. I think thats what I needed.Listening to it every night is a big help and sleeping better.
Reading your comment is almost as if I wrote this about myself. Paul's video has only just come through on my RU-vid channel and I have just listened to it. I actually dropped of for at least 20 minutes. Not much but for me this morning it was what I needed. Thank you for posting your story. 🙏
I'm just emerging from 2 months of horrific, debilitating insomnia. Medication from doctor didn't work, nor did over counter sleep aids. I was despairing. Went from waking in middle of night to not able to get to sleep at all. A few days ago I started listening to Paul's recording, what a difference. Sometimes I fall asleep during the recording, sometimes it takes a couple of sessions. My sleep isn't back to normal yet, but I'm getting there. It has helped me get over the fear of going to bed and not sleeping.
To all the people complaining that they get woken up by ads at the end: if you create a playlist and add this video to the end of the playlist (so it’s the last video in the list) no ad will play at the end. I have a playlist called Sleep and have a few of these sort of videos saved. Whichever one I want to listen to I just drag it to the end of the list before I play it - this stops annoying ads that might disturb you when it finishes (although there will still be one at the start!😊)
People ask me what my secret is....i tell them paul mckenna....you are literally a national treasure...the impact on peoples lives is priceless....hope you know this, I really do.
I’ve listened to dozens, if not hundreds of sleep hypnosis, meditations and sleep stories and I’ve never come across anything like this. As in, it not only works, I fall asleep so quickly that I don’t think I’ve heard past 5 mins of it. Quite incredible. * I have come back to add to this comment. For the last 8 nights I have also slept completely uninterrupted for 7 + hours, which is unheard of for me.
I used dorctor' prescription for seven days without joy. This video was recommended on Mayo Clinic forum. I am cynical about hypnosis, but haven't seen Paul's previous work I decided to give this a try. I am glad I did!!!! For the last two weeks I have slept well!! Yes I still wake up in the night but I go back to sleep again. I feel alive and ready for the day when I wake up. Thank you so much Paul. I am most grateful for saving my life 🙏🏾 🙏🏾
Same, he’s the best. And the non-sleep ones are magical at the end. Idk how he does it, but he wakes me up refreshed and happy. And I mean, I will do a half hour meditation as dawn breaks bc I pulled an all-night we and need at least a bit of sleep. I did it this morning, actually. Sleep-deprived for two days, I took 30 minutes to close my eyes with this man and had a fabulous day! Didn’t hear a word, I was out as soon as I laid down. And then awakened with a smile. Idk how he does it, but I wish I could make it the alarm for the morning. Lol, I was shocked to see him on a show recently and thought wow! He’s gotten old. Then remembered that I aged right along with him 😂
I have several of the books and cd’s. Over the last twenty years I have dipped into them as I have needed them. Just found them here on RU-vid. Thank you so much they have always helped me.
Just don't ever go down the road of benzos. It's very addictive and next to impossible to come off of. It takes at least two years to taper and at least another year for the withdrawal to even start to ease and the withdrawal is a living hell. No sleep, food and you will wish for death and it never happens
I can attest to the benzos....they are very addictive and most difficult to come off of, at least 2 years physically, but mentally can take additional time ~
Clinical psychologist Francis lavis here in Australia is putting this series in her arsenal for people who suffer chronic pain. And it's been helpful not only for sleep but relaxing and mindfulness. Thanks
I was raised in a boarding school London. I am from Spain but have lived 39 years in the USA. I want to go and see you so badly back to London so I can’t be treated by ONLY you! I have been saving all my life for it but still can not afford you. That’s how good you are! You are my hero 🦸!
Try micheal sealey overthinking talk down. It's like being put.in a trance that is the only one that can actually send me to sleep but this one makes me wake up feeling good but doesn't send me to sleep. This is more subliminal and overtime becomes embedded in your thinking. Keep looking so many are.very good.
This is a saving grace Paul. Midday if I need a boost I can get a deep 2 hour sleep from this. Incredible. Really Incredible. I'd love to have appointments with you. Xxxx
I have struggled with falling asleep for years laying there thinking about things laying there hour by hour I , listen to this soon as he starts counting down I’m gone nn people sleep tight 😴
This is wonderful and works so well. I’ve had a spell of not being able to switch my mind off at night but after listening to Paul I’ve had restful nights. Even stopped taking sleeping tablets. Thank you Paul.
