He's the nicest guy you would meet. I met him at Salt Lake City FanX last year, and when he was doing his meet and greet, he was supposed to meet with fans for 2 minutes, he would lose track of time and talk to the fans for 5-10 minutes. He was funny too. When you walk up to him he just acts like he was a crazed fan of yours. He would grab your hand with both of his hands to shake yours and he would give a joyful and vervous giggle, but then he would be all calm amd cool. It was really funny of him to kinda give fans that treatment. When I talked to him we went on for so long I wished it lasted longer than his 10 minutes. And he even said if you ever see me walking around the convention, don't be afraid to stop and say hi. And he also walked around the convention with his security escorts, seeing all the booths and panels, and taking pictures with the fans and cosplayers. Most guests don't do that. They would most likely do the meet and greets, panel, and go back to their hotels until their next flight back home. He also bought stuff too, he was seen carrying a few bags of comics of local comic writers, toys, and collectibles.
@@imaninternettroll1660 Your a dumbass, that came in a collection that he often bought in bundles and he most likely had no idea it was there the people he bought it from attested to that. He never searched out kiddie porn, they never found anymore on him which is why he ended up with a misdemeanor, and he never hurt a soul. The whole thing was an honest mistake and he payed for it, there is nothing wrong with collecting kitsch items even if there erotic. Don't make him a devil he isn't, especially when there are real people out there hurting kids and getting away with it.
I absolutely LOVE this idea! I myself, happen to collect all kinds of odd and interesting things. It's pretty cool to know that Paul Rubens is a fellow collector . If I ever met him we could talk about all the weird crap we have accumulated!
I'm a bit disappointed that when you put money in that Mr. T bank, it doesn't say, "Thanks, sucka!" or "Keep it coming, turkey!" or "Save your money, and always respect your momma!"
I've seen stuff on T.V. where truck drivers wrap up a whole chicken to an exhaust pipe outside of the cab or under the hood. Garbage collectors would eat it at thier lunch break. Cars are too modern these days to attach something to the exhaust system to cook a chicken or roast let alone hot dogs to it.
This Google spying thing is going too far. I love pee wee Herman but haven't really watched anything about him for a while. Certainly did silently eat way too many hot dogs yesterday though. Wake up and this is recommended. Now I gotta go find a lighter socket hot dog cooker.
Yes indeed. Even with a little plastic surgery/Botox and some dyed hair/hair plugs or whatever; they still great. And still a sweet kid at heart. Pee-Wee will always be the most special childhood figure to me; beyond Ernest and Mr. Rogers.
I love hearing Paul’s speaking voice and giggle, it’s so comforting, warm and charming. Very youthful quality. Adore his collection, I can totally relate to having these cool eccentric pieces. Love this gentleman even more now. Adore his interviews so much, what a grand guest and friend. ❤️♥️😍😘🥰😆🤩✨🌟❤️♥️
The reaction to Robin Williams death was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. Selena's was close, especially in Corpus. Easily (if not more) as intense, but only in the region. That was my reaction to John Belushi's death. Devastated. I cried like a baby. But I was just a kid back then. This one hurts, but not the same way. A dull, depressing ache that makes me sad. RIP Mr. Ruebens. A class act, that always but the fans before himself. By all accounts, a thoughtful, considerate, loyal friend. Took huge risks, took self deprecation to a whole new level. He went on "the dating game" in character! Who would do that? Hope he gets back all the joy he gave out while he was here! Vaya con dios old friend
I met him with my son recently & he was so nice. We talked for a while & he was awesome with my son. Even got him to say "I'm not sorry I stole the money!" from Cheech & Chong
+sukrat singh That's not even funny or accurate. He went to an adult theatre, the media spun it into some paedophilia bs. Not funny they ruined his career. Glad he's back.
Just like his lil house in Big Adventure, he had all kinds of odd and crazy things. Remarkable persona of a unique character and man, and as with so many of us Gen Xers, he left his footprint on the hearts of our childhood.
I had the biggest crush on Pee wee herman as a child. I loved him so much my mom bought me a peewee playhouse sweatshirt I wish I still had. I am 40 now & I still & will always love & adore this man.
+Riskystache Bounce Houses are all the rage at kids parties these days (inflatable, safer than a trampoline - you've seen them), and that toy is an obvious pun - a "house" that "bounces" = a "Bounce House".
I really wish Conan and Paul had done a road trip somewhere and filmed it as a special for HBO or something. Some sort of… wait for it… great adventure (Stewie Voice: Awwwww, you knew it was coming!), That’d have been spectacular. Rest in peace, Paul - you were truly one of the greats. We miss you already.
I'm with you. I fell into shock, then cried, then fell down a rabbit hole of everything Paul and Pee-wee, and still at random times tear up. He was one of a kind and it hurts that he's gone.
Problem is most people didn't get the full context. Jay Jay above is a perfect example of that. Bet he didn't realize until he read your comment that he beat it in a place many others do....
He was all by himself. He wasn’t bothering anybody. I happened to be working next-door at the red lobster. All of the old Bitties who live in the Gulf Gate area were harassing the current sheriff at that time about shutting this movie theater down. He did get a bad rap. I’m glad to see he’s back and doing OK.
I love Paul Reubens! He is my absolute favorite person in the world. Nevermind his celebrity. He is a great person and I would give anything to meet\talk to him.
Paul Rubens is such a great actor. Of course most of us remember him as Peewee but he played in other films and shows and was always excellent. And of course lots of folks like to hark back to the one time he was embarrassingly outted by the media for his actions in an X rated theater, forgetting how much he actually tried hard to be the perfect role model. There are many stories of how he would be Peewee in character any time he was in public during the airing of Peewee's Play House. He wanted to keep the magic alive for kids as if Peewee was indeed a real person. It's mentioned even how he wanted to smoke a cigarette but wouldn't while in character simply because kids looked up to Peewee and he didn't want to send that message across. He really has a heart for his craft and the media only really started jumping on him when they had a picture of him outside his Peewee character due to the show had already ended filming for some time and was in syndication. He literally looked like the vampire he portrayed in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The long hair and goatee threw a lot of parents off about him. Everyone always wondered whatever happened to Paul Rubens throughout the years without realizing they may have seen him in a film or heard his voice in animated ones, or popping in shows. Because we aren't looking for Paul, we are looking for Peewee. If you ask me, that's a pretty sweet gig.
Everything about this guy is hilarious "Your gonna wake up in the middle of the night realizing how funny that really was" "Try to think of a reason for why it does this" Just things he says is funny af
I love the autograph hound, such a cool idea. I would have to carry it in my car with me at all times in case I run into a celeb though for it to be effective over my lifetime lol
Paul Reubens was such a kind soul. He was greatly under-appreciated by Hollywood, and he was so much more than just Pee-Wee Herman. Rest in Peace, Paul, thank you for the memories!
For some reason I've been really into 80s movies. It's not even nostalgia in my case, but I love them! Just watched: *Flight Of The Navigator* And, though I've never seen any Pee-wee Herman shows/movies, I instantly recognize the voice of Max!
Man what a legend! Pee-Wee is so nostalgic in my life. I grew up with him! And then seeing him act brilliantly in movies like Blow was just awesome. Go back and watch Pee-Wee movies! They actually still hold up on their own!
