Thanks Jurekis! We'll see if it's possible tomorrow, I can't spoil it :p No matter how you look at it, 39 bags are a lot of bags, and considering how slow the ziplines are... we'll see how it goes! Haha :D
Normally I'm against ECM rushing as it tends to ruin the feel of stealth. But this and some of the other full team rushes I've seen from you are amazing. Nicely done
That's great to hear Zylo, thank you very much! I agree that "cheap" ECM rushing (like salvaging messy situations that should've led to failure) is painful to watch... I'm glad that you've been enjoying these challenges, I appreciate it a lot!
0:38 reading the word "Old Heist" as a console player really puts things into perspective lmao if ONLY we could play this too I did try stealthing it a bit on PC at least so there's that but damn 39 bags?! I had no idea..i can't even imagine how painfullllll it is to solo with full loot
To put this into perspective, it makes the heist slower than just solo stealthing the Big Bank since the objectives can take longer and the guard pathing will always have 4 guards upstairs, so you either kill 3 guards thereand the camera operator and have to cover the areas in C4 or you kill all 4 and PECM to rush past cams whenever you need to walk by certain spots. Not ideal, especially because it gives nowhere near good XP or money. Only reason to grab all 39 is to flex on people.
Hey there Alex! I feel like it's been a while :D Someone else mentioned a similar thing, and it made me realize that it's really old for me, but really new in terms of storyline, and not even available on console... truly a shame. Glad that you had a chance to try it on your PC account! It does indeed take a long time to get all loot, and just as *@Grim Judgment* mentions, it's worthless because there's no bonus XP for the artifacts. Definitely go for main only, unless you wanna flex for this timed challenge!
@@Marcmb Yep it's been a while! Glad you're officially back with us ehe I'm personally totally fine with playing Payday 2 on my PS4 but man oh man I just can't wait to get my hands on Payday 3 and see all the new content that's going to come out of it, fingers crossed for a good launch! 🤞
@@LegoAlex99 Hopefully PD3 has cross platform because I'd love to be able to interact with the console playerbase since they deserve a lot of love after having to deal with the botched updates since the beginning. I've always repeatedly said that I would never buy PD3 on any platform if they screw over console players again because that was really bad for the life of Payday as a whole. Luckily after Bo Anderson has left Starbreeze, OVK seems to be making a lot better decisions though. I still sometimes ironically wear my StarVR mask and grab my Lucille and play with WW2 weapons to commemorate Raid WW2. Between you and I? Selling the rights to DbD was also a bad decision. Not having BE be under Starbreeze lost them so much money.
meanwhile in regular stealth... This zip line is so damn slow. Meanwhile in an ecm rush... ZIP LINE IF YOU DO NOT GO FASTER I WILL GO TO YOUR FACTORY AND DESTROY EVERY ZIP LINE THERE.
Thank you very much Sebas! Beautiful work indeed, it seemed impossible on paper, but thankfully one of the ziplines is considerably faster than the other 3! :D
Thank you Soviet! At first the challenge seemed mathematically impossible because of the zipline speed, but thankfully in the end we were able to pull through! Glad you're liking these rushes :D
Great Video! Really makes me get back to payday and ECM rushing (Which I will), looking forward to joining lobbies and help out in videos if need be. On the calculations i did it was actually 8.5 seconds and it was by chance the one whcih is waster by 3 seconds! The game is buggy as always with the zipline, They should really add a asset like a dumpster to secure the bags..
Thank you very much Xenon! Glad you liked it :) Looking forward to your return to the daily lobbies! For now I'm a bit too busy, but they will be returning in a few weeks (both early morning, and evening sometimes too). I noticed that your calculations happened to be with the fast zipline yup! 25% chance, very lucky :D And I suggested a dumpster/van or extra secure points a few months ago, but the devs didn't see it :(
Haha thanks Niicko! At first it definitely seemed impossible to get all 39 bags (because of the zipline speed), but in the end we found a way! Welcome to the Believers :p
Hey arif! New profile picture? That could be a cool suggestion: I definitely want to make a solo guide first, but if I ever have a full crew interested in it, I could go for that! :D
@@Marcmb I would be interested. But oh well. I didn't do a lot of PAYDAY 2 for some time. I am finally able to explore any title I want so I am a bit off...
I couldn't believe it when I saw it myself! I was starting to believe it was mathematically impossible to zipline all 39 bags within 6 minutes. Glad you're enjoying the content Dark, I appreciate it a lot :)
Thank you Falcon! Glad you liked this one :) Canada went really really well, and it's great to be back. Now I have more time to work on more complex projects, which is great :D
Little late to the vid. My thought for the poll was that it would incredibly close. Also love that you and hellcruzzer were having a contest of who could hit f faster.
