@@gemmas4829 how come some athletes wear them and others don't? Same for the ankle thingies I see? I ask because I have never been taught about any of these things, apparently have great wrists and crappy ankles (I've rolled both sides of my right ankle and quit the sport with frustration on that front. No one told me about these things you can Wear)
umm a) NCAA judging is not so hash, so you won't see huge differences between the scores anyway. b) Gymnastics does not make sense if you try to compare gymnasts. Does a gymnast with naturally super straight knees and pointed toes get more points than a gymnast with "regular" straight knees and pointed toes? The second gymnast has a higher chance of getting deducted but eventually, they both don't get a deduction and neither get additional points even if the first woman's gymnastics may be more beautiful. Same with style of routine, expression, dance, etc. (and even difficulty in this league) c) Paulines routine was different but not less than Ohashis (in my opinion). They have different tumbling passes, different music, different dance --> NOT comparable
Hi my name's Catrina I perhaps from the judges viewpoint I am although from my own perspective I am not. I’m no gymnast nor pretend I know what the judges look for when scoring. Using the two videos I viewed as reference and for comparisons and going with what I saw and liked, my statement is spot on.