I been watching Paul on tv appearance for many years thinking, don't fancy anyone messing eith my mind. Anyway, cut a long story short. After suffering for 25 years of not sleeping properly due to my husband extremely bad snoring. I purchase Paul's book and cd. I changed my life. Twenty years on and i am sleeping. I have sometimes when i unable to but it does not last long. Thank you Paul. X
Wonderfully effective. It helps with more than getting a good night's sleep. I can't stand other RU-vid sleep hypnosis videos, so the fact that I keep back to this one speaks for itself. Paul McKenna is pretty much unique.
I was told for hypnosis to be successful I need to be awake in a trance-like state. With this one, I simply fall asleep midway through the audio … I guess it’s working?!?!
Excellent stuff. Thank you Paul. I bought your sleep talk on Casette (!!!) (Yes I reall am that old :D born in 1970 :) back when I visited the UK back in 1994 and I absolutely loved it and its helped me, and now my girlfriend who I have been playing the RU-vid version of now many times and its helped her immensely with her sleeping problems. Thank you so much for all the positive work you have done for so many people. It doesnt matter wether its called hypnosis, NLP, or self suggestion etc. its immensely valuable the work youve done to spread these methods and positive thinking. Sincerely, Oyvind (Silly old viking name only used in Norway anymore - sounds a bit like Ivan :) ) All the best form Norway
As a kid I could never get to sleep so my mum bought me this when it was available in CD form and would play it every night to help me sleep. I can’t remember how long we used it for but it must’ve been at least a year and I HATED it by the end because I could literally quote it I’d heard it so many times. Funny how I’m back here again many years later after still not ever being able to get to sleep easily. Let’s see if it works now!
@@danhudson4614 haha I actually don’t remember if it got me to sleep or not. I’ve found that speaking doesn’t really get me to sleep but noises do so asmr is good as long as they don’t talk!
Thank you..I have had real problems sleeping during this third lockdown..last night slept without waking at long last..felt so much better...I'll be doing more of same tonight! Thanks again..☺
I love Paul McKenna's voice. I completely fell asleep during this sleep hypnosis but then a different RU-vid video played and woke me up so I disabled the auto play and repeated the process and immediately fell asleep again. This is pure magic!!
Paul, I don't know if you read these comments, but I have to thank you for this hypnosis audio. I have depended on it so much during several months of frequently overwhelming family and house repair projects. Thank you! ... And, by the way, your podcast is amazing and is one of my favorites!
Hi @PaulMckenna this has literally been a Godsend to me. My husband is waiting for surgery and is in the hospital. And I lost my dad 12 days ago. I can't recommend this enough. Im definitely doing the stop smoking one. Thanks Paul you have a new subscriber x
weetrapper1 Oh , I wonder if it's because I've watched it right through once , so they don't play again , I may have fallen asleep when I listened first time around ? I've just sat and played it right through again and there's still no adverts in mine ?? 💁😕
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Nothing online has such a soothing and nourishing effect for sleep. So superbly scripted and put together with great fx, I've listened to it countless times and only wish I'd discovered it sooner! Real care and thought gone into it, much thanks.
After having become familiar with the initial info, and since I don't need a stereo testing, I like to jump shead, to save a little time. >> 1:34 However, because I can already count myself down into the alpha state quickly, I can also fast-forward beyond his method of countdown. So at least in my particular case, this is where I prefer to begin: 5:03 I hope this helps anyone who also fits into these particular categories. 🙂
@@danhudson4614 This is not your run-of-the-mill, typical hypnosis session. Paul McKenna's hypnosis programs are designed specifically to retrain the subconscious part of the mind. Unfortunately most people don't realize this, so they develop an artificial dependence on it, thinking that they'll always have to listen to this hypnosis session in order to be able to sleep well. Granted, there are a variety of methods out there, including this transformational system, to get it done.
I have anxiety & struggle to sleep most of the time. I have gave this a try & I have to say it has helped me a lot. I had the best sleep that I have had in a very longtime last night. Thank you Paul.