No worries Chandler! It was indeed very very close, even with the fastest zipline. The ping competition was great :p very simple stuff, but very entertaining for those who understand just how "unbalanced" (or "host-favored") it was :D
Who knows, who knows! 39 bags are a lot with those slow ziplines, so hopefully there was some trick to it, or maybe we just tried our best but failed the true challenge... we'll see tomorrow! :p Either way it was a lot of fun for sure!
you can't really call shacklethorne an "old heist" when it released so close to payday's original ending, it's more so overkill gave up on preventing heists from being ecm-rushed. regardless, great video!
Very true Subsidiary! I had completely forgotten about that detail: the heist came out years ago, so in my mind I automatically classified it as "old" :p At least it's good to see that, for 90% of the new heists (starting with the Silk Road campaign), the devs are adding anti-ECM rush mechanics to all heists: most can still be bypassed with enough preparation, but it makes it more tricky and more interesting! Glad you liked the video too, thank you :)
I agree! Breakin' Feds is also a very cool one. Definitely let the host take care of the launching though, wouldn't want the run to be completely doomed because of some desync with client launches :p
@@Marcmb yeah thats mainly dependent on ping and connection distance, I can tell when i played with someone from america(im from aus) with good connection but noticed some bag desync
Yup, _sometimes_ it works flawlessly with low ping, but just in case for that rush in particular it's definitely safest to let the host take care of it :D
Very very good objection! Although here's a simple counter-argument: Car Shop was very very short, so the possibility of just placing a few ECMs very quickly trivialized the heist because there was just a short 60s hack and then the loud part. That's why the devs quickly noticed they needed to add an ECM block! Shackle on the other hand is considerably longer, so from the point of view of the general community, the devs didn't feel like this one needed to be changed :D
@@TheSubliminalCriminal That's very weird Clotted! I did this rush last week, and the latest update was 1 month ago, so it should still work! Perhaps it's some of your mods messing with it? I've seen some mods removing ECM blocks on heists like Yacht Heist, so it wouldn't be too strange...
@@Marcmb Thanks, but i just wanna try. With my friend we failed 5 or 10 and he become mad. He just not like stealth heist and i have little problem with stealth, but some practice and all of what should be easy. P.S. See your video from Murky Station. Really cool and smart. Only thing i know about boat escape scenario - you can just throw bugs into the water and they respawn over the fence. I use that trick from my first no-kill try, but he work only if fence fully covered.
True true! It's ONLY stealth because of a technicality. While the game counts it as "stealth", it's like a middle point towards loud. Almost like a third way to play the heists: because as you say the gameplay, and often the strategies, are completely different :D
Ask and you shall receive: in U222 Overkill finally gave us bonus XP for extra bags on a bunch of heists, including Shacklethorne! 1000 bonus XP EACH too, which has to be insane for this run. That'd do something like TRIPLE the yield!
Indeed, that was an insane change for this heist! It went from 15,000 base XP reward for all objectives & heist completion, to 15K + 39K for all loot. Insane buff!
Very interesting Alt! I knew some of the things that the mod displays, but I didn't know about the zipline timer. Is the mod accurate enough to know that the northwest zipline is faster than any of the other three, by about ~3.2 seconds?
@@Marcmb it just measures the time a zipline is scripted to go to and back, it has timers for total + trip forward it works on custom heists so I'm assuming yes
Haha indeed, it was a losing battle... but they bravely decided to fight anyway! :p PS. In the video which premieres in about 5 minutes, there's one scene where I actually lose the ping battle... really surprising!
I thought this was impossible. The zip line seemed way too slow. Im just gonna go and assume all stealthable heists can be ecm rushed if ur on the team dare i say loud only too
It was definitely very close Dreamer! Just a few seconds left after all the optimizations we found. Quite a fun challenge, for sure! And some of the future rushes will be even closer :D
Hey Damien, thanks for the suggestion! That one will be coming in the future, although my current plan is to start with the guides for "common stealth", because I feel like those will be useful to a wider range of heisters... stay tuned for this one too though!
Good request AcE! I don't wanna spoil too much, but there are some tricks to make that one perhaps barely possible... we're working on a few ECM rush projects simultaneously, so I don't know for sure which one will be next, but eventually I'll get to it for sure!
0:55 Hummmm i think maybe by using only the zipline for heavy and throwing down the lighter loot and do a throw chain to get all on the van. During the 10 sec. I don't know the heist i'm still doing the story mode.
That would be a good guess, Saibot, but there's no van to secure loot on this heist! So the majority of the bags have to be secured by using the zipline.
I would love that! Sadly the devs have confirmed that they don't have too much manpower to be releasing classics at this stage (especially since the precedent is classics being free), so that is unlikely to happen for a while...
