Paulette Carlson Live. Band Members: Joel Bouchillon--Keyboards; Billy "Thunder" Mason--Drums; Denny Hemingson--Steel Guitar; Jason Hutchinson--Bass; John Latten--Electric; John Bumgardner--Acoustic.
Fabulous. That's Paulette Carlson. No one has a singing voice like Paulette. Notice how she says good night to her audience. I wish I could have seen her live. Don't ya' just love her.
Paulette Carlson is one of the most brilliant singer songwriters to grace our planet!! And talented to boot!! Will always love her music and delivery=)
I agree ...Paulette was the main ingredient but without Cactus, Jack and Curtis it is just not Highway 101 but I love Paulette solo as well...always will no matter who backs her if any
Paulette is one of the best female voices in country music. And it doesn't hurt that she's incredibly cute as well. She's one of a very small group of country artists that's never done a bad song.
My wife and I saw Highway 101 perform at the Crazy Horse Steakhouse in Santa Ana California in 1990 and it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. They sounded great and it was a very intimate setting. I always thought it was a shame that this band never achieved the greatness they were capable of.
It was sad when she left Highway 101. They were all very talented but unfortunatly the singer that took over after Paulette left could not live up to fans expectations. I saw Highway 101 5 times in Calgary AB Canada while she was with them. Best concerts I have ever seen! One was at an outdoor Jubalee on Canada Day. Highway 101 was on stage when the Canada Day fireworks started going off. They paused the show and continued after the fireworks finished. Never forget that incredible weekend!
we are not talking about Taylor here. But since you mentioned her.... she is a class act and a great entertainer. As far as Paulette their are few as good as her. One of the best singers of country music in my opinion and fabulous stage presence
Now that's country music. I miss the country stars of yesterday. When they sang you knew it was country music unlike today country that leaves you scratching your head and asking yourself is that country or what.
Is she still around? I always loved her and thought she was the country version of Stevie Nicks. I quit listening to Highway 101 after she left. I would LOVE to see her and Stevie duet ... that would be legendary!
Paulette Carlson is a Cowboys Sweetheart she really sings and looks the part.Shes the real Sweetheart Of The Rodeo and shes the only one.Im in Love with her period.
I've always been a great supporter and love Dolly and Loretta and thought Loretta was the best but I'm not so sure Paulette's got a beautiful voice, I think she could sing anything she wanted to and it would be beautiful!
She is appearing 7/4/14 in Moose Lake, MN (where she graduated high school) It is part of her high school all class reunion. Performance open to the public.
@whiskeyjack57: She split from HW101, hoping to go it alone as a solo act... but that didn't pan out for her, or the group. They reunited later on but the spark was gone because some of the original members had left by then. Paulette is still performing, unless I am mistaken. Wish she and the original band would get back together; I'd pay to see again.
Highway 101 -" Whiskey, If You Were a Woman" Songwriters: Mary Francis, Johnny Macrae, Bob Morrison. He's told me a million times he's sorry I always take him back though soon I know He'll spend the night with you and leave me crying You don't love him but you won't let him go Oh whiskey if you were a woman I'd fight you and I'd win Lord knows I would Oh whiskey if you were a woman I'd drive you from his tangled mind for good (... more)
Love U Paulelle hell I tuck a County singer to see you . cuz she sang your song's to me in the bar as I walked in. I loved you then and I love you now , and yes I and that same gail are still in tuch
I love everything she sings. And the band is great. Can anyone tell me exactly , or approx. , when HiWay 101 & Paulette played a show in Mississauga , Ontario at a concert club on Dixie Road / Courtney Park Dr.?I saw her there that night with friends as our office was directly across the street from that club and can't remember the show date..
Good solo version by Paulette. Highway's original hit #2 in Billboard, 8-22-87. Why's the vid keep stoppin' and startin'? Somebody let me know. God bless!
The golden age of country music when you could shuffle around a sawdust floor with multiple pretty woman to songs like this, and call in love 10 times a night!
I love the steel guitar in this song. THIS is country music. Taylor Swift sees Country Music as a steppingstone only. Nothing against her, but she just ain't country.
