This is a very informative video. Although my maternity years are gladly behind me, I can relate to lots of areas of the Video because I have cut down on some areas of my budget as I have been on sabbatical due to burn out. I love your kitchen, it's beautiful.
Sorry to hear you experienced burnout 😔 whether it’s maternity leave, sabbaticals or cost of living impacts I guess a lot of people are having to cut back in some way. And thank you very much I worked hard on this kitchen 😂
You'd save yourself alot of time by using some personal finance management software. Something simple like Ace and can be exported straight to excel for any modelling. Very easy to use and inexpensive.
Another good and informative video. I only keep one current and one savings account, in addition to my investment accounts. May consider opening an additional account for the 'pots'. It sounds like a good strategy. Lovely to get a glimpse of baby Finance Dee❤
Love the content Dee, especially about not checking your payslip. I started investing in Feb 2021, and for me I personally struggle with not looking at my portfolio. I know I've got an obsessive personality, so once I get passionate about something I find it difficult to turn off. I cant remember if you did a video on it, but it would be great to see a video on how to disconnect from your investments and not compulsively looking at the portfolio weekly. .......... and I'm sorry I am judging you about putting sugar in your tea. Atleast you put the milk in second 😝😂
Great video idea as it’s not one I’ve done yet. Do you feel you’ve stopped looking as much as time has gone on? Haha I knew I’d be judged by some for the sugar but it is what it is 🤣🤣
@@FinanceDee I'd say I've definitely stopped looking at it as much. Maybe once every 2-4 days, whereas I was looking daily at the start. I have etfs, which pay a dividend every quarter, so have set reminders to look daily when I expect those dividends to get paid. I guess, when you've got the majority of your funds in shares, it's difficult to trust the system of compounding.
