"Paul Walter Hauser (born October 15, 1986) is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his supporting roles in the films I, Tonya (2017), BlacKkKlansman (2018), Late Night (2019), Da 5 Bloods (2020), and Cruella (2021). In 2019, Hauser had his breakout performance as the title character in the Clint Eastwood film Richard Jewell, earning the National Board of Review Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.
He starred as suspected serial killer Larry Hall in the 2022 miniseries Black Bird, and was also seen in the TV show Kingdom. For his role in Black Bird, he won a Critics' Choice Television Award and a Golden Globe Award."

So here's a little insight I heard from a different podcast that helps this moment; They send the concept of pay( not an offer) so that if the actor does a great job auditioning, they cannot renegotiate a larger sum afterwards .

@@roems6396 YOU realize I’m not just talking out of my ass, right?. “Letterboxd”. It’s a platform for reviewing/rating movies. That I use. That I saw this on. They use a 5-STAR system. You can default to “patronizingly correcting strangers on subjects you don’t know about” if that’s what you want for your life, though.

I got the fortune of working with Paul when he was a host for an outdoor movie company years ago. He was humble, caring, and extremely talented... anyone could see it. I'm so glad that his career has skyrocketed the way that it has, and I'm so glad that little moments like this show the person he truly is and always has been: grateful, gracious, and probably one of the most down to earth guys ever.

Im not an actor but i am an independent musician who does most of the booking myself. Acting and music are similar in the sense that you are told no or passed up on so many opportunities you grow numb to it. And when you are told yes for something big it makes it even more unbelievable. We were given an offer as I was entering a plane once and i couldnt help but scream OMG. and i was so happy i couldnt get the words out. Im sure i looked like a psycho but it was pure genuine shock and happiness. Im so happy to see this. He deserves it
