While osskeet could've done without the homophobic slur, he does have a point. In virtually every Pawn Stars video there's always people saying "ITEM X IS WORTH WAY MORE THAN [insert quoted price here]!!" How would they know? Are they experts? What are their credentials? RU-vid commenters think they know it all but in the end, we're all just a bunch of people typing at a computer.

That's why Rick paid 550 for it. If it wasn't collectable, Rick wouldn't have paid so much. But say it's yours, how much value do you want it to go up by before you sell? Is it going to be worth 2000 next year, 5000 the year after, 10000 in 5 years? If it's going to go up that much sure, it's worth keeping. But it's not. Maybe in 5-10 years it might be worth $2,000.

Which is why selling it to a pawnshop is silly because you can get way more on ebay or somewhere else rather easily. Some of the items on this show make zero sense to sell to pawnshops. Art, furniture, literature, historical artifacts? Sure, sell it to Rick. But Pop Culture stuff average consumers want and can afford? That's so easy to sell.

One of the autograph experts was sued due to fraud. Apparently he authenticated an imitation as the true thing and the guy who bought it paid more than 200k in some autographed guitars and so.

1000 dollars sounds a little cheap, considering it was a limited edition of an iconic scene and it is from 2005 and on top of that it was signed. The guy said it himself that it was really rare for her signatures to appear on figurines, so considering she can't sign stuff anymore, that figurine should have been worth a lot more.

Here's one thing that always boggles my mind, and if you watch ANY Pawn Stars episodes you'll see it. Why when Rick or Corey shake hands with someone, be it a customer or a "buddy", they never look them in the eye? They are always looking down or to the side before they walk away. Just weird to me.

That expert has been discovered to be no expert at all. He's been to prison, never trained in signatures with only some training by a famous forger. He's even lied about going to college. He was a radio jock before doing this.
