When I was a child, mothers usually were home as mine was. We had very little money, but we had enough for food, a modest home, one car, and a mother who never left us alone to take care of ourselves. There was pressure on her and on my father for her to work along with my father, but they chose to trust God and live on one salary. We were at church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. Family and church were their priorities and I will be forever grateful.
Same story here! It's been almost five years since God used a RU-vid video to show me who he really was. To me, an ignorant who had always had fun of what I thought Christianity was about.
You didn't find him, brother. He found you. The Shepherd is the one that seeks His sheep. And that, I think, is much more beautiful than us finding Him. God bless you!
Thank you Paul Washer, after cutting out the tv, video games, and music I'm struggling to dive into the word, perhaps prioritizing prayer with the true God, Christ and Spirit will help me do so. thank you, anyone reading this please pray that I may better concentrate my energies in prayer and study of The One and The True.
Why are you struggling to dive into the word? Its not so much about reading a ton of chapters but connecting with God in a way where you're able to better seem him as Good and find a spark of joy in him through seeing his Goodness and love. Don't focus so much about reading for hours but pray before you read and just look to meet with God to find joy, healing, connection, refreshment. Don't give up. Trust in Jesus my friend. Look to Jesus in the Scriptures. Just don't fall back into the trap of rushing through it. Wait on the lord. =)
ivan arana The believers have a battle they need to fight all the time with our flesh. the flesh is always in conflict with the spirit and always wants to do everything other then what God and Christ tell us we ought to be doing. this tug of war on you is difficult if you do not realize how to win this battle. our flesh doesn't just vanish when we come to god, it's still there trying to get us to serve it's will instead of doing gods will. but the secret is that if you stop feeding that monster, it weakens and if you feed the intimacy with God's spirit that side strengthens. what this means is that if your flesh is telling you to not read the word or pray or be obedient and you can tell that part of you just doesn't want to, then do it anyways, read the Bible anyways, pray anyways to build up the spirit side of you which will reap many blessings and make it easier and easier to remain desiring obedience in the many teachings of christ. but if you make a life of feeding the flesh side and ignoring obedience and reading the word and praying then you will see one of your worst opponents grow in strength extremely fast. Remember Paul's words. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
ivan arana just pray and ask God to come into you, dwell deep within you and write the sacred scriptures unto your heart. You see reading the bible is good and all but if you do so without The Holy Spirit coming into you and dwelling deep within you, you might as well be reading a scifi novel. It is The Holy Spirit who comes into us dwells deep within us, and teaches us the sacred scriptures.
Thanks brother Paul Washer for this wonderful message. It is an eye opener for me to comprehend the importance of spending time with God on a regular basis. There is no greater joy than to be in His presence in the stillness of the morning
Amen. When we start the day right with God and spend time talking to him and praying, and in his word.It is so amazing how you seem to get so much more done in a day.Always ask The Holy Spirit to help me get my priorities right at the beginning of each day.Hallelujah.Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Thank you for this, I have come to a point where my life has been busier, but this video helped me and showed me how I can spend more time with Him! God bless you all!
Thanks God He help me to get rid of social wasting time instead of talking/meditating God’s word,, its not an excused its a firm decision to prioritize Who is giving u blessings and everything
we do need more honest brothers like Paul Washer, John Piper, Leonard Ravenhill, and a few others will stand to tell the truth. It is a shame that most people in preaching and teaching positions refuse to tell the truth esp. out of fear or self-preservation. Then again you can't be judgmental toward them, firstly a person only knows what they are taught and God will will judge us if we judge them (Luke 6:37 here is one verse as an example).
Hello and thank you very much for the upload, it has truly blessed my life, i have a request: is it ok if i download this video, add spanish subs and then share it trough the web?
Luis Palacios I know you commented this over a year ago, but I am 99% sure that you can. Christ followers wont attack you for spreading the Gospel or some edifying, convicting stuff😃
Amen, especially Americans who are SO CAUGHT up in Accomplishments and Pride of Life and Money and telling everyone that they are TOO busy! Even before I was Saved Sinner Repentant this disturbed me! Perhaps when I left America 48 years ago and dropped out of the Rat Race, and even though I came back and became a Professional, I am never liked this I like his reference to Martin Luther, so good. Now Especially this year but after many trials and tribulations, my most important duty each day is to pray, read the Bible and dedicate myself to others helping as I can. I am not Married! Amen to Paul ! a True Man of God!
i feel like my business hurts the kindom at times. Like i feel like God is reminding me that Martha chose the better way of life cause she spent time sitting at jesus feet learning but i am learning to be in the word and my own lost friend suggested on top of teaching the word to your children continue to do a bible study with just the lost people Jesus brings to you she said your one person i dont think jesus intended just one person preach to the world but each person should do their part and i have agreed
You may also read the "Present," a short text for free on the Global Truth Project. The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus.A life- changer!