Thank you so much for what you are doing, you are very talented and your videos are so helpful to me! Thank you, I usually tend to resolve problems when I go to bed and I can t sleep…, but when I listen to this video, I fall asleep in the first 2-3 minutes:)) I have to listen to the rest of the video, the next day when I m awake, cause I don t remember anything. So helpful🙏
I''m asleep by the counting down I've never been able to get to sleep that quickly. Also when i wake up i have absolutely no memory of the very beginning. Just the counting down from 300.
well..I gave it a go. still needed my zopiclone at the end. I appreciate your help though mr. Paul. I guess I am a chronic case. For all those who can fall asleep naturally, you have a true blessing that you should be grateful for. Peace ❤️
Try micheal sealey talk down for anxiety. . Zopiclone is a curse if you stick to meditation daily and don't just say well I tried you might have more luck. I have generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder and had addiction problems. It takes me 2-6 hours to sleep without meditation I do not take antidepressants due to glaucoma and I had zopiclone it didn't touch the sides after a few days and the affect just wore off. I absolutely guarantee you any self medications whatsoever including alcohol and weed in the long run will make the issue far worse. There is obviously a underlying issue for you.. Cognitive therapy and psychotherapy(talking to like minded people is the only reprieve or annoying to say it, antidepressants but they only work when not mixed with alcohol or other drugs. By you quitting on trying this you have given yourself back to the options that were not working for you before,.back to square one. This doesn't work overnight you only get out of it what you put into it.

Hi Paul! I just found your channel and have been mainlining your videos. They have been incredibly useful and worthwhile, and are having a very positive, pronounced, impact on my mental, emotional and psychological health. I am a huge fan, Paul, and am wondering if it would be possible for you to create a video around ‘forgiveness’? Too, I would like to donate to your channel or somehow remunerate you for the time, effort, thought AND effort that you invested in creating such valuable content. It’s been a tremendous help to me. I have even started playing them for my 90 year old mother, and am observing marked improvement in her mindset, mood and outlook upon life. Thanks again, Paul. You and your work are making a big difference in my life, and in turn in the lives of my kids, GF, colleagues, friends and family, etc. With mad gratitude, respect AND appreciation, Andrew H. Gardiner
Hi Paul! You may not recognize me anymore but you hypnotize me a couple of times on your stage shows 25 yrs ago or so haha..and then I followed your NLP course with Bandler in London anyway nice to see your vids here!! (They put my comments on the back of a promo later that was nice) I had your “cassettes”🙄 in the past..and with all work and stress I didnt think of these anymore and for years I am such a terrible sleeper..so I found this one on RU-vid...and I am stunned that after all these years I still respond very well to your voice (geeezzz) so this works excellent!! I accidentally played the wrong clip one time where you count back to wake up ..so i woke up..refreshed and alert..(in the middle of the night, so wont do that again😂) So since two or three days i just play this sleep video in bed and Im gone before the clip even ends😳...so thanks again!😊👍🏼😎. Hope all is well with you and your loved ones!
The version where Paul counts back to wake up after 20mins? I remember that from the cassette. Useful for naps. Is it on youtube? Do you have a link please? thanks.
Just popping back on again 😄 I've tried a few other similar videos recently, I was thinking maybe I should mix it up or this one might stop working. Nah. I'm lead there after 30-40 mins still awake. They just don't work like this! The count back from 300 thing is amazing and I've passed it on to my teenage daughter.
I went to see a clinical hypnotist to help with sleep but I couldn’t connect I wasn’t convinced by this either but it’s starting to work. Early days but I can fall asleep to this. Just wonderful.
I think all of Pauls hypnosises are very calming. Anxiety is survival energy though, originates from trauma. Watch Irene Lyon on RU-vid. We need to learn to sense our body from inside according Somatic Experiencing. It will not go away by command, like you cannot hipnotize someone to speak a foreign language fluent by tomorrow.
Try tapping or wearing an elastic band and pinging it on your wrist when you get anxious it works as it brings you back to the present moment instead of your past traumas which some unfortunately stat with us forever depending how bad the trauma is but we can also learn to live with it and accept it and let go and start living a new chapter of our life good luck 👍 thanks Paul for your free hypnosis I love you and Jason Stephenson your the only two that work for Me your the only 2 men I need to get me off to sleep 💤eventually ❤
@@karaszimarianna4003 I've dealt with anxiety for my entire adult life, along with depression. There is always someone out there that has a specific theory that may or may not be the case for you in reality. I found a LOT of benefit from practicing DBT cognitive skills which is a form of "mindfulness" cognitive training. Anxiety levels can shift downward according to states of observing. Likewise, I have gone from feeling intense anxiety to being calm and relaxed with both guided meditation (another form of mindfulness of course) and hypnosis. I'm glad that something works for you, but solutions to anxiety aren't as narrow as you present, presuming I've understood your comment. Best
There was no way I could continue in a relaxed state with the thumps and children's and adult voices in background but I took notes listening to it a second time in middle of day while alert and it helped with sleep a great deal. Thanks Paul.
