He landed more significant strikes in total and definitely landed way more shots to the head. I believe Yoel landed 96 shots to the head while Costa landed somewhere around 50. The only thing that Costa had going for him is his advancement, but that doesn’t mean shit when your getting tagged while advancing, and getting out striked. Costa was even knocked down more times as well.

People have to remeber if costa tries to charge izzy he is just going to get hit hard. Izzy has one of the best straights in all of mma and some of the best accuracy. If costa rushes he is going to get hurt bad. Izzy is also really good at keeping people at a distance with those straights. Nobody has been able to get past those and fight him on the inside. It's just a very bad matchup for costa, very very good matchup for izzy though.
