When I was younger I always thought violinist were miserable but every time you see a collaboration like this they are the happiest people on stage - freedom to ply what they want !!! - and not just the classics !!
Quite simply the master.of his generation. Outlasted or outlived his peers, putting out incredible and smart material. Punk, rock, power pop, pop, jazz, soul...you name it. As much as I love Strummer, Weller just made more music for a longer period.
This was a time that English music had really reached such a zenith that it was encompassing so many styles - Rock, Salsa, Jazz, Soul, country..... Just amazing! such a shame that America & the rest of the world never really got it!
@@dddayesq5061 Unfortunately America didn't get *The Jam* or *Style Council,* I think they were agin anything with too much British iconography, same went for *Oasis* although *The Who* were the exception that proved the rule! Long been a *Weller* fan although I have it from a horse that was momentarily near to him's mouth that he was real c##t back in the day!
I recently passed my driving test. This is my favourite driving tune. Puts me totally in the zone. The best of Weller and The Jam has been on more less repeat for six months. This and C'mon let's go for miles and miles.🤣

Paul Weller is probably one of the most talented active musicians worldwide. His influences are so widely spanned, his ability to adapt has always been so obvious and his talent so fresh that he can hardly be (shout to the-) -topped.

The violinist did such an amazing job not at just their job, but looking so beautiful by smiling while they were playing! Really loved this as much as the main performance!
I was at this gig and to be honest this was the highlight. Wasn't the best gig i have seen of him though there was a wonderful acoustic set. Still love the man
