@@anrw886 read again. And again. And again. You didnt understood what I said. The plane is good, what is useless is the "high altitude fighter" role in this game. I play it as any other energy fighter, but the ocasions where I use all of its advantages, like the engine bosst at +7000m, are very rare.

And we got the AI attackers flying at 800m instead. A nail in the coffin for high alt fighters

same for Ki83 and I225 but it's just me that I'm bad I guess xd

Cause they have bad climb but good high alt performance, like the KI87, these are cool planes but the meta hates them

@@mineshaft12 In the Ki-87, I either just go for bombers or occasionally dive down on unsuspecting players. Also, if most of the enemies are dead, and the rest are running or far away, like always in air RB, I’ve found that the Ki-87, like many late war prop planes with 20 or more caliber guns, is very good at destroying nearly everything on the ground using its guns, so I just farm Howitzers, anti-air guns, armored cars and tanks until the match ends.

It has the firepower and energy advantage at higher altitudes. Also has a higher rip speed for dives, and can make tighter turns at mid speeds with its flaps, but usually focusing on maintaining energy and altitude is best.

Better climb and little bit faster at higher altitudes. You don't want to see a Yak 3 that's higher than you and you don't want to see a Yak 3 at same altitude when at altitudes lower than 4km up. If you have teammates in the area it is not hopeless, but if you don't you gotta pray it's a bad player. Also don't turn after going head on go straight and watch your back until you can climb safely or turn around when the Yak 3 is busy. Unless your are at lower altitude and not fast enough to reset for another head on or just run away in general, then just full send it and use what ever flaps you can to get the shot in the first 2 turns if you get the chance.

@@rainsilent Pretty sure it was a 4B. My lineup with the FB.5 is 5.7 max. Fairly certain this match was an uptier. Yeah it was like my first 5 games in that plane and I fully understand how good the Corsairs are. I was still learning the plane.

They do less damage Intentional or not, they are nerfed.

@@DEFYN Yeah nah I disagree. They haven't changed anything about the shell so no intentional or unintentional(like changing the decimal point in the numbers) nerfs have been applied to the shells which makes them bugged as they're not working as intended.

They gave it another explosive type which is worse atm Untill they change that, bug or not it's the same as nerfing them

@@a_stone they removed the "ExplodeHitPower" line in drone age, which removes any shrapnel creation on impact. Any gun that does not have shrapnelling (M61, M24, M39, Aden, Akan, Defa, Gau-13/8.. etc) do not have this line. The guns which do shrapnel do have this line. I will make a bug report on it when I have the time, but this issue exists for years now, so I'm not even sure if this is intentional or not. Removing lines regarding explosive power seems pretty intentional anyway. Regarding explosive types: I have no indication that those govern any shrapnel behavior, they I think only determine the TNTe value.

You're mostly going to be facing aim9Bs or their equivalent. Only some planes like the Sea Vixen or the seldom Su25, A10 or Q5 will have better missiles, so it's mostly down to your awareness and energy thats gonna get you killed to a missile. If you're fighting a mig, use your roll against it since they have poor roll. I wouldnt dogfight unless theres absolutely no one around, going slow and fighting ppl is the easiest way to get shot by a missile or third partied, so stay fast and only dogfight if you can/have to

Tbh the Sabres are a little sad rn. That BR range needs a lot of decompression. The other commenter makes a good point though. Try to keep your speed high. You should be around the 900s and be boom and zooming. Climb very shallow to get your speed in the beginning. I’ve had the most luck with side climbing. Most things at your br and lower can’t catch you. Your roll rate is insane for defensive flying too, just don’t get slow. If you’re snapping your wings a lot or loosing too much energy in turns, you can deselect the boosters modification until you get used to the plane. The problem with the sabre is when it constantly has to fight supersonics and missiles better than the 9B. Just depends on the matchmaker. It’s 50-50. If you don’t get up-tiered, the Sabre is a beast when you learn it’s strengths. Don’t climb with migs is the only other thing. They will destroy you in the vertical and climbing department. I also use 7min of fuel except for the large EC maps. Let me know how it goes
