I remember when I was a teen and reading Easy Rider magazine, and remembering how fantastically detailed the pictures were🤔 that David Mann was a true definition of the word artist.❤️🇺🇸

When I was a kid I scratched up the price of a Easyrider Mag every month......In large part because I would stare at the Mann pictures by the hour.....I would sketch and draw them page after page..... After I got my first Harley I would draw it sketch after sketch. Mann was a influence on me.................

It all depends on how long he will have to hold on to them or if he can sell in shop instead of auction. If he thinks he can sell them in the shop quickly; he can more than usual.

David Mann is such a legendary artist. Good to see some semi intellectual comments here, it seems like most RU-vidrs of Pawn Stars are day one types, people that need basic information knowledge, such as this is your rear end, this is a hole in the ground. Keep it coming!!!

I know that I am late to the game on this, but both of those images are pretty much self portraits. The bearded image is definitely the image that everyone is used to seeing and equating to David Mann, but if you look at photos of Mann from the mid to late 1960's, you will see him in the other image!

I used to collect easy rider just for Manns illustrations. I had a house fire in 85 and lost them and a collection of Mother Earth magazines.

like the expert said, there are complete oil paintings by the same artist that are available to be had in the $5,000 range. So he could get a lot less at auction. I don't know about this specific artist. But obviously if his work is selling for $5,000 then these little paintings with all the white space around, are not worth that much at all. This was a decent transaction for a pawn shop

the problem with folks who think they have a slam dunk of a lot of money when trying to sell something at Gold&Silver pawn shop is they already spend what they don't have yet before finding out what they can get first!! disappoinment prevention is simple... get your ducks in a row first... then figure out how you can spend what you do get !!

I fully get the reasons for the pawn shops margins and getting the best deal but being fair, however.. it is really kind of biased that Rick knows the experts. It 110% influences their decision on the price even subconsciously. Even if the experts think they're being fair, they're probably more inclined to decide in Rick's favor.

I often wonder what Rick keeps for himself. That's not a bad thing to do. Because it all comes down to personal estate value and legacy. When it comes to collectables, it's a floating variable in that it is difficult to accurately estimate net worth. Yet time and patience is an asset.

It would have wound up at 3500 anyways. Rick broke his usual MO and paid a reasonable price. I expected him to nickel & dime at 2000 and max out at "2200 not a penny more since I take all the risk. It might sit around for years and I have a shop to run."

Dave didn't do watercolor paintings, he did airbrush and.I did a lot of research the expert should take them out of the frame.I have an original painting from Dave Mann.