Here is a list of common OSAS (once saved, always saved) statements & objections, along with biblical responses to them: 1) "I prayed a prayer years ago, so I'm going to Heaven even though I'm not living right." For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:13 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. 1 John 3:10 2) "OK, such a person is not saved because he was never saved in the first place. But whoever is really saved cannot lose his salvation." If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Hebrews 10:26, 27 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. Galatians 5:4 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. John 15:6 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. Revelation 3:5 Then the master called the servant in. “You wicked servant,” he said, “I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?” In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart. Matthew 18:32-35 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk. 1 Timothy 1:5, 6 But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die. Ezekiel 18:24 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. Luke 8:13 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10 3) "You're teaching salvation by works if you're saying we have to keep living by faith to be saved." Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. James 2:17 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Revelation 3:2 He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. Revelation 2:11 We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. Hebrews 3:14 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reapif we do not grow weary. Galatians 6:7-9 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach-if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. Colossians 1:21-23 4) "If works are so important, what about grace?" For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age. Titus 2:11, 12 5) "But I thought that when I was saved, all of my future sins were forgiven." But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. 2 Peter 1:9 6) "Are you saying I can be saved, then backslide, then be saved again?" My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:19, 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 2 Peter 2:20 Summary: Jesus suffered, died, and rose from death to purchase my salvation, and I could never add one ounce of merit to that. It's not an unconditional salvation, though. The condition is faith in Jesus. If there's no evidence of a changed life, then there's no salvation (James said faith without works is dead). So I am saved by grace through faith. I chose to receive that grace thirty-three years ago. It was a gift received by faith. At the moment I trusted Jesus, all of my past sins were forgiven. I couldn't have chosen to trust him if God had not drawn me by his Spirit, but it still was my free will that decided to receive him. I still have free will. And so do you. Let's choose, by the grace of God, to follow Jesus today, and tomorrow, and so on until he returns.
You need to reconcile your thinking with Romans 8:31-39. That passage shows that nothing can separate God's elect from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. And just in case you try saying "but we can separate ourselves from God's love", v39 includes "nor any other created thing". There are other passages too.
Your misunderstanding of one passage (the one Calvinists always use) is separating you from the 22 passages I shared. You tell me the "real" meaning of those 22, & I'll tell you how you're misunderstanding Romans 8. What does the Catholic "saint" Augustine say about those 22? You know, the guy who was Calvin's biggest influence. The one who married Greek philosophy with the Church.
Paul Washer get to know him please, you are calling Yahushuah Jez Zeus Greek idol please get to know his glories name Yahushuah Messiah stated: "You shall know the TRUTH! And the TRUTH shall make you FREE!" He didn't say that truth is a matter of opinion or needed a consensus, he didn't say there are multiple truths, he uses the definite article, stating THE TRUTH. Why then think that there are multiple truths and that the Father accepts your ignorance? The name "Jesus" is only about 500 years old. Yahushua was murdered almost 2,000 years ago. Speaking of Yahushua, the scriptures say in Acts 4:12: "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." "No other name given" cannot be speaking of a name that did not exist until nearly 2,000 later. That "no other name given" is "the name" Yahushua's Father (our Creator) gave him, not some name men decided to call him. It is a dangerous thing to accept the doctrines of men over YAHUAH's Holy Word - The Truth. (see Matthew 15:7-9) If you look up the Greek word "Iēsous" (Strong's Number G2424) you will see that it is translated as "Jesus" and you will find that it means "Jehovah Saves" (pronounced YAHUAH saves). We know Yahushua was Hebrew and was given a Hebrew name by his Father, the Almighty Creator. The Hebrew name that means YAHUAH saves is Yahushua (Strong's number H3091).
He's a brother... I disagree with Calvinism as well, but he's still a brother. He's not crazy hyper Calvinist... MacArthur isn't either but I'd say MacArthur is more of a staunch Calvinist than washer, thus I no longer subscribe to MacArthur, even tho once again, he's a brother.
From what I have gathered from his teaching he does hold to five point Calvinism. There are sum aspects that can be seen in his message like the total depravity of man but apart from that he does teach about enduring in faith.
+James The Lesser Hey James, what do you think about Calvinism? The Lord many months ago revealed to me over the course of a week that its not a correct view of His character. Just curious what you think
