Not that it is wrong to reveal a serious illness to others, but Paul did make the decision to keep his illness from friends, fans and supporters. It was very kind of him. And yes, it was brave of him to go on interviews, likely knowing his didn't have long to live. We are so fortunate to have had him in our lives. He is loved, never to be forgotten and will be so missed.

The franchising of PeeWee Herman would have been a great sketch. They could have had an East Coast PeeWee and A MidWest PeeWee and the punchline would be Luis Guzman perform a version as PeeWee Guzman.

What I really love about Paul Reubens is he really went through hell in the press (unfairly) but his kind heart shines through. A supremely talented performer [Pee Wee, the OG Buffy role (a perfect comeback character), Blow, etc...]....This dude is truly a national treasure!

He did go through hell. It was amazingly unfair to take everything away from him when he was arrested and it took him years to build his career back up. The same sheriff who busted 2 Live Crew also arrested Paul Rubens - one can only assume the guy was trying to make a name for himself.

I would think if it was something major, they would have thrown the book at him or tried to completely ruin him like they did MJ. Anyone who knows anything about anything knows how amazing Paul Reubens was. Too bad the rest can't enjoy any of it because they are so focused on things that they really know NOTHING about. The question I'd like these people to ponder is, "Is it out of the realm of possibility in show biz--- or any biz in life in general, for someone to want to destroy another? For reasons like maybe: SEXISM, plain bigotry, jealousy over his success, insanity based on religious beliefs or just plain HATRED???" Is it at all possible?? Also, ask yourselves why you are so quick to believe the worst in someone--- when you really are just being fed some news story in a publication that just wants to sell copy whether it's true or not and whether it's going to destroy someone's life and career because those rags sell to people they know will believe the worst lies fed to them, EVERYTIME?? Ultimately, it's your loss.

That's how I felt when, in 2020, found out about his 2016 movie, Pee Wee's Big Holiday. I think I saw the trailer, but at the time I had so much going on, I just forgot about it. I was puzzled as to why he had not done anything since, but like everyone else, I didn't know he was sick. He did do quite a bit of work even while sick. I admire him for that.

Yes, this has been real hard to deal with for me. I think about watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure and, right now, I know it would hurt too much. it will take time, but we all will get through this. Just keep remembering and reliving all the joy he brought to us. And for those who believe it-one day we will see Paul again in the resurrection and forever get to enjoy his wonderful comedy.

Paul Reubens is so naturally funny even when just being himself. His quick wit and working to build a bit on the fly with Conan is what a comedy team is supposed to look like. A special shout out to Andy, whose well timed chuckles and zingers always added to any bit. I guess I'm still in a bit of denial that Paul will no longer be brightening our days, except in clips, films and reruns.

Pee-wee and Conan have some great magic together. I could have seen them in a movie together. Really working off of each others humor. Pee wee was a true legend and deserved way more recognition then he was shown. His original adult comedy club skits and early dating show he was on showcased he was wayy ahead of his time in 1977. This guy shaped my childhood, my humor and remaining kid at heart. We will forever miss you Pee Wee! Now go make people laugh throughout the universe!

My good friend worked on this Peewee film and he said they also used tape to stretch his face around his jaw to the back of his neck. Interesting seeing Paul acknowledge the de-aging. I feel like most celebs would never admit it.

I think Conan and Paul -- and Andy-- are all that similar kind of person --- big hearts, giant intellects, creatively unique, kind....but down deep, angry. And rightly so....which is where their quick witted humor mostly comes from. Their humorous take on everything in this absurd life and making others laugh, turns the darkness into positive energy.❤❤❤

A good host knows when to sit back and let his guest be the center of attention. See any appearance by Norm MacDonald or Harland Williams, Conan plays a perfect straightman and sets them up well.