Yacht heist could be ecm rushed, but once tou get to the servers the button objectives aren't available while ECMs are active. I suggest using PCMs between each server? Edit: I call pecms PCMs since it's just one letter shorter to type
Hey JackOfAllTrades! The buttons in the Yacht server room are locked regardless of whether you use ECMs or PCMs. The only viable strategy is to go for the point of no return; basically what we showcased on the rush video!
Sometimes I wish I had a full squad that’s in tune enough with me to pull this off. It’s amazing being a new player and seeing pros pull these things off On a side note, what’s the name of the hud mod? Knowing my sprint meter and ecm timer would be extremely useful
Thanks Aureum! Glad you're having fun watching these rushes :) Our Steam community has a few groups for this kind of thing! As for the HUD, you can find my mod list video in the description, with the proper download links and also install instructions if you need!
Shame you need two RNGs to go right to get all loot. Unlikely to be worth rushing compared to other extended rushes after you get it the first time for the achievement
You're absolutely correct Lucid Dream! This one is mostly for the challenge, especially considering that there's no XP reward for any of the additional artifacts, which is a shame. Maybe it will be different if the devs add a bit of bonus XP to the additional loot for this heist!
@@Marcmb Golden Grin also doesn't yield any XP for the money bags, and, if I remember correctly, The Diamond museum artifacts also don't (correct me if I'm wrong). And, despite people requesting for a long time, Overkill never added the XP reward. I doubt that will be different in this case. And, talking about the random chances of spawning, RNG modifier exists to tailor the heist to one's needs. Even though meant for speedrunning, it does not mean you can't use it to save a couple restarts if you need to. However, due to its nature, it could be put on par with Silent Assassin. Heists such as Big Bank might become too easy.
Hey le pyramid! The color is metallic blue, although I'm not 100% sure what the exact name is ingame. I'll check it later when I log in, and edit this comment!
Yup it's a shame that console is missing a lot of content compared to PC... As for the ECMs, they are a lot more fun to master when you have a big community of rushers so that you can put those skills to use in the harder rushes, but that's hard to find on console...
You think you can turn the Leech perk deck into a stealth one because of the self-revive mechanic gor some heist to just jump down on a pit and revive yourself.
Very true Saibot! Unfortunately you give up the PCMs, so it has limited applications for crew ECM rushing, but there are some heists where the self-revive is amazing!
@@Marcmb There is the option of using an out of bounds clip on golden grin to upwarp into the vault within moments of starting the heist, though sometimes it just warps you to the nearest player if you aren't solo.
@@jennyxj-9296 Yup! Basically like the speedrun I linked yesterday, very useful for speed in such situations. Unfortunately out-of-bounds strategies don't really work in multiplayer... but there are some reliable strats to get around that too!
Hey retro! I mostly do stealth only, but after I'm done with all the stealth guides, I might do short videos with the tricks I learnt for each loud heist while I was getting the DSOD mask... really far in the future though!
Hahaha! I haven't had a chance to look at the numbers (like average artifacts secured until the moment the black tablet is ready to be delivered), but this heist is definitely a lot better than it used to be! :D
Hey retro! I assume you mean "dominate", because "converting" can't be done in stealth. With that said, there's nothing stopping you from doing that, so as long as each team member dominates a different guard, you'll be fine. The maximum number of dominated guards you can have simultaneously is 4 + number of real players in the crew. For an example of multiple simultaneous dominations, I recommend checking the White House ECM rush video!
I see. In that case, the maximum number of converts is 2 _per player._ This means that, even if you have 4 players converting enemies at the same time, the outcome doesn't change: it's still 2 max per player, so there's no unintended result!
Very interesting question! I've never tested it because it's really hard to find uses for sentry guns in stealth, but I'm writing it down to cover that in the future! Thanks for the cool question Rollo!
Very good point jack! You did in fact change Bob's and h3ll's roles because of their ping difference, which was slowing down the zipline quite a bit. The fastest option would indeed have been having the host ziplining, but then the footage would've been a bit repetitive so we decided to continue with the same roles :p
Definitely quite a few tarramas, although we weren't counting! A few mistakes because nerves causing PCMs to not be placed :p luckily those were quite fast restarts! Once we got through that first PCM cycle it all went very smooth: very efficient bagging, and good progress towards the challenge!
Hahaha sorry about that Squwancher! But good to see you're still around :) The video premieres *TOMORROW* so it literally is almost here! Hopefully you can wait for it just a tiny bit :D
Hey Kanzas! That is the Locomotive 12G. The "saw build" video in the description has a section with my weapons, where the shotgun and all its modifications are shown!
